Kyle is a tennis coach who uses his job to have sex with wealthy men's wives, like Amanda De Santa. Before becoming a tennis coach, Chavis was ranked 42nd in the 14-16 range in tennis.

At some point prior to 2013, he was in a relationship with Elisa Macallen; however, she broke up with him after surprising him at work – presumably discovering him engaging in sex with a client.^[2]

Plot

In 2013, as Franklin Clinton sneaks through the De Santa Residence to repossess a car from the garage, he sees Kyle and Amanda practicing tennis forms and flirting in the kitchen.

Later on, Kyle is caught by Amanda's husband, Michael De Santa, while presumably having sex with her. After Michael threatens him, Kyle jumps from the bedroom's balcony to escape and drives away in his car, while Michael and his friend Franklin follow. He eventually manages to lose them and drives to his neighbor's house, where Natalia Zverovna, the lover of Mexican gangster Martin Madrazo is living, to hide. He is spotted on the house's balcony by Michael, who parks below it, believing that the house belongs to Kyle. After exchanging words with each other, Michael orders Franklin to attach a winch in the back of the pickup truck they're driving to one of the stilts of the house. Michael drives forward and causes the deck to fall down, after which he drives away. Kyle, who safely fled, calls Michael to tell him that the deck he'd just destroyed wasn't his. Natalia takes the phone from Kyle and threatens Michael over the phone, saying that Martin Madrazo put out a hit on him.

Afterwards, Kyle will post on Michael's Lifeinvader apologizing and promising to comp the session. He will also post on Bleeter, complaining about jealous husbands and their mid-life crises. Sometime later, if Michael calls Amanda, she reveals that she had not heard from Kyle since the incident. She asks Michael if Kyle is dead, but Michael tells her that he did not kill him. If Michael calls Jimmy, he asks Michael if it was true that he pulled a house off of a hill and explains that he and Kyle were friends. Michael reveals, much to Jimmy's disgust, that Kyle and Amanda had been having sex, and warns Jimmy not to hang out with him anymore.

Description

Personality

Chavis is an extremely cowardly person, as he ran, rather than facing Michael directly after he was discovered having sex with Amanda. Additionally, he can be seen cowering in fear if he and Amanda discover Franklin during the mission Complications.

It is possible that Kyle is racist towards black people, as if spotting Franklin, Kyle will yell that there is a black person in the De Santa house.

As determined from his Lifeinvader page, he is obsessed with sex and is depressed about his decisions in life to become a tennis coach.

Trivia

Despite his short screen-time, Kyle is indirectly responsible for some of the major events of Grand Theft Auto V. Amanda's affair with him caused Michael to chase him down to Madrazo's property and destroy it, resulting in Madrazo forcing the retired thief to pay him $2,500,000. This caused Michael and Lester to set the Vangelico heist in motion, force Michael to come out of retirement and be contacted by the FIB. It also caused Trevor to find out he's still alive after playing dead for nine years, and eventually rob the Union Depository.
During Marriage Counseling, his vocabulary and accent hint at the possibility of him being Canadian.
Kyle is indirectly referenced in The Contract update for Grand Theft Auto Online, in which Franklin Clinton recounts the idea of someone's wife "sleeping with a tennis coach" as a possible motive for an assassination contract.
