Awards, promotions, media mentions, major milestones. These moments happen everywhere, and manual monitoring made it difficult to catch them consistently. Today, Livesnap automatically detects relevant alumni mentions and alerts the team when something important happens. What used to be scattered across sources is now surfaced in one place, giving the team more time to focus on relationships with their alumni community. Link to the case study in the comments.

Deux jours riches en belles rencontres, avec des personnes curieuses et intéressées par le Québec. Plusieurs activités étaient au programme : hockey, jeu-questionnaire, dessins, et même des bagels de Montréal préparés par une Japonaise qui a appris la recette à Montréal (excellents, en passant). Un sincère merci à Laurie Peters, ministre et chef de mission adjointe à l’Ambassade du Canada au Japon, pour sa présence. Two great days in Hiroshima. Attending Canada–Hiroshima Association event and Montréal Day, representing the City of Montréal. Wonderful exchanges with people curious about Québec, and fun activities (hockey, quizzes, drawings, and Montréal-style bagels made locally). Ce week-end, le fameux duo québécois Angine de Poitrine s'est produit au Fuji Rock Festival, le plus grand festival de musique en plein air du Japon, à Naeba (Niigata) (+ de 125 000 personnes sur 4 jours), aux côtés des grands noms du rock international (Mogwai, Massive Attack, Mitski, etc.). Notre attachée aux affaires culturelles, Yuki Kuyama, y était, et les Japonais ont beaucoup apprécié et, comme vous le verrez sur les photos, plusieurs s'étaient mis aux couleurs du groupe pour l'occasion! Un bel exemple de la vitalité de la scène musicale québécoise à l'international, et une vitrine exceptionnelle pour le Québec et... oui oui, je suis un peu biaisé... également pour mon Saguenay natal. Bravo à nos deux talentueux ambassadeurs. Elle parle de nos valeurs. Ne pas attendre le changement. Le provoquer. Bâtir. Créer. Et ça se traduit jusque dans nos événements. C'était inscrit à l'entrée du Marky, Sab & Dan's House Party au Summerfest. Une maison pleine à craquer recréée à l'image des partys universitaires : babyfoot, poker, allée de quilles, ping pong, piñata, des règles loufoques à respecter, Nintendo room (avec un vrai Nintendo 64), faux-spa, musique dans le tapis, beerpong, bar à punch, etc. Chez Mirego, on ne cherche jamais le party. Here is where I see the real opportunities for construction players right now: 🏗️ 1. Productization & Value Engineering Developers are actively looking to de-risk projects. This means shorter construction timelines, lighter structural loads, and more predictable installation. The Opportunity: Systems that reduce weight, speed up the enclosure, or simplify interior fit-outs will gain market share. The Goal: Improved pro formas through efficiency, not just cost-cutting. 🔄 2. Retrofit & Repositioning With some assets overbuilt or misaligned with today’s demand, the focus is shifting to repositioning existing stock—whether that’s office-to-residential, condo-to-rental, or upgrading older stock for modern performance. The Opportunity: Flexible surface systems, lighter assemblies, and solutions that minimize downtime in occupied buildings. 🏡 3. Low-Rise & Small Infill Mega-towers are facing headwinds, but builders focusing on "gentle density"—laneway suites, garden suites, and small infill projects—are seeing better risk-adjusted opportunities. The Opportunity: These projects need partners who understand constrained urban sites, complex logistics, and design-led value. 🔮 My POV: Toronto’s Next Construction Cycle As a founder-CEO operating in the Toronto ecosystem, I read 2026 as a year where discipline, design intelligence, and system-level thinking will matter more than raw volume. Projects will no longer be judged solely on square footage, but on how intelligently they use structure, materials, and space to respond to a cost-conscious—but still design-sensitive—buyer. The Bottom Line: Partnerships between developers, architects, engineers, and solution providers will determine who gets projects financed and built in this tight environment. The companies that use this period to modernize their specs—adopting lighter systems and higher-performing envelopes—will be the ones best positioned when the next upcycle takes hold. If you’re building in the GTA, now is the moment to stress-test your assumptions.
