John Thomas Lang reposted thisJohn Thomas Lang reposted thisRain and Coinflow have been solving the same problem from different angles for a while now. Different entry points leading to the same finish line: money that moves instantly and securely, without the friction this industry has endured for decades. On September 14th, we’re bringing the teams together during MoneyLIVE North America to discuss where this is all going over cocktails and food at the iconic Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse. If you're in #Chicago for #MoneyLIVE — or you just live here and want in on the conversation — request an invite below. Spots are limited. 🍽️ https://lnkd.in/gpMsgF-p

John Thomas Lang reposted thisJohn Thomas Lang reposted thisMost fintech teams think AI visibility is out of their hands. Decided by Reddit, review sites, luck. We found one lever you fully control that predicted almost everything. We plotted 21 fintech brands two ways. How often AI cites their own website. And how often AI recommends them. The relationship was almost a straight line. Correlation of 0.96. It held across two different categories. Put simply: the brands AI reads are the brands AI recommends. The ones it never cites, it never names. And no single site runs the table. Even Stripe's, the most-cited of all, is just 1.6% of citations. That's the point. This is a game of accumulation, on pages you own, and it compounds. The more AI reads your site, the more it recommends you next time. So the question isn't "how do we get on Reddit." It's "is AI even reading our site?" Most fintechs have never looked.

John Thomas Lang reposted thisJohn Thomas Lang reposted thisStablecoins are infrastructure. This room proved it. On July 29, 2026, nearly 200 builders, investors, and operators packed into Coinflow HQ for the first-ever Chicago Stablecoin Day, co-hosted by Brale, CMT Digital, and zerohash. Three core takeaways stood out: → Stablecoins are already running commerce in verticals nobody expects — remittances, agriculture, loyalty, even fantasy sports. Six early-stage teams proved it live on stage. → The legitimacy question is over. A live product launch from Brale, the CFO's perspective on stablecoin rails, and a room full of institutions building here made that clear. → Chicago is not watching from the sidelines. It's building the next layer of financial infrastructure the same way it built the last one. & we caught it all on camera. 🎥 Full video only on our YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/gY2r7Fc6 Thanks to everyone that made it out to Chicago Stablecoin Day. John Thomas Lang shared this10 weeks ago, Coinflow welcomed two marketing interns to the fold. What happened next exceeded every expectation I had. 🥹 Snigdha Rai moved to Chicago just for this opportunity and immediately operated like a seasoned pro. I threw everything at her. Events, content, social, research. She caught and crushed it all. & then asked for more. She's heading back to New York University for her senior year, and whatever team lands her after graduation is getting a great one. Dennesia T. is one of the sharpest strategic collaborators I've ever worked with. Full stop. From product marketing to sales enablement to AI GTM tooling, she built foundational systems at Coinflow speed. The University of Chicago Booth School of Business MBA energy from the jump & it showed. She's not done with Coinflow either. Stay tuned. & then there's Devin Pickell, the machine powering three of our top marketing channels. What I appreciate most isn't the output (it's prolific, tbh)... It's how he thinks. Positioning. Narrative. How content compounds. He gets it in a way that's genuinely rare, and he makes everything we publish sharper, smarter, and more intentional. The Fearless Four™️ behind Coinflow's marketing success. I came into this role knowing full well I was building the marketing function from scratch. What I didn't know was how quickly I'd find marketers who cared as deeply about the art and science of it all as I do. That's the rarest thing in this business. And I found it three times over. I'm so grateful for this crew. tysm. 🫶 💐 Let's give these three some flowers today, y'all. 💐

John Thomas Lang shared thisHot take: whatever your AI search strategy is, it's already not working for three of the four engines your buyers are actually using. 😵💫 We ran more than 8k real fintech buyer prompts through ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude with Yolando Research to see exactly how that plays out. → The four engines agree on a brand only 12% of the time. Nail one and you've covered a quarter of the picture. → The single most-cited source in every vertical we studied wasn't anyone's homepage. It was Reddit. → Two full categories, neobanks and lending, still have no brand above 30% visibility. The shortlist is still being written. The one that hit closest to home: in stablecoin infrastructure, the current leader (our friends at Circle) sits at just 21% visibility. The opportunity in AI search visibility is there. & it’s got marketing sickos like me having a ball trying to figure it all out. 🤓 Nerd out with me → https://lnkd.in/gXSGmUkdWhat 8,288 AI Answers Reveal About AI Search Visibility in FintechWhat 8,288 AI Answers Reveal About AI Search Visibility in Fintech

