Grounded 2 is a cooperative survival game where shrunken teens explore, craft, and build in an oversized outdoor world — this time set in a sprawling public park instead of a backyard. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, it expands on the original with richer visuals, rideable insect “Buggies,” and a stronger anti-corporate satire woven into its story.

Our take
The sequel follows the formula of Grounded, tasking you with turning a defenseless, shrunken kid into a backyard warrior through a familiar crafting hook. But though it gains some playful new features that supersize the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids fantasy of it all, its lack of surprises in its early form makes for a double dip that will need to work to rebuild the series’ multiplayer magic if it’s going to become a lasting playdate.
