David Bean shared thisDavid Bean shared thisWe’re proud to have a deep bench of phenomenal women leaders at Instacart. Over half of our executive team are women who are helping drive conversations about advocacy, mentorship, and career growth from the top. As our theme for celebrating Women’s History Month this year is March Forward: Empowering women at Instacart (and beyond), we asked some of our fearless leaders what advice they share with their teams, and all women, as they navigate their careers. Alla Mezhvinsky, our Head of Recruiting shares her advice on raising your hand and how to evaluate companies when looking for your next opportunity: "When building your career, my advice is to be curious, ask questions and raise your hand for opportunities in front of you, even if you feel they are a stretch. Strive to challenge yourself and step out of your comfort zone. Try different things and be okay with some of them not working out or not feeling right – learning what you don’t want to do is one step closer to realizing what you do want to do. I truly believe that every work experience, good or bad, is a learning opportunity. If you’re fortunate enough to build a team, hire people that complement your strengths and weaknesses, you can mentor and learn from, and that have mutual trust and respect for one another. When exploring new opportunities, use the 3Ps to evaluate a company: phase, product and people: 1️⃣ Companies exist at every stage, you have to find the right phase that fits your lifestyle, working style, and your willingness to take on risk or preference for stability. From startups to more established companies, there’s something for everyone. 2️⃣ Find a product and space you’re excited and passionate about. Is it a product you use? Can you explain it to your family and friends? I’ve interviewed at companies where at the end of the hiring process, I still couldn’t truly grasp what they’re building or the problem they’re solving. 3️⃣ We spend so much of our lives at work, really think about the people you’re surrounded by: do they challenge you? Do you enjoy working with them? Are you having fun? Every job and company will have ups and downs, but what makes or breaks the experience is the group of people you go through it all with!" #sageadvice #careeradvice #womenshistorymonth #recruiting

David Bean reacted on thisDavid Bean reacted on thisI launched Amplify for Good four years ago with a simple goal: to help mission-driven nonprofits unlock the resources and capacity they need to lift up their communities. I CANNOT believe how the time has flown! It feels like yesterday that I was sitting at a cafe with my best friend, Miah Jeffra, mulling over what it might be like to go out on my own. I expressed real fear, and also an irrepressible excitement that I could serve more causes and support more corners of our incredible City of Los Angeles. As I approach the 4-year mark, I’m feeling overwhelming gratitude for the nonprofit partners who have trusted me to tell their stories, build their funding pipelines, and help them navigate key transitions. Together, Amplify for Good has: 🔹 Partnered with 20+ visionary nonprofits across social services, housing, health, youth development, and the arts. 🔹 Helped secure more than $4M in transformative gifts and grants. 🔹 Built sustainable fundraising systems and multi-year plans while training board members to become confident advocates for their cause. To every executive director, board member, and development team member who has invited Amplify for Good into their inner circle: THANK YOU. Your dedication to your mission inspires absolutely everything I do. Fundraising isn't just about raising dollars. It's about giving people an invitation to be part of something bigger than themselves. Even in these unprecedented times, I truly believe that when organizations build authentic relationships and tell clear, compelling stories, momentum builds and support follows. THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Here’s to the next chapter of amplifying good together! Special thanks to Jesse Torres and Dan Hanley who generously offered me guidance and encouragement when I was first getting started. And massive gratitude to some of the wonderful partners I’ve had the honor to work alongside: Pasadena Senior Center | Descanso Gardens | My Friend's Place | Open Space Therapy Collective | Pasadena Symphony and POPS | Rose Bowl Aquatics Center | Urban Voices Project | Independent Living Center of Souther California Somer Sherwood-White | Akila Gibbs | Mary Merino-Avila | Susan Zeren Dutra | Heather Carmichael | Matt Scharf | Nicholas Fisher | Howard Kahn | Renae Johnson MPS, LPCC, ATR-BC | Shakara Wyatt | Christa Lorenz, M.A. | Liliane R.. | Liliane R. #NonprofitFundraising #NonprofitConsulting #FundraisingStrategy #DevelopmentPlan #BoardTraining #GrantWriting #AmplifyForGood #WorkAnniversary #LANonprofits

David Bean reacted on thisDavid Bean reacted on this✨ Back where my heart is. 💜 Today I’m excited to be returning to brightwheel! As a mom of two preschoolers, I’m also a brightwheel parent. Helping build something that gives time back to educators and gives parents a window into their child’s day is work that feels deeply meaningful. Being the mom at school who gets to say, “I work at brightwheel,” never gets old. 🫶 Coming back also means returning to a mission I believe in, leadership principles that align deeply with my values, and a culture where I know I do my best work. A huge thank you to Dave Vasen for believing in me, to Lauren Anderson and Caitlyn Metteer for being incredible leaders, and to the HRBP team Katie Heller, Gabriela Recio, and Hassaan Gorsi—for making this work so meaningful. Here’s to new beginnings (again), and to supporting the educators and families who are shaping the next generation every single day. 💜