John Thomas Lang reposted thisJohn Thomas Lang reposted thisCoinflow is proud to be a founding member of the Agentic Payments Alliance, a new coalition convened by Rain to help define how AI agents authorize, settle, and move money. No single company should get to decide how agents transact. That's the problem the Alliance exists to solve. It brings together payment networks, infrastructure providers, and innovative startups in the same room before those decisions are made in isolation. Founding members include Circle, Fiserv, Mastercard, Visa, and 20+ more spanning #payments, #stablecoins, and #infrastructure. Our stake in it is the same one we've been building since Tempo's Machine Payments Protocol and Mastercard's Agent Pay for Machines: agentic commerce needs a Network of Networks, not another closed rail. Early work includes: → Testing standards for agent identity and authorization → Shared research on fraud and loyalty in agentic transactions → Advocacy on the regulatory questions this space can't avoid Discover more on why we joined from our CTO & Co-Founder, Benjamin Meeder → https://lnkd.in/gNqQzhS5Coinflow Joins Rain's Agentic Payments Alliance to Help Define How Agents PayCoinflow Joins Rain's Agentic Payments Alliance to Help Define How Agents Pay

John Thomas Lang shared thisI joined Coinflow one year ago today. 🫡 A small but mighty team of technologists building the future of payments right here in my backyard. #Chicago I knew immediately. This team had created a sleeping giant. The category was burgeoning. Adoption was real. The regulatory tailwinds were blowing. The story was waiting to be told. That's the sweet spot for a marketing sicko like me. 🤌 I don't say that lightly after a decade in #fintech. I've seen a lot of "next big things" that weren't. This one was different. So I made the bet. 0-to-1 builds are never clean. There are weeks when everything is on fire simultaneously, and weeks when I question whether I am moving fast enough, building the right things, and betting on the right ideas. That's the job. You just keep on building. 😎 What I didn't fully anticipate was my conviction in the category itself. #Stablecoins are an infrastructure story. Core utility for money movement. It's everything #crypto has never been. That's a fun story to tell every day. 🤓 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸. 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿. → Took Coinflow from single-digit ARR to triple-digit ARR → ~8x monthly revenue growth and ~15x transaction volume → $40M+ in marketing-attributed pipeline → Transformed the brand and built an owned and earned content machine from scratch alongside Devin Pickell, representing two of our top three marketing channels now → Strategic partnerships with Brale, Highnote, Mastercard, Monad, Tempo, and more — deals that moved the category forward → Hosted world-class event experiences with partners like CMT Digital, nSure.ai, Persona, Rain, zerohash, and more → Concepted and successfully launched the first-ever Chicago Stablecoin Day → Watched a global community of builders, investors, and operators grow in real time → Grew the team from 17 to 70+ and moved into our very own River North HQ None of it happens without this passionate team that outworks, outthinks, and out-cares every expectation I had walking in. Some of the most talented, kind, and hard-working humans I've ever met. I'm proud of what we're building right here in Chicago, and I'm so grateful to the Coinflow crew for believing in my vision and supporting me from day one. 🫶 & it's time. I'm hiring our first full-time marketer to join this team and help us keep the coins flowing. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gsvqsnyj & it's just the beginning. Year two. LFG! ✌️

John Thomas Lang reacted on thisVisa and Bank of China (Hong Kong) are piloting agent-initiated payments inside the city's GenA.I. Sandbox++. An AI agent in the BOC Pay+ ecosystem will find, start, and finish purchases on platforms like OpenRice, with Visa supplying the rails, the controls, and the consent framework. The part I keep chewing on is disputes. Every card rule we have assumes a human authorized the transaction. Fraud models, chargeback rights, the whole idea of cardholder intent sit on that one assumption. So what happens when an agent buys the wrong thing? It isn't fraud exactly, and it isn't buyer's remorse either. The dispute taxonomy just doesn't have a box for it yet, and networks move slowly on anything that touches liability. Sure, it's a sandbox proof of concept, and most of those expire quietly. Since we launched card issuing at Coinflow, though, the demand we see rhymes with this. Platforms don't ask for one card that can do anything. They ask for credentials scoped to a purpose, with limits set at creation. My guess is that's what agents end up running on, whichever pilot gets there first.

