Employees from four of our U.S. sites recently represented us at the Applied Ergonomics Conference (Applied Ergonomics Society) in Arlington, Texas. Our employees presented projects focused on reducing ergonomic risk and strengthening workplace safety, reinforcing our commitment to protecting the health and well-being of our people. In addition to winning our internal Ergo Cup competition, our Greensboro, N.C., team received the 2026 Ergo Cup Excellence Award for Business Impact/ROI at the conference. Their container tugger modification project reduces pushing and pulling strain, lowers the risk of musculoskeletal injuries and delivers meaningful operational efficiencies. Our PPG Asian Paints team recently completed a Colorful Communities® project at MJ Library in Ahmedabad, India, with enthusiastic participation from employee volunteers and partners. The project brought together 55 employee volunteers from our Moraiya plant, Automotive Refinish sales and training teams, and Automotive and Industrial coatings teams, along with volunteers from MJ Library. The event began with a warm welcome and an inauguration ceremony attended by local officials, MJ Library board members and senior leaders from PPG Asian Paints, including PPG Asian Paints CEO Jitendra Kalra. “It’s always deeply fulfilling to be part of the Colorful Communities® initiative, where we use the power of color to transform the spaces in the communities where we live and work,” Kalra said. “Restoring a heritage landmark like the iconic MJ Library reflects how purpose, teamwork and care for our communities come together at PPG Asian Paints to create meaningful and lasting impact. This initiative truly brings our values to life through the collective efforts of our employees.” Volunteers worked in teams to paint the interiors and exteriors of the library, creating a brighter, more welcoming environment while respecting its historic character. When the Penguins needed custom matte black helmets for this season, our Automotive Refinish Coatings team in Westlake, Ohio, stepped up to the challenge. As the naming rights sponsor of the professional hockey team, we are happy to extend our paint and coatings expertise to the game of hockey. Using PPG Deltron® Acrylic Urethane Sealer, Deltron NXT™ Basecoat and Deltron NXT™ Premium Matte Clearcoat, we delivered helmet coatings that both protect and beautify the team on ice at PPG Paints Arena. "PPG-coated helmets stand up to the test of high intensity Penguins hockey," said Jon Taglianetti, head equipment manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
