Really? Confused? See Eggman during every single boss battle of his in every Sonic games. When he falls into the core of the earth in Sonic Unleashed, when he got trapped in the space in Sonic and Knuckles, when he fell into the earth so hard that left him with amnesia, you really forgot one thing, Eggman rejects death and he just enjoy the fight with Sonic. But with Paramount, it depends with contract payment and the mood swings of Jim Carrey.

Dude really needs to play the game and read the comics to understand that Eggman can survive by his sheer will alone. Also, should any of those two (Sonic and Eggman) dies first, the other will be depressed of boredom.
