Margie Vargas reacted on thisMargie Vargas reacted on thisFeeling extra grateful after an inspiring LDI this week, centered around the theme “Together is our superpower.” We spent time learning how to navigate change, lean into discomfort, and grow through it—all while supporting one another along the way. It was especially impactful hearing from an incredible panel of physicians, including our very own Dr. Levy, CVI Medical Chief. And the sneak peek at our upcoming cardiac and vascular marketing campaign… simply amazing and definitely left us wanting more! ❤️💫 I’m truly honored to have received the Leadership Impact Award. This recognition means so much because it reflects the strength of the team around me. I’m beyond grateful for the mentors, colleagues, and team members who continue to support and shape me every day 🫶🏼 #MHS #MCVI

This accomplishment is also for my mom, whose support and inspiration have meant everything to me. Margie Vargas liked thisMargie Vargas liked thisToday, March 3, 2026, marks an extraordinary milestone for our organization. HCA Florida Kendall Hospital has been officially proclaimed HCA Florida Kendall Hospital Day by Miami-Dade County in recognition of being named one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for 2026 by Healthgrades — placing us among the top 1% of hospitals nationwide. As Chief Nursing Officer, this honor fills me with immense pride. This recognition speaks to our unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and consistently delivering exceptional outcomes for every patient and family who entrusts us with their care. I extend my deepest gratitude to Daniella Levine Cava, Anthony Rodriguez, and the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners for this meaningful proclamation. Your acknowledgment affirms the vital role healthcare teams play in strengthening our community. Most importantly, this distinction belongs to our extraordinary physicians, nurses, and colleagues. Every day, they lead with skill, heart, and purpose — elevating the standard of care across Miami-Dade County. It is their dedication, teamwork, and compassion that make achievements like this possible. Today, we celebrate not just an award, but the people behind it. And tomorrow, we continue the work — committed to excellence, always.

Engagement matters — but belonging transforms. At the University of Maryland Medical System, we know our team members are more than their roles. They are hero-caregivers who bring their identity, values and lived experiences into the workplace every day. When we create an environment where team members truly feel they belong, and where they see themselves in our mission; performance, safety, and culture thrive. Belonging isn’t a perk. It is a core driver of retention, resilience and reliability. It’s what allows people to bring their best selves to work and to deliver the very best care. That’s why we are weaving belonging into every stage of the team member experience — from recruitment and onboarding to leadership development and recognition. Because when people know they matter, extraordinary things happen.

Burnout doesn’t explode overnight. It shifts quietly. That’s why strong leadership requires pattern recognition — not just performance management. When I spoke with Suzanna de Baca we discussed moving from individual coping to organizational sustainability. The real question isn’t: “How do we fix the person?” It’s: “What signals are we missing?” Leadership is noticing early. Leadership is aligning expectations with culture. Leadership is designing environments where people can perform sustainably. It’s easy to complain, and it sometimes feels good. But- it accomplishes nothing. Even more so, one of my favorite quotes is, “What leaders do in moderation, their followers will do in excess.” When it comes to complaining, we have to catch ourselves in the moment and redirect, especially as leaders. Otherwise, we give permission- and even encouragement- for it to spread through the team. The solution? Have the courage to address the person or situation you’re complaining about. It’s much harder but will build both trust and your personal brand to be a person of action instead of negativity.

Excited to amplify this! Michael Sabbag is one of the most thoughtful and results-driven leaders I know, and I can say that firsthand as someone he has mentored. His ability to align leadership with strategy and deliver real results is something I've seen up close. If your organization is serious about turning strategy into execution, this is someone worth connecting with.

The neurorehabilitation, complex rehab technology, medical device, and workers' compensation industries are at the crossroads of critical mass for personal exoskeletons. Injured workers and patients are asking for them, the technology has evolved to a place where therapeutic modality meets home and community activity, and with Medicare recently coding and paying for exos for in-home use, it feels like a new standard of care could be... just a few steps away. It's time for us to learn who can benefit from this incredible technology, when the clinical intervention should take place, and how it all works to drive better outcomes and quality of life for those we serve. Join us for a free session (PACE-accredited for case managers and informational for all) on Wednesday 10/29 to learn more!

AdventHealth is honored to support eight nonprofit partners across Central Florida that are expanding essential mental health services and creating new workforce opportunities for residents. With so many individuals facing mental health challenges — and many working adults still unable to access stable housing and long-term financial health — these programs will bring care, connection and opportunity to more of our neighbors. This work reflects a shared commitment to whole-person well-being and a belief that every individual deserves the chance to build a healthier, more stable future.

What if the employer value proposition included this promise: ✨ We’ll help you build transferable, universally recognized skills that prepare you for internal mobility and your long-term career, wherever it takes you. ✨ That’s the power of a skills-first approach. Walmart joined other major employers to support the launch of SkillsFirst.org, an initiative by the The Burning Glass Institute that helps organizations rethink hiring and development around skills, not just credentials. And they're putting it into practice with new in-store training academies. My immediate reaction This isn’t just a retail play. The same model can and should expand into healthcare, educational services, transportation and beyond. Because when you build skills, you build possibility. For the employee, it’s a career accelerator. For the organization, it’s a deeper value proposition that boosts engagement, loyalty, and leadership pipelines. The future of work belongs to employers who treat skills like the currency they are. Thanks Frank Congiu for sharing this article #SkillsFirst #FutureOfWork #CareerMobility #EmployeeExperience #HRLeadership https://lnkd.in/eDtVzWkP

As Founder & President of Lean In Latinas, I can’t overlook what the #WomenInTheWorkplace25 report tells us: Latinas represent just 1% of the C-suite. That’s a reality we have to change. Companies need to keep investing in fair hiring, real career development, and strong mentorship and sponsorship programs. And here’s the part that always grounds me in hope: Latinas are not short on ambition, quite the opposite. Nearly 9 in 10 Latinas want to move up to the next level, more than any other group of women. The drive is there. The talent is there. Now we need workplaces to step up and match that commitment. October holds a lot — it’s World Mental Health Day, Hispanic Heritage Month, and LGBTQ+ History Month. For many of us, it’s a time of pride and celebration. But for others, it’s also a time of pain, fear, or exhaustion. When our communities are under attack through anti-immigrant rhetoric, anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, or the constant devaluing of marginalized identities people carry that weight into work. They may be showing up in fight, flight, or freeze, doing their best to stay composed in spaces that don’t always feel safe. Trauma-informed leadership asks us to hold space for both realities. To celebrate identity and acknowledge harm. To lead with empathy, patience, and understanding — because not having to worry about your safety, your family’s status, or your right to exist authentically is a privilege, and with that privilege comes responsibility. Trauma-informed leadership means remembering that behavior is often communication. It means slowing down before reacting and asking “What support might they need right now?” instead of “What’s wrong with them?” and making it safe for folks to share when they are not showing up as their best selves and to ask for the support they need. Sometimes it's as simple as starting your meetings with a genuine "how are you doing today?" #WorldMentalHealthDay #TraumaInformedLeadership #HispanicHeritageMonth #LGBTQHistoryMonth #InclusiveLeadership #peoplefirst
