Those who know me know how much I love dogs and how I believe living more with the traits of our furry friends can help us become better humans. One trait that's been on my mind lately is adaptability. Dogs are incredible at adjusting to new situations and environments. I've found that embracing change, just like they do, is a critical soft skill in today's fast-paced world. Whether it's managing unexpected projects, leading through transformation, or handling sudden shifts in plans, being open to change helps us find opportunities where others might see obstacles. Here's a challenge: Next time something unexpected comes up today, try facing it with an open mind. Approach it like a dog exploring a new park—curious and ready for adventure. Congrats NestFresh EggsRoy Medico (PMP, SHRM-CP, CCWP) shared thisAs a groundbreaking innovative technology arrives in the U.S. egg industry, a major farm animal welfare certification has announced new hatchery standards for egg companies seeking to offer more humane eggs to their customers. The recently released standards from Certified Humane® allow egg producers to use a new “Approved Hatchery” claim on egg packaging if they have eliminated the common industry practice of male chick culling. Egg companies wishing to spare the suffering of male chicks can use in-ovo sexing technology to hatch only the females or choose to raise the males on farms. Consumer demand for this practice is significant: in a 2023 survey by Innovate Animal Ag, 71% of Americans reported being willing to pay a premium for eggs produced using in ovo sexing. Congratulations to NestFresh Eggs for being the first egg producer in the U.S. to use in ovo sexing technology and earn this new designation from Certified Humane. Last week, we joined NestFresh, Certified Humane, and Innovate Animal Ag to celebrate the adoption of Cheggy, the first in ovo sexing technology used in the U.S., developed by German tech company Agri Advanced Technologies GmbH.
