Egypt's freight network is growing. The first 4 Vectron locomotives have arrived at the New Capital service point east of Cairo — a key milestone in expanding the country's rail infrastructure. The facility is one of three maintenance hubs along the #GreenLine between Cairo and Marsa Matrouh. It features 6 tracks, each 239 meters long, ensuring efficient servicing and full operational coverage. Together with service points in Borj Al Arab and Marsa Matrouh, the network connects the Red Sea to the Mediterranean — improving freight efficiency and strengthening national connectivity. Proud moment for our RI team in Latin America We have won our first ETCS project in Mexico - together with our partner SONDA. On the 340 km corridor from Mexico City to Querétaro to Irapuato, we are bringing state-of-the-art signaling to one of the country’s most important passenger routes. This is a strong step in Mexico’s rail modernization and another milestone in our growing Latin America footprint. With ETCS Level 1 and Siemens Mobility´s TPS.plan-software debuting in the region, we are helping to create better, more efficient, and more sustainable mobility for millions of passengers. To achieve maximum availability, three things are essential: ✅ proximity to customers ✅ coordinated processes ✅ profound rail services expertise With the continuous expansion of our European depot and service network, we are strengthening its footprint across key transport corridors. An important part of that network is the Rail Service Center in Novara, at a strategic location in the Rhine-Alpine corridor.

The future of freight rail just got more sustainable. 🌱 Our new battery-based Vectron Dual Mode locomotive is designed for #sustainable freight operations on partially electrified routes across Europe. This evolution of our proven Vectron Dual Mode platform combines electric and battery power, enabling trains to operate where overhead lines aren't available. A practical step toward reducing emissions in #logistics and meeting the growing demand for sustainable transport solutions. Together with our strategic partner Akiem, we’ve secured a framework agreement for 80 Vectron Dual Mode locomotives, featuring a firm order for 50 – including the new Vectron Dual Mode Electric/Battery locomotives – along with an option for 30 more units. Deliveries are planned for 2029/2030. This partnership reflects the trust Akiem places in our technology and our shared commitment to #sustainable rail. #TransformMobilityForEveryone
