What does real-time vision AI look like in manufacturing? At Microsoft Ignite, Apoorv Iyer, EVP and Global Head of Generative AI at HCLTech, shared how his teams are using Microsoft Foundry on Windows to bring VisionX to the Microsoft stack, powering shop floor defect detection directly at the edge. The impact is clear: • Real-time shop floor defect detection in manufacturing • VisionX running locally on the Microsoft stack • Up to 50–70% lower latency compared to cloud AI • Stronger ROI by moving AI from the cloud to the edge His perspective on scaling AI: start with high-impact use cases where real-time performance matters, and design solutions that deliver measurable value. New to Microsoft Foundry on Windows? Colin Whitlatch, CTO of Kahua, has a few helpful tips: 🔹 Start small and build quick prototypes to learn fast. 🔹 If the tool gives you an unexpected result, ask the model why. That simple step can dramatically speed up how quickly you unlock value. We were thrilled to share the stage with Colin at Microsoft Ignite last November. Want to see how he’s using Microsoft Foundry on Windows to support his teams? • Fortnite running strong on Windows on Arm via Prism emulation is a standout proof point: the Arm ecosystem has real momentum behind it. 🎮 If a high‑action, high‑demand title can deliver a smooth experience, developers—especially student builders—have every reason to ship their next project on Arm. Build on Arm and join the growing ecosystem. To get support and start enabling your app, connect through App Assure: https://msft.it/6047QYdsL

The Codex app is now on Windows. Built for Windows environments, with built-in sandboxing for building with agents: • Work with multiple agents in parallel • Manage long-running tasks • Review diffs in one place • Stay in PowerShell, or easily switch to WSL if needed To bring Codex to Windows, we built the first Windows-native agent sandbox, using OS-level controls like restricted tokens, filesystem ACLs, and dedicated sandbox users to safely run agents on Windows machines. Codex is available through ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu subscriptions. Download the Codex app for Windows: https://lnkd.in/guyKdhDY
