2026 hiring signal we keep hearing from top crypto investors + operators: "Institutionalization is driving the next wave of hiring." In this 2:55 clip from our recent AMA with Introduction.com x Metrics Recruitment, our co-founder, Landon Hood breaks down: - Why demand is shifting back toward TradFi / fintech operators (banks, asset managers, payments) - How teams are balancing crypto-native DNA with institutional credibility - What this means for leadership hires as companies scale from seed → late-stage / pre-IPO If you’re building infra, serving institutions, or moving toward regulated markets, this shift is already showing up in org charts. Curious what you’re seeing: are you hiring CFO / Legal / Compliance earlier than before?

Worth a listen from our partners at BluWave. A practical reset most PE-backed teams should pay attention to. An idea that bears repeating: don't do more AI, do the right AI. Unintentional AI for the sake of AI does the opposite of force multiplication - it's force dilution. Don't make the common mistake of confusing AI with automation.

A new BluWave's Karma School of Business Podcast episode is live TODAY. A special solo hour with Sean Mooney on what we’re seeing in our Private Equity Insights Report data, and what it means for private equity in 2026. The point isn’t “do more AI.” ➡️ It’s do the right AI. ⭐ As Sean puts it: “You need to reevaluate every function in your organization through this force multiplying lens of AI.” The biggest AI takeaway for operators and PE-backed teams: start with real workflows, pick a few high-impact use cases, and execute. If you’re heading into 2026 without a plan for AI, this episode is a practical reset on where to focus. You can get the full episode linked in our comments below! ⤵️

The $50.6B headline is real… but the story is consolidation. Everyone’s quoting: $50B raised in 2025. The nuance: it wasn’t a pure VC boom - it was consolidation. • $50.6B across 1,409 rounds (1,005 disclosed) • M&A = $22.1B (43.7% of capital) across just 21 deals • VC/Private = $23.3B across 829 deals (the real “venture market”) The must-have roles we’re seeing are execution-heavy engineering (CTO/Backend/DevOps/Founding Eng), developer ecosystem (DevRel/Ecosystem Growth), operator layer (Chief of Staff/Customer Ops), and GTM leadership (Growth/Marketing/PR/Affiliates), all with legal/compliance coverage as the market matures. At Metrics Recruitment, we’ve supported this motion across our Partner ecosystems. Source: 2025 Crypto Fundraising Report (link in comments).

Under the radar during a bear market: November 2025 marked the largest month in crypto fundraising history. https://lnkd.in/g9ehR2KH This might just be the best time to invest. The adoption is here, and it's real. Market structure and liquidity are coming. Real utility is crystallizing in digital data governance within LLMs, particularly in enterprise finance and healthcare. And asset managers' handcuffs are coming off as the floodgates of institutional adoption open.

  • Heading towards year end, here’s a great resource to reference for those hiring in crypto from our partners at Pantera Capital.

There is still no reliable source for crypto compensation data. So we built one. Our 2024 Compensation Survey is fashionably late—but packed with insight. We hope this helps all teams within blockchain scale through 2025 and beyond. Check it out below! Here are the key highlights: - Last year we saw 3% of people paid in crypto. This year we've seen a 3x jump to 9.6%. - Stablecoins USDC & USDT are leading the charge with the majority of folks who take their salary in crypto receiving USDC - Is crypto going back to the office? Probably not, but in office work is up 4x (to 6%). - Looking at the median numbers, having an MBA does not equate to higher salaries in Web3. In fact, there's a slight decline in compensation. - By looking at median salaries, women make more in Marketing, Operations, BD, but not in Engineering and Executive positions. - Engineering Salaries across the board in seniority are on the rise! Most notably Jr & Mid-level roles have seen a large increase: 25.6% increase for Jr Engineers, 14.49% for Mid, 4.9% for Sr. https://lnkd.in/dxTS_QWm
