Chief Rebel and Arc Games confirmed that Fellowship’s Steam Early Access launch will be slightly delayed to October 16, 2025, just one week later than its original October 9 release date.
Why the Delay?
Alongside the news, a new developer update video has been shared, offering more details on the decision, showcasing progress, and giving players a glimpse of what’s ahead.
This small shift gives the team the extra time they need to polish their debut title and ensure the first-ever MODA (Multiplayer Online Dungeon Adventure) delivers the strongest possible experience when players step in on day one.
The decision to move the launch back one week comes down to two clear reasons.First, Chief Rebel wants additional time to apply extra polish, tightening up balance, gameplay systems, and details so the Early Access release feels refined and engaging right from the start.
The second reason is timing.
Several high-profile game launches were scheduled in the same release window, and the team wanted Fellowship to have the spotlight it deserves. By shifting just a week later, Fellowship avoids direct competition and gives players and the developers themselves more breathing room to enjoy everything that’s coming out.
The update video highlights that the team is excited for those other releases as well, but their main focus is making sure Fellowship stands out when players dive in on October 16.
Open Beta Still On Track
Although Early Access has been moved back slightly, the Fellowship Open Beta is unchanged. It will run from September 18 to September 23, 2025, giving players one last chance to experience the game before the official Early Access launch.
During this test, players will have access to seven unique heroes (two Tanks, three DPS including the newly revealed Mara, and two Healers).
They’ll be able to take on Ranked and Quick Play dungeons, explore the new Urrak Markets dungeon, and try out expanded systems like crafting, talents, legendary gear, cosmetic customization, and matchmaking improvements.
The beta is more than just a preview. It’s a vital step for Chief Rebel to gather a final round of player feedback and stress-test the multiplayer systems before opening the doors to everyone in October.
Fellowship at a Glance
For those just discovering it, Fellowship is a multiplayer online dungeon adventure built around teamwork, cooperation, and strategy. Players team up in groups of four to tackle endlessly scaling dungeons filled with enemies, loot, and bosses that grow tougher with every run.
Some of its key features include:
- 4-player Co-op Multiplayer with diverse hero roles across Tanks, Healers, and DPS.
- Endless replayability with scaling challenges, seasonal updates, and dungeon modifiers.
- Dynamic boss encounters where mechanics evolve as difficulty increases.
- Reward-driven progression, giving players valuable loot and upgrades after each run.
What truly sets Fellowship apart is its accessibility. Instead of grinding through hours of prerequisites like in many MMOs, players can jump straight into dungeon runs from the very beginning. Whether you want a quick 15-minute session in Quick Play or a competitive Ranked challenge with curses and scaling, Fellowship offers both experiences without barriers.
Why the Wait Is Worth It
The October 16 Early Access release may come a week later than planned, but this short delay reflects Chief Rebel’s commitment to quality and to giving Fellowship the best launch possible. By taking a little more time and sidestepping other major releases, the team ensures players can enjoy a smoother, more polished dungeon-crawling adventure from day one.
With the Open Beta locked in for September 18–23, the wait won’t be long for players eager to jump in, share feedback, and prepare for the full journey.
Fellowship might be arriving just a bit later, but the promise of endlessly scaling dungeons, teamwork-focused gameplay, and a fresh twist on the genre makes it more than worth the wait.
