There are hundreds of collectibles in Borderlands 4, ranging from the infamous hidden Vault Symbols to new Evocarium sites. Collectibles are not a required part of game progression, but are a useful way to earn extra XP and Eridium along your journey.
Borderlands 4 is an action-packed looter shooter with loads of content, with 39 different Dead Bolt collectibles scattered across the new world of Kairos. Dead Bolts are act similar to the ECHO Log recordings you'll find throughout the game, with unique audio descriptions. They can be tracked under the "Any Last Words?" challenge, and you'll be able to see the specific Dead Bolts in your ECHO logs in the Inventory menu.

The Fadefields will be players first introduction to the game and are the main starting area. Once you are within range of a Dead Bolt, as with any collectible in Borderlands 4, you'll be able to see it on your map and track it to use the game's pathfinding.

All Terminus Range Dead Bolt Locations
Terminus Range is the mountainous area that players enter after traveling through The Fadefields, and tracking down the Dead Bolts in this area is slightly more challenging due to the terrain. Many Dead Bolts are found as you complete various side quests, with some on the path of the main mission as well.

Carcadia Burn
Carcadia Burn is a massive desert area and the third main region of Borderlands 4. There are numerous Dead Bolts found in this area, and some are in very obscure locations. For example, the Open Dialogue Dead Bolt requires jumping off a geyser to access an area in the cliffside.

Dominion
Dominion is the final main area of Borderlands 4 and is locked behind the main story, so you'll have to progress through each area's main mission before entering the city proper. Dominion is a sprawling city, and to find all the Dead Bolts, you'll need to think vertically. Certain Dead Bolts in Dominion will be locked behind side mission progression.

All Dead Bolt Rewards In Borderlands 4
Collecting All Dead Bolts Will Reward XP, Cash, & More
Gathering all the Dead Bolt collectibles will unlock the "Any Last Words?" Challenge and give players various rewards. These include XP, a sum of cash, a chunk of Eridium, as well as a unique character skin. Further, as you grab each Dead Bolt, you'll be awarded SDU upgrades and XP.
Overall, Dead Bolts are a somewhat common yet sometimes challenging collectible to track down. Collecting all 39 Dead Bolts will get you one step closer to finding each of the hundreds of Borderlands 4 collectibles scattered throughout the game.
