About the Role: Reporting to the CFO (and indirectly to the India GM), you will manage HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, payroll coordination, compliance, employee engagement, and recruitment. 📊 August 2025 Employment Situation – BLS Update The U.S. labor market held steady in August: * +22,000 jobs added overall, with little change since April * Unemployment rate at 4.3% (7.4M people) * Labor force participation: 62.3% (flat from July, down 0.4 pp YoY) * Healthcare (+31k) and Social Assistance (+16k) drove gains *Offsetting declines in Federal Government (-15k), Manufacturing (-12k, including -15k in transportation equipment due to strikes), and Wholesale Trade (-12k) * Average hourly earnings: $36.53 (+3.7% YoY) * Average workweek: 34.2 hours 📉 Revisions: June adjusted down to -13,000, July revised up to +79,000 (net -21,000 jobs). 🔎 Takeaway: Growth remains uneven — healthcare is a bright spot, while goods-producing industries continue to lag. The latest Staffing Industry Analysts| Bullhorn Staffing Indicator shows overall staffing hours ticking slightly above 2025 levels. As we enter a 13-week stretch without federal holidays, we should start to have a clearer view of true market demand. One point of clarification: property management staffing is often overlooked in industry reporting. It typically falls under commercial staffing, not IT and not traditional light industrial. That distinction matters. Multifamily hiring trends reflect occupancy, development activity, and operator confidence. We’re watching closely to see whether 2026 brings cautious backfilling or more meaningful team investment. Staffing Industry Pulse Survey - September 2025 The latest Staffing Industry Analysts Pulse Survey reveals flat year-over-year revenue growth across US staffing firms, with IT and locum tenens leading at +5%, while travel nursing and per diem segments declined. Client delays are hitting small firms hardest - 30% report paused projects vs. just 13% for large firms. Yet, large firms saw a 3% revenue decline, while mid-sized firms posted a 1% increase, and small firms remained flat. Despite challenges, new orders are up 10%, but sales and recruiting difficulties persist, signaling a tough demand environment. The takeaway? Mid-sized firms seem to be navigating the turbulence better, possibly due to greater agility.
