There is something about asking for a specific thing covering a specific date that caused people to lose their minds. It should be so simple, and yet it usually takes three tries to get what we actually ask for 😂 We cannot do your accounts without a bank statement covering year end, but actually getting it? As hard as teaching Joey French. It’s amazing how “I need a business bank statement covering 31st August 2025” frequently gets responsed to with a water bill, a personal credit card statement from 6 years ago or a business bank statement covering 1st January 2025. What’s the version of this in your industry?

If you'd told me in 2024 what the next couple of years would look like, I wouldn't have believed you... Hockey stick growth, leading shakeout runs through Central Park, an acquisition by Strava, and stepping into the Head of Product role last year. I've grown more than I thought possible, learned a huge amount, and got to work with some genuinely brilliant people on some incredibly interesting challenges. What more can you ask for, eh? Huge thank you to the whole Runna product team, and especially to Dom, Ben and Josh for trusting me to play a little part in the Runna rocket ship 🚀 But first, I'm taking the next few weeks off for some hiking in Scotland (in the rain obviously). Excited to share what's coming next when I return...!

My nephew Riley was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma 18 months ago, we've recently learnt there is no longer a cure, something no family ever expects to hear. We’ve set up a Givealittle page to help him, Candice Donovan, Aubrey Donovan, Corbyn and the rest of the Spiro and Donovan families create as many amazing memories with him as possible, while also exploring any treatment options available. But there's real thinking behind our Thirdfort wine tasting at Squerryes next month, where we're bringing a group of senior compliance leaders together with our founders. Compliance leaders spend their days working through every detail, every risk, every what-if. So for one day, we've flipped it. Every detail has been thought about for them, rather than by them. There is a bit of an agenda here; we've got a few surprises along the way, including an exclusive first look for our guests at something that we have been working on in the marketing team 🎬 . We went for a venue visit last month, and it made me even more excited for the big day!
