[edit | edit source]The label is managed by former street hustler Dre'Quan Priest, linked to Leonida's rap scene. Jack of Hearts strip club owner Boobie Ike is currently investing in the label.
Influence
[edit | edit source]Based on its logo and roster, Only Raw Records seems to draw inspiration from Maybach Music Group, a hip-hop record label based in Miami, Florida, notable for signing artists such as Rick Ross, French Montana, Meek Mill, and Gunplay (whom the rapper DWNPLY also seems to be based on due to similarities in name). The name may also reference Slip-n-Slide Records, another Miami record label, as both names can be interpreted as sexual innuendos.
