Nobili Marques Arquitectura is an architecture firm in San Francisco rooted in the design principles of contemporary California and European design. We have several new, compelling projects underway, and we are looking for candidates who are seeking to further develop their skill sets and gain rich experience working with a small team through all stages of the design and delivery process.
This is a full-time position. Our ideal candidate will be based in the Bay Area and will spend two days a week in the office, however, we are open to exploring other possibilities for the right applicant.
The candidate should have a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in an architectural firm, and at least 4 years of custom residential experience.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
Working with a Principal and team members on several projects (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp modeling, hand drawing)
Developing the production of schematic, building permit and construction drawing sets.
Managing the day-to-day Project correspondence, and coordination with consultants
Develop and manage the schedule, and budget in collaboration with a Principal.
Code research (planning and building) as required.
Attend OAC and site meetings with a Principal, as required, and maintain design meeting minutes.
Research and specify materials and systems
Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in architecture.
6-8 years of experience in an architecture firm and proven experience in custom residential projects.
Good written and spoken communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to consultants and contractors.
Self-motivated – able to work collaboratively with a team, and with the principal, and to work independently to meet project deadlines and milestones.
Experience coordinating work with consultants & contractors, including references who will speak to this ability.
Proactive thinking and problem solving.
Willingness to learn and take direction.
Working understanding of contracts.
Some construction phase experience on job sites preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of California Building Code, specifically type VB construction, and ability to develop construction details independently.
Understanding or experience with planning requirements.
