Capra Biosciences is seeking an analytical chemist to accelerate our analytical support for current R&D and manufacturing efforts. This person will perform critical analytical activities, develop analytical methods for new products, and support QA/QC for commercial products. An ideal candidate will have expertise with HPLC operations, method development to identify unknown compounds, and troubleshooting. Experience working in cGMP or regulated environment, and with QA/QC protocols is required. The candidate should be comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform analytical experiments and data analysis to support research projects and manufacturing
  • Design, optimize, and validate analytical HPLC methods for current and new products
  • Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, and results
  • Help plan weekly analytical operations
  • Maintain analytical SOPs for all methods and support QA/QC documentation efforts
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment, especially HPLCs
  • Support QA/QC validation of commercial products lots


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with at least 6 years of experience or Master’s degree with at least 4 years of experience
  • Experience with HPLC method development, optimization, and validation
  • Extensive HPLC hardware and software experience
  • Experience working in a regulated environment under cGMP or similar guidelines is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information in a clear and effective manner
  • Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Development of QA/QC documentation and protocols
  • Preparation of analytical documentation for regulatory filings
  • Product sampling and shelf-life testing preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contractual requirements
