We’re hiring an editor for HOLLER, an independent feature film currently a little over halfway through principal photography. Editing can begin immediately while we continue shooting.
This is a paid microbudget position. We want to be upfront that the rate is modest compared with larger-budget feature work. This could be a good opportunity for an emerging narrative editor or an experienced assistant editor who is ready to take on a feature as the lead editor.
The editor will work directly with the directors throughout the edit. We’re looking for someone with strong instincts for performance, pacing, structure, and tone who can take notes, communicate ideas, and help shape the film as it comes together.
DaVinci Resolve is preferred.
We need someone who can work efficiently without sacrificing quality and who keeps a clean, organized project throughout a feature-length edit. You should be comfortable with syncing, media management, project organization, exports, and preparing turnovers for the rest of post.
Our post-sound and color departments are already in place, so you’ll also be working with those teams as the film moves through finishing.
We’re not looking for someone to simply assemble footage. We want an editor who wants to be involved creatively and collaborate with us throughout the cut.
Applicants should include a résumé or list of credits, examples of narrative editing work or a reel, information about their DaVinci Resolve experience, and a short introduction.
Apply through LinkedIn. If you need to send additional materials, reel links, or larger files, you can also email subterraneansoundandvision@yahoo.com.
