Collections Specialist

We are seeking a results-driven B2B Collections Specialist to join our team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables, and maintaining strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a portfolio of business-to-business accounts, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding balances
• Proactively contact customers via phone and email to resolve past-due invoices and secure payment commitments
• Analyze aging reports and prioritize collection efforts to reduce delinquency and improve cash flow
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and short payments in collaboration with internal departments
• Document all collection activities accurately within the system
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements in alignment with company policies
• Partner with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve account issues efficiently
• Prepare regular reports on collection status, aging trends, and risk accounts

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in B2B collections, accounts receivable, or commercial credit
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
