Masters of the Universe
The story may be a little basic (it is an origin story after all) but this is one hell of a summer blockbuster nonetheless. Great casting, visuals and epic music combine to make it an exhilarating watch. Great for both fans and newbies to the world of He-Man. Deserves to be seen by many more than it has been.
The Mandalorian and Grogu
Grogu and his Anzellan friends are great! The rest is meh. Pascal phones his performance in, even when unmasked. The story is not befitting of a big screen film. Not enough characters in the film and not enough characters from the series appear. The huts are not interesting enough to be the main villain. I would've loved to have seen how the rebuild of Mandalore is coming along. Even the great Sigourney Weaver is dull and wasted. Also, more Zeb please! (with the rest of his Rebels crew though).
Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair
It was great to see the characters again, and the story was good. Malcolm's daughter is great. But it needed at least twice as many episodes, as there wasn't enough Malcolm or enough of the whole family together. Malcolm spent barely any time with Hal or his brothers even in the finale which was disappointing. I would love at least an extra long Christmas special to follow up on this.
Under the Dome
An intriguing series, with some solid acting. But there were far too many questions left unanswered despite showrunners getting three seasons to tell the story.
The Road to El Dorado
A criminally underrated animated film. Dreamwork's best in my opinion. A fun story and great soundtrack by Sir Elton John.
Armageddon
I am more of Michael Bay fan than most, but I honestly don't see what anybody sees in this trainwreck of film. The acting, the editing, the bland story, it's all predictable and all a huge mess.
Clash of the Titans
A darker depiction of Greek myth. Maybe not an amazing story, but it has solid action and performances. An epic score is the real gem here though. Entertaining watch.
Marvel Zombies
It's an ok follow-up to the What If? episode but the animation change is jarring and unnecessary. The choice to focus on Ms. Marvel & then Shang-Chi is a good one and Blade Knight is epic. Jimmy Woo is the scene-stealer as usual. The ending is confusing and too reminiscent of Iron hearts ending - It points to a second season, which I'm not sure it deserves.
