Takashi Miike’s AGITATOR is one of his finest yakuza works. It starts so poetic, but descends into inevitable chaos! It takes the lead from Kinji Fukasaku, plays with themes from Takeshi Kitano, but always feels intrinsically Miike. It is complex and violent but so entertaining!
