Lou Anne Banks liked thisLou Anne Banks liked thisSeptember is right around the corner. We are about to enter the final four months of the year and this is usually where you start hearing people talk about everything they are going to do next year. Fuck that. There is still a third of the year left. Four months is a long time. You can close a huge deal. Hire the person who changes your business. Lose the weight. Fix the problem you have been avoiding. Have your best month of the year. Hell, you can completely change the trajectory of your year in four months. I have had plenty of years where things didn’t go according to plan. Bad months happen. Deals fall apart. Employees leave. Shit happens that you didn’t see coming. But the calendar doesn’t care. September 1st is an opportunity to look at where you are versus where you said you were going to be and decide what you’re going to do about it. Don’t start planning for 2027 yet. There is still a lot of 2026 left. Go make something happen. Leap Brands

Lou Anne Banks reacted on thisLou Anne Banks reacted on thisWe are overwhelmed with gratitude. Because of YOU, Mattie has made it all the way to the Top 3 out of nearly 200,000 amazing children in the Toddler of the Year competition. People across America and Canada voted, shared her story, told their friends and rallied behind a little girl most had never even met. Along the way, some incredible people—including Boy George, Robert Earl, PK, the Baldwins, and Jimmy Wahlberg—helped amplify Mattie’s story and her mission. And while we are still awaiting the final results, this was always about something much bigger than a contest. It was about using Mattie’s story to help make sure the next baby doesn’t need a miracle. It was about bringing awareness to biliary atresia and building support for Mattie’s Law and Universal Newborn Screening for every child born in America. But this week’s achievement carries an even deeper meaning for our family. The photos above are of Mattie with Dr. G, her GI doctor whom we have talked about so many times before. We believe every doctor who dedicates their life to saving children is a superhero—but Dr. G was SUPER HUMAN. He IS the reason Mattie is still in this world. He is the reason we have the privilege of fighting this fight today, trying to change the lives of other children just as he changed ours. This week, after a long and courageous fight with cancer, Dr. G left this world and went straight to Heaven. We honor this extraordinary man and a life amazingly lived. His legacy will live forever in Mattie and in every child whose life he touched, changed or saved. YOU HAVE OUR VOTE DR.G FOR 'DOCTOR OF THE CENTURY'! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for believing in Mattie, fighting for Mattie, and most importantly, fighting alongside her for the babies who come next. ❤️ And to Dr. G — we will keep fighting in your name and for all you have done for so many of us. The contest may be ending. The mission is just beginning. AdventHealth AdventHealth for Children AdventHealth Central Florida Allison Walker Beacham

Lou Anne Banks reacted on thisLou Anne Banks reacted on thisThis is what vacation looks like…all smiles. But I am riddled with anxiety throughout the day with work that could have been done, clients, candidates or guests waiting for a response. It’s so hard to be able to balance work and personal life when you are trying to build businesses. Regardless of the capabilities of my team and employees I can never check out mentally. Am I having fun? Yes a blast? Do I kick myself in the ass at the end of the day because I feel I could have squeezed in another hour of work in the morning if I didn’t “sleep in” or if I stayed up just a little later in my sleeping quarters? Yeah I have that lol. Absolutely. But this is what I signed up for and honestly I wouldn’t have it any other way. Unless I won the lottery and could just play golf with my kids and hang out with my family without worrying if bills would get paid. That would be cool.

Lou Anne Banks reacted on thisLou Anne Banks reacted on thisThis week, my Mahjong Ladies surprised me by reuniting me with a former colleague and dear mentor I hadn’t seen in 20 years. The beautiful irony is that this reunion happened because I decided to build a new community. For most of my life, I had no real hobbies. I was always working, traveling or raising my children. This year, I wanted to learn something new, so I joined a Mahjong group. I’m terrible at it. But these women keep teaching me, encouraging me and inviting me back. And somehow, this brand-new community brought someone precious from an earlier chapter of my life back to me. It reminded me how often community has carried me through life’s transitions. At the beginning of my career, so many people helped me find my way. When I became a first-time mom, I had no idea what I was doing. My friends seemed to be loving motherhood, while I was struggling deeply. I sought advice from every mother I could find. I needed a new community. When my children entered school, I was a working mom who traveled a great deal. I wasn’t at the pickup line or the PTA meetings, so I had to find community in a different way. Those Moms had my back when I couldn’t always be there. Years later, when my firstborn left for college, it rocked both my world and my identity. I was living in a new city without my familiar “mom community.” Looking back, I realize I didn’t build a new one—and I suffered because of it. Every chapter of life brings a pivot. And every pivot asks us to find the people who understand the version of ourselves we are becoming. This week, that lesson came back to me through both an old connection and a new one. I also had a wonderful conversation with a friend I met earlier this year through Our Third Place as she prepared to begin a new job and a new chapter of her own. Community isn’t something we find once and keep forever. We have to keep building it—sometimes even rebuilding it—as our lives and identities change. Sometimes a new community helps us move forward. And sometimes, in the most unexpected and wonderful way, it reconnects us with a part of ourselves—and people from our past—we didn’t realize we were missing. I’m deeply grateful for both.

Love that this stuck out to you Allie H.! Positioning isn’t a marketing exercise. It’s the ultimate decision filter! It shows up in: • what you put on the menu • what you take OFF the menu • where you spend • where you say no And most importantly… how consistent you’re willing to be when it gets uncomfortable (we’ve all been there, right?!) Everyone wants a North Star. Very few teams actually follow it. That’s the ACTUAL work. And that’s where brands either scale… or stall.

A study of Q4 2024's holiday shopping season measured incremental campaign performance for brands who used Direct Mail as a part of their marketing mix. The results? - Campaigns boasted more than +10x ROAS - DM recipients ordered 8.6% more, and had 7.4% higher AOV Do your prospects need that final nudge to convert? Rely on the only marketing channel that delivers a physical impression. https://lnkd.in/ejqVBRxA
