Here’s a little speculation: Remember the “Super Game” that Sega was hyping up a while back? They’ve said it’s set to release by March 2026 so we’ll totally see a reveal this year and it’ll use this new Sega Account
I think I know what it is too, although I’m not sure fans will receive it positively, at least initially. What little we know about it is that it’s a multiplayer focused game, uses legacy IP, it uses User Generated Content in some way, and that it goes “beyond” what a normal game is. To me that sounds like they’re making a Game Platform similar to Fortnite with various Sega games being the different game modes (Battle Royale, Festival, Rocket Racing, Ballistic, etc). Would somewhat explain why they dropped out of some planned Fortnite collabs (Persona 3, Yakuza)
Remember how Sega announced several games at once during TGA 2023? They all look somewhat similar, no? These are the game modes. A Splatoon turf war style Jet Set Radio, A multiplayer Crazy Taxi, and co-op PvE Streets of Rage/Golden Axe, with more to be introduced later. The UGC aspect comes in with unofficial maps for certain game modes like how Fortnite has Box Wars which uses the Battle Royale gameplay
(Note: they’ve used “Super Game” as a term to describe any high-budget game in the past, but recently they’ve been using the term in reference to one single title)