David Bean reacted on thisNew chapter. I’m excited to announce that I’ve joined Radiant as a Senior Technical Recruiter where I’ll be helping build the teams developing Kaleidos, Radiant’s 1 MWe portable nuclear microreactor. Kaleidos is being designed as a mass-producible and easily transportable microreactor capable of providing clean, safe, and resilient power for remote communities, hospitals, data centers, military installations, and other critical applications. I’ll be partnering closely with teams across electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, test, software, and more. If you’re an engineer or builder looking for meaningful work, real ownership, and the opportunity to help bring a next-generation nuclear energy platform into the world, let’s connect. We have a lot to build. https://lnkd.in/gGcvVYfX #NuclearEnergy #Engineering #Recruiting #AdvancedManufacturing #Radiant

David Bean reacted on thisDavid Bean reacted on thisIn May 2015, I joined a scrappy pre-Series A company called Outreach, under $1M in ARR at the time. We were fortunate to be led by an incredible group, including Manny Medina Andrew Kinzer Wes Hather Gordon Hempton and my mentor and friend, Mark Kosoglow Outreach didn't just shape my career, it became part of my identity. My blood runs Blurple. There are too many customer friendships and internal relationships built over 11 years to name here and thank, but together we did something few companies ever do: we created and defined a category, and still lead it today. We grew to a multi-nine-figure business with limited resources. We were early to see the consolidation coming to this space, and built for it. We took on the hard, unglamorous work of governance, security, stability, and scale. Being a small part of that journey has been one of the honors of my career. In this new AI era, everything Outreach has built is about to matter more, not less. AI execution, control, and extensibility are only becoming more valuable, and they create something that's genuinely rare right now: trust. It's been a long road. Today, the right team is in place, Abhijit Mitra Nadia Rashid Cathlyn Lang Nithya Lakshmanan Drew Laxton and Holly Simmons and I fully believe Outreach is about to reclaim its rightful place. Which makes this bittersweet: July 13th, 2026 is my last day at Outreach, and the first step into something new at gaiia. Marc Campagna built and sold his ISP, Oxio, to Cogeco, and along the way discovered a massive gap in the OSS/BSS options available to improve customer experience. It's a legacy space overdue for transformation. Fresh off a $40M Series B, Gaiia is becoming the first AI- and workflow-driven System of Action built to fix customer satisfaction in a market worth billions. Gaiia has the vision, the people, the product, and the momentum, and I get to build it alongside old friends: Stephen Farnsworth Taylor Hanson Reilly Devine Ryan Jander David Brudnicki and Cari (Olson) Robinson. Time to build again. More to come.

David Bean reacted on thisDavid Bean reacted on thisAfter five and a half incredible years at Anduril Industries, it's time for me to begin a new chapter. When I joined, Anduril was a company of just a few hundred employees. Today, it has grown to nearly 10,000 people, and it's been amazing to witness and contribute to that journey. Along the way, I've learned an incredible amount about scaling organizations, building world-class teams, and supporting some of the brightest engineers and leaders in the industry. A special thank you to Kristi Radzieta for bringing me onboard and to the many teammates (Adam Stern, Allie Swenson, Jax Looby, Jack Barton, Nina Magan, Kelly Milsop), hiring managers, recruiters, and leaders I've had the privilege of partnering with over the years. The relationships I've built at Anduril are what I'll value most from this experience. As for what's next, I'm excited to be joining a defense technology company operating in stealth mode, where I'll be leading Talent Acquisition. The team is developing cutting-edge technology focused on solving critical national security challenges, and I couldn't be more excited about the opportunity ahead. We'll be growing rapidly, so keep an eye on my updates. I look forward to sharing more as we're able and connecting with exceptional talent interested in helping build the future. #defense #hiring Thank you, Anduril. Onward!! No…you can’t have my construction helmet 😊

David Bean reacted on thisDavid Bean reacted on thisJust since Friday, I've built, deployed, and shaped my entire CoWork along with my team's environment: ✅ Built skills across my team's entire environment (JD writers, comms, debrief facilitators, sourcing, role prioritization, exec business reviews, offer pipelines, onboarding handoffs, competitive intelligence, TA command center, and my own personal chief of staff... to name a few) ✅ Built agents for many different functions across the team's environment: (Sourcing, req review) ✅ Developed a Claude Council to assess my environment and convene for all my projects. The council chair gives me recommendations on what to do. ✅ Connected my CoWork to all internal MCPs available; created Vercel and GitHub repos for customer MCP connector and project builds ✅ Learned how to prompt my terminal to build connectors ✅ Created my own Analytics platform for daily briefs in my Slack ✅ Created custom Zapier autonomous workflows between internal systems and Slack to run 24/7 and send on schedules to the appropriate partners. It's fun, it's challenging, it's time-consuming (on the front end), and it's GAME CHANGING. Be prepared to shift how you think and operate; it's required. #ai #Claudecowork #talentacquisition #leadership #HR
