A Final Fantasy 14 player created an incredible house inspired by a specific area from Capcom's Pragmata and shared their handiwork on social media for all to see. The Final Fantasy 14 home builder said they created the new housing build after playing through Pragmata, adding that they took advantage of one major housing change introduced in a recent FF14 content patch.

Since its introduction during A Realm Reborn, player housing in Final Fantasy 14 has long been a competitive and lucrative way for players to express themselves. During the Endwalker expansion, following the opening of Ishgard's Empyreum housing district, Final Fantasy 14 changed its home acquisition method from a first-come, first-served basis to a lottery system on fixed timers. Ergo, Final Fantasy 14 players looking to buy a house for themselves or their free company should save up some Gil and pay attention to which housing plots are available on their home server at any point.

New Final Fantasy 14 Update Fixes Several Issues

Square Enix releases a new Final Fantasy 14 update to address some bugs and glitches that cropped up shortly after Patch 7.5 went live.

Final Fantasy 14 Player Faithfully Recreates Pragmata's Shelter

After playing through Pragmata, which is considered one of 2026's top new games so far, a Final Fantasy 14 player remade Pragmata's main Shelter as a house within Square Enix's MMORPG. A Final Fantasy 14 player named Miya Shikhu shared their handiwork on Twitter via some screenshots they took. The housing build used several pieces of Everkeep furniture, which were introduced during the Dawntrail expansion, along with phasmoscapes, flower pots, and miniature models taken from the game's previous expansions.

Additionally, two Final Fantasy 14 player characters changed their glamours to look like Hugh and Diana, with Diana being depicted as a lalafell. A gate with green scan lines was also made using meticulous placement of some materials. Miya Shikhu said that the increased furnishing placement limit, which was added as part of Final Fantasy 14's Patch 7.5 content update, was a key reason they were able to replicate Pragmata's Shelter. For example, a large house in Final Fantasy 14 can now place up to 600 pieces of indoor furniture as of Patch 7.5, up from the previous cap of 400.

Final Fantasy 14's Housing System Still Has Changes Planned

However, Final Fantasy 14 still has one major housing update confirmed for the future. According to Square Enix, the planned housing feature would allow players to change the interior size of a home while keeping the outdoor portion intact. This means that a small or medium-sized home can have a large interior. This planned housing change was coined the "TARDIS housing update" by FF14 players, as it was quickly compared to the fabled time machine from Doctor Who. Although Final Fantasy 14 still has other features planned to launch in 2026, including the Beastmaster Limited Job and the final Cosmic Exploration update, there is no concrete timetable for when the housing interior size changes will happen.

Miya Shikhu said that the Pragmata house is available to visitors, and it is located in the Goblet housing district on the Garuda server. Garuda is part of the Elemental Data Center, which is located in Japan. Ergo, Final Fantasy 14 players must have a character on the Elemental, Mana, Gaia, or Meteor Data Centers to see the Pragmata house for themselves in-game. With Final Fantasy 14 slated to make more changes in the Evercold expansion, time will tell what changes the housing system will receive.
