Base Shield is a Pictos in Clair Obscur Expedition 33. Pictos are equipped by Characters to acquire passive bonuses and learn a Lumina, Pictos with a Grey icon represent Pictos for which a Lumina can be learned, while a Blue icon and Golden border represents Pictos for which the Lumina has already been learned. Each character can have 3 Pictos equipped at a time, and there are no other requirements for equipping Pictos. However, characters cannot equip the same Pictos at the same time.
(This pictos is still currently bugged as of 1.2.3, very often not applying shield on turn start as described)

- By equipping a Pictos and winning 4 battles, a Lumina can be learned, and the party can equip it to activate the effect of the Lumina, minus the passive bonuses from the related Pictos. Each Lumina has a respective amount of required Lumina Points for it to be equipped by a character.