Every marketer and PMM needs to know this. Ten growth plays look smart but often backfire. Here’s what to avoid: 1️⃣ A redesign does not equal a growth strategy. It may seem fresh, but it resets your data. This often leads to short-term performance issues. Consider it a foundation move, not a quick win. 2️⃣ Copying your competitor’s strategies can kill your context. You see their results, not their reasoning. What fits their audience might alienate yours. Focus on learning from patterns, not just playbooks. 3️⃣ More channels do not guarantee growth. Spreading thin on SEO, SEM, and paid social dilutes your efforts. Double down on what’s working for you. 4️⃣ Paid traffic is just rented attention. Stop paying, and you disappear. Instead, focus on building owned and earned reach—community, referrals, and organic loops. 5️⃣ Micro-optimizations rarely move the needle. Changing button colors or CTAs without strategy is just decoration. 6️⃣ Reactivity isn’t agility. Constantly pivoting based on every metric spike creates chaos. Strategize and know what metrics to ignore. 7️⃣ Not every test needs significance. Small teams can prioritize fast learning over perfection. 8️⃣ Ignoring post-launch optimization is a silent killer. The launch is only the beginning of real growth work. 9️⃣ Chasing virality over retention burns trust. Sustainable brands focus on repeat engagement and lasting value. 🔟 Your growth model has an expiration date. Review it every 18 months. Adapt to evolving buyer behavior. Growth isn’t about chasing every shiny tactic. It’s about knowing which ones to ignore. How will you change your approach?

Spend less. Grow smarter. That’s the mindset shift companies need to make. Especially now. In his conversation with Measured, our own Daniel Pahl unpacks a smarter approach to media investment: stop chasing volume and start chasing value. When growth slows, most brands default to spend more. But smart brands ask spend better... where? Daniel breaks down how Chameleon Collective helps clients align media budgets with real business outcomes, not vanity metrics. By connecting marketing strategy to financial impact, we eliminate wasted spend, elevate what's working, and build measurement practices that both CMOs and CFOs can stand behind. Forget media management. We’re engineering growth strategies built for profitability. The most expensive line item in your agency contract? The org chart. That’s the overhead tax. And if you’re a growth-stage B2B or SME leader chasing pipeline targets, you shouldn’t be footing that bill. In a typical agency setup, five people join your meetings, but only one is actually doing the work. And that person is juggling six other clients. But when you’re testing new positioning angles every quarter and reacting to competitor moves in real time, you don’t need layers – you need expertise. Enter Moonlet. ✅ Work directly with senior strategists and creatives ✅ Ditch the drag, the theatre and the bureaucracy ✅ Move at the speed the market demands Because when you’re chasing aggressive growth, you need a partner as lean and hungry as you are… not one optimised for its own overhead. https://lnkd.in/d9mGCtKz #B2BMarketing #MarketingStrategy #DigitalMarketing

Marketing is not only not a suggestion box, it’s not on-demand production center either. Trust your marketing team and you will go farther. They test and learn every day. They know what’s working today … and are always prepared to adapt for tomorrow… when the world will inevitably change. They do in fact see things across the business from more angles than most. That’s not bragging rights. It’s just objectively the result of extensive exposure to the demands from more departments AND continual research of external stakeholders’ needs. Your initiative is not their only focus. They have “priority” initiatives coming at them left and right. So they are constantly synthesizing and streamlining. And their strategic flex is that they know where your audience is at… yesterday, today, and tomorrow. They are the guardians of target audience needs, wants, and…. *capacity to absorb*. They also understand how to *translate* things (especially the hyper technical jargon) so the audience you serve will be able to understand what you’re trying to explain to help them make better decisions about the solutions they buy and use. Finally marketers - and also sales specialists - are probably the most comfortable team members in your organization when it comes to handling failure. They’re aiming for results and failure (back to test and learn) breeds resilience. (Google Roger Federer’s 2024 commencement address at Harvard on his winning v losing percentage … perfection is impossible and the GOATs are cool with that… not gonna weigh them down.) So… please take a beat a recognize that your marketing colleagues are not the arts and crafts club. We are your strategic partners. Pinky promise! And if you’re up for a New Year’s challenge, ring up someone in marketing today and ask about going to lunch. We LOVE to share ideas and insights too. Let’s all be more curious in 2026! It’ll be fun. 🤩
