The quote-to-cash process has always been incredibly fragmented and disconnected. Companies stitch together CRM, CPQ, and ERPs with point solutions and humans in between to cover billing, collections, and revenue recognition. Even after painful implementations and huge spend, finance teams are still left with endless manual workflows. LLMs have changed the game. LLMs are incredibly good at reading contracts and pulling out billable logic. Being able to automate invoice creation and the downstream billing workflows has suddenly become possible. In our last demo day, Tabs demonstrated the potential for a true end-to-end revenue automation platform. No more stitching together disconnected tools. No more armies of humans handling manual workflows. Just clean, automated, end-to-end revenue operations. #CFO #FractionalCFO #Delegation #Micromanagement In my recent conversation in a group of Senior Finance Professional, I noticed that a CFO felt proud to set-up a 'Chart of Accounts / CoA' for a Group Entity. For most it may sound a sense of achievement, but here are some points to ponder : 1. CoA is very essential aspect of the Core FnA function, but does it require time commitment from a CFO, if yes how much? Should you be bragging about it. 2. It should ideally be delegated to the Controller or to a Middle Management personnel to set-up, with limited involvement by the CFO. 3. CFO should focus more on the Business Strategy, Investors, Stakeholders and Oversight of the overall Finance function While working in Corporate, I have noticed several Finance Leaders / CFO's doing micro-management of operational tasks or reviewing core accounting activities, indicating lack of trust over the team members, feeling of being insecure or an habit, that does not change even after one grows up the ladder in the organization. It's exactly opposite while working as a Fractional CFO (Consulting), would any prospect or a client hire a Fractional and pay for such a operational task...?

The finance team at a large-cap biotech company had been trying for years to consolidate reporting across NetSuite, Workato, HR systems, and Excel. ERP only reflects how leaders already decide, approve, and enforce standards. Weak discipline in → amplified chaos out. 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵 #𝟮: “𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲.” Most customization isn’t strategy. It’s comfort dressed as innovation. And it locks old habits into expensive code.
