Synopsis
Halo is a science fiction television series set in the 26th century during a war between humanity and the Covenant, an alliance of alien species. The story follows Master Chief, a genetically enhanced supersoldier of the Spartan program, as he confronts military threats, political tensions, and mysterious alien artifacts that could alter the course of the conflict.

I don’t understand why they cancelled this show! It was awesome and literally all of my friends who are into sci-fi were obsessed with it including me!! There’s no way they can convince me it didn’t bring enough viewers!! Maybe they need to up their marketing budget to let more people know that the show is out there because I myself have put on at least 6 different people who had no idea it even existed!!! Get it together paramount!!!!

Possibly the best Sci- Fi show I've watched, absolutely full of action, with just enough storyline to give you information and continuity - without turning it into a Soap Opera.
I was very disappointed when I heard it had been cancelled after just two Seasons.
I really hope someone decides to continue this Series, there is even scope for real time Spin-Offs & Origin Stories too, as lots of the Characters have real depth to them.
I originally watched this on Paramount+, but as it was so brilliantly made, I'll be watching the entire two Series again on Netflix.

This was a great show and needs a third season immediately. Paramount+ has made terrible programming decisions such as cancelling Halo and not going forward with Star Trek: Legacy.

I have followed the story through the games closely for years and have been a fan, and eventhough in the show master chief takes his helmet off, i understand the humanization of the character, i wish they woukd make more series, there us so much material for countless series.

Hopefully, with the Science Fiction genre experiencing a new resurgence in mainstream popularity.
The same courtesy that was shown to the excellent Sci-Fi series ‘The Expanse’, originally cancelled by Netflix and then picked up by Amazon Prime, can now be shown to the highly enjoyable, mysterious, action packed and prestigious Halo TV series. Halo is currently proving it was indeed a mistake by Paramount+ to cancel the show in 2024 as it is currently the 7th most watched programme on Netflix!

This series is... Frustrating. I watched it go from a canon-adjacent project to an adaptation over a lengthy period of development hell, and it shows. It tries to cram decades of lore into a single package while trying to be faithful to its source material, but also wanting to surprise its viewers. Characters from separate eras are brought into a single setting, and it is a blur. The cast is giving it their all, and the material for certain characters can be a cut above their game continuity counterparts, as with Ackerson, while it provides some interesting new angles on canon lore. The action can be stellar too. But ultimately, everything just feels rushed, certain mysteries and arc should have been drawn out longer to leave and impact, and the fates of several video gamer-originating characters wastes the potential for brilliant moments later down the line. With a season 3 currently unlikely, I am just left unfulfilled by the promise of what could have been.
