One market operates under state-level legalization with an established canna culture; the other launched federally legal commercial canna just 3 years ago in a country with centuries of canna history but virtually no modern dispensary infrastructure before 2022. Through the High Road Beyond Borders Tour, connections between U.S. dispensary owners and their Thai counterparts revealed something valuable: the challenges of building reliable teams transcend borders, even when the regulatory frameworks couldn’t be more different. Linda Solana , co-owner of Cannavibes Dispensary in northern New Jersey, and Xavier Joyner, co-owner of @Releaf Cannabis Dispensary in southern New Jersey, operate in a market with established labor pools and rigid state compliance processes. Meanwhile, Meilani Takaki , vice president of sales and marketing at @izumo.green in Bangkok, and Gaurav Sehgal , co-founder of Siam Green , also in Bangkok, are building teams in a country where canna went from criminal to commercial almost overnight. Then it closed all of them. In June 2022, Thailand became the first Asian country to remove cannabis from its narcotics list. Shops, cafes, farms — they exploded almost overnight. Open recreational access. Real tourism buzz. It looked like the beginning of something. In June 2025, the government reclassified cannabis flower as a “controlled herb.” Medical-only framework reinstated. Prescriptions capped at 30-day supplies. Farms required to meet GACP certification standards. By early 2026: 7,000+ shops closed. Three years. That’s the entire arc. But here’s the twist: Demand didn’t disappear. The shops did. Thailand isn’t exiting cannabis — it’s repositioning toward medical exports. Germany’s medical market is surging. Europe’s market is reportedly heading toward $13 billion. Thailand has real cultivation infrastructure now. The business didn’t die. It changed hands — from retail operators to licensed exporters. The lesson for U.S. operators isn’t “avoid international markets.” It’s simpler than that: What you build on unstable regulatory ground can disappear overnight — no matter how strong demand is. 3 things to take from Thailand: 1. Regulatory risk is operational risk. If your entire business model depends on a policy that can be reversed by a single government decision, that’s not a business plan — it’s a bet. 2. Build for multiple scenarios. The operators in Thailand who survive are the ones who could pivot to medical, or who had export relationships they could activate. 3. Speed isn’t the same as durability. Thailand’s legal market grew fast. It also ended fast. Growth rate is not a proxy for structural stability. It immediately had me thinking about how powerful it would be to see a setup like this in the U.S. A place where adults can gather, make their own choices, and simply vibe together… just grown folks- being grown 👏🏾 The Izumo team welcomed me with plenty of laughs and genuine appreciation 🥰💚 Their roots go back to Japan. One member of the team made the move to Thailand to pursue canna, and the rest followed, trusting the vision and sharing the same passion for legalization. The banquet hall can utilise a 5 tier vertical system. I was supposed to start this 2 years ago but my my South African production was delayed by 18 months clashing with this project. Now due to family / delays here I will not be occupying this site. It has just been reduced from 1,200,000 to 900,000 Euros. The castle cost 6m for land and materials in a beautiful part of Spain 2 hours from Madrid. This makes a very cheap production site due to the size of the production area and the many bedrooms for staff or visitors. The wine vault is very secure for the safe storage and the site has good security that means only a second fence not dual required. This will sell fast now. A 10k deposit can hold this until you view or conduct a survey. Should the viewing or survey not be satisfactory then full refund of deposit. If you refer me to a person that buys this there is € 10,000 commission.

SAY currently serves hundreds of youth and their families annually in our counseling programs. We work in schools, at our Medi-Cal Clinic, with probation and other organizations to serve the mental health needs of our youth. Counseling stabilizes youth, allowing them to finish school, obtain employment and participate in their communities. SAY seeks to grow these counseling programs to reach those families who need it most.
With the above mentioned growth in youth homelessness, SAY has…SAY currently serves hundreds of youth and their families annually in our counseling programs. We work in schools, at our Medi-Cal Clinic, with probation and other organizations to serve the mental health needs of our youth. Counseling stabilizes youth, allowing them to finish school, obtain employment and participate in their communities. SAY seeks to grow these counseling programs to reach those families who need it most.
With the above mentioned growth in youth homelessness, SAY has identified a need for more shelter for young people, as well as a continuum of supportive services. SAY’s proven Street Outreach Program reaches out to these kids to prevent child abuse and exploitation by supporting youth in coming in off the streets and into safe and stable housing and employment. Mentor Me Petaluma was founded in 1999 at McNear Elementary School in Petaluma, CA. A group of concerned parents, teachers and community members noticed that some students were "falling through the cracks". During the same time period, the state of California drastically cut its funding for elementary school counselors, leaving a lack of support and guidance for many students whose life circumstances put them at risk.
After 18 months of research and fundraising our mentoring program was…Mentor Me Petaluma was founded in 1999 at McNear Elementary School in Petaluma, CA. A group of concerned parents, teachers and community members noticed that some students were "falling through the cracks". During the same time period, the state of California drastically cut its funding for elementary school counselors, leaving a lack of support and guidance for many students whose life circumstances put them at risk.
After 18 months of research and fundraising our mentoring program was launched in early 2001 with three mentorships the first year.
The program has continued to expand, meeting the needs of more and more Petaluma young people. As of August 2011 we operate Mentor Centers in 14 schools over 3 school districts, serving 250 students.
Mentor Me Petaluma works hand in hand with other local youth-serving organizations, the Petaluma Youth Network, local school districts, service organizations and businesses to provide a safety net for Petaluma youth. Community volunteer mentors are the backbone of Mentor Me Petaluma. We mentor children and youth ages 5-17.

Many alumni fondly remember their days at the Barbieri Boxing Club in Healdsburg which eventually became the first Club in the County. Every day, our county’s future leaders come to the Clubs seeking Hope & Opportunity from caring adults. What happens next is hard to describe on paper. Somewhere between hours of homework help, character building experiences, and positive relationships with other kids, lives are changed…

While each candidate conducts their own campaign, all candidates are united by one goal: to use their leadership skills to raise funds to help blood cancer patients live longer and more fulfilling lives.
More than 1 million people in the United States are living with, or are in remission from a blood cancer. Someone new is diagnosed with a blood cancer every four minutes. New cases of leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma will account for nine percent of the 1.5 million new cancer diagnoses in the United States this year.
We rely on the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations. Proceeds from the 2014 Man & Woman of the Year support our mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. -
