Not every entrance comes with applause. This one did. Because we just found out we’re ranked #3 in Germany’s most valuable brands by Kantar — and that calls for cheering, high‑fives, and a very memorable walk‑in. Bronze on the list. 🥉 Gold‑energy from the people behind it. Proud of the teams, the work, and the trust that got us here!

1905: We built an electric car. While most people relied on horse-drawn carriages, we were already thinking differently. After pioneering electric railways and trams, we built the Electric Viktoria — a quiet, clean vehicle that could reach 30 km/h with an 80 km range and regenerative braking. A century later, we created a full-scale replica from the original sketches. Why look back? Because innovation isn't something we adopted recently. It's been our foundation for over 175 years — from early #ElectricMobility to today's digital and sustainability transformations. The technologies may evolve, but the mindset stays the same: create technology that transforms the everyday. What historical innovation inspires your work today?

Industrial AI won’t scale without connected data. 📊 Factories generate massive volumes — an automotive plant alone produces ~2,200 TB per month — but it’s trapped in silos. The challenge isn’t data availability. It’s making it usable. That’s where digital threads come in: continuous data flows across the product lifecycle. In our latest newsletter: • Why industrial data is fundamentally different • How companies protect IP while collaborating • Real examples from Siemens Healthineers, General Atomics, and Rolls-Royce • Our expanded partnership with Alibaba Group 🤝 Scaling #AI will require trust, standards, and collaboration. What do you think — is #data integration the biggest barrier?

Today's a historic day for our company: Veronika Bienert steps in as our first female CFO, taking the baton from Ralf Thomas. To mark the occasion, we asked her three questions about stepping into this role after more than 30 years at the company — from her perspective on #AI in finance to her immediate priorities and key lessons learned along the way. We’re excited to see you lead the next chapter, Veronika! 👏

🤖 Can robots learn and adapt like humans do? From rigid programming to intelligent adaptation – we're revolutionizing industrial robotics with physical AI. Our latest breakthrough? A force-feedback glove that lets experts train robots by transferring skills through haptic interaction, enabling them to manage situations they've never experienced before. Combined with vision-language-action models developed with partners like University of California, Berkeley , we're transforming robots from repetitive machines into adaptive partners. Through virtual training using #DigitalTwin technology, we scale, validate and optimize before real-world deployment – bringing AI from the digital realm into the physical reality of factories. #SiemensXcelerator #IndustrialAI

Industrial AI moves to the cloud. ☁️ In Beijing, 🇨🇳 we showed how our expanded partnership with Alibaba Group is helping turn industrial AI into an operating system for the real world. Together, we’re bringing advanced industrial AI and simulation to the cloud — combining our engineering and simulation software with Alibaba Cloud’s scalable infrastructure. This makes high‑performance simulation and AI‑assisted engineering more accessible, flexible, and ready to scale. 💪 Beyond the cloud, the partnership also reflects a broader shift: moving industrial AI from experimentation into real operations, where software, data, and intelligent hardware work together. 🤝 It’s a practical step toward making industrial AI usable — and scalable — in everyday engineering and manufacturing.

🚆 A landmark for #rail digitalization and sustainable #transport in the Nordics. In Finland, we have successfully demonstrated automated train operation (ATO) on a major intercity route equipped with the European Train Control System (ETCS) – the first-ever such operation in the Nordic region. The test took place on a 19 km route between Juurikorpi and Hamina, using a modernized train operated by @VR-Yhtymä Oyj. During the trials, our system showed it can reliably deliver: • Precise automated stops, achieving 30–80 cm accuracy from 100 km/h • Smooth acceleration • Controlled braking under real-world operating conditions The demonstration also highlighted the seamless interaction between ETCS Level 2 and onboard automation, ensuring stable, repeatable, and efficient train operations. The project is part of Finland’s Digirail initiative to modernize the country’s rail network. It sets a blueprint for how #DigitalTechnologies can improve capacity, punctuality, and energy efficiency – all while making the most of existing rail networks.
