Monster Hunter Wilds has all manner of materials to collect, but
Monster Fluid sounds like the most peculiar out of all of them. However, it's also one of the most useful as it can help upgrade many weapons and even help you craft armor. Here are the multiple ways to get Monster Fluid in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Monster Fluid Location
The best way to get Monster Fluid in Monster Hunter Wilds is to kill and farm Nerscylla Hatchlings in the Iceshard Cliffs. They're the small creepy crawly monsters that hatch from the larger boss creature. While at low rank, go explore Area 2 of the Iceshard Cliffs. There's a small camp nearby in Area 1.
There are a bunch of spiders that can be killed quickly in this spot. You may also find Rime Beetles. Once you've taken out these monsters, sheath your weapon with the square/X button and then press circle/B to start carving their carcass. The only material that you'll get from these Nerscylla Hatchlings in Low Rank is Monster Fluid, making them the best source for it.
A lot of them also spawn in Area 4 alongside the massive Nerscyylla. Be careful of inciting a fight with the big monster, however. They do spawn in large numbers, so the bounty will be quite high if you manage to take them all out.
You can create weapons like the Bone Kukri II with one Monster Fluid and two Sturdy Bones if you pay 800z. The sword and shield weapon has the Attack Boost and Stamina Thief Equipment Skills. It has a 182 Attack stat, however, and is only Rarity 2.
An Alternate Way of Getting Monster Fluid
Another way of getting Monster Fluid in Monster Hunter Wilds is to take a mission from Alma: Buggin' in the Scarlet Forest. One of the quest rewards is Monster Fluid. The optional quest is easy as you have to take down 8 Vespoids in the Scarlet Forest.
If you're tired of roaming around the Iceshard Cliffs for Monster Fluid farming, this is your best bet. These creatures also drop Monster Fluid, but they can also give you Vespoid Wing, Vespoid Shell, and Honey, while the Nerscylla Hatchlings only provide the desired resource. While exploring the Scarlet Forest, you can also find Dapperwings.
Nevertheless, the optional quest is simple to complete. You can have your mount guide you to each location with the up button on the D-Pad. For completing the quest, you can get 1440z and five Guild Points. The Palico Level will also go up.
