Being a part of a rocket ship from Series B to Series E ($200 million ARR), through two kids during a pandemic, and nearly 800 Cladiators later—I am so proud of everything we’ve achieved together. We hired brilliant people, shaped a culture worth being proud of, and watched an idea grow into something real. This message was shared with 1,600 other Atlassian employees, many of whom have expressed their thoughts here. My first reflection was on whether I documented all the ADRs and plans to ensure the team's success. I can confidently say I did. My second thought was about the almost eight years I lived at Atlassian—time certainly flew by. I feel fortunate to have worked on numerous impactful projects, such as reimagining the permissions workflow, enhancing app performance, true realtime notifications on edits/comments in Confluence, improving developer experience, migrating the entire CI/CD for Confluence to a new platform, supporting the Ecosystem, and engaging with Atlassian Marketplace vendors. I am grateful for the knowledge shared by my colleagues, which has contributed to my growth. The concept of TEAM goes beyond just a ticker on a stock exchange. As I look for new opportunities, I am excited about the potential for new accomplishments ahead.

Working in defense and deep tech, it’s easy to focus on the mission, the technology, and the pace of the work. Victoria P. reacted on thisVictoria P. reacted on thisFinding weekend activities that actually hold your kid's attention for more than 20 minutes feels like a full-time job. This Saturday, I opened Claude Code with my 5-year-old and said, "Want to build a video game?" Ten minutes later we had a St. Patrick's Day game with a leprechaun running across the screen. His immediate feedback: "He's going too fast!" So we fixed it. Then: "I want a pot of gold at the end!" So we added it. We went back and forth four or five times, each round driven by whatever he wanted next. He wasn't coding. He was product managing. And he did what many overcomplicate: 1. He said what he wanted in plain language. "Make the leprechaun slower." No specs. The barrier to building isn't technical skill anymore. It's being willing to describe what you actually want. 2. He treated every version as a prototype. Built something, tried it, didn't like something, changed it. He cared about playing a fun game, not how we got there. 3. He stayed engaged because it was his game. Not one I handed him. He played it for an hour afterward, not because it was polished, but because he made it. My 5-year-old reminded me what good product thinking looks like before we layer on all the complexity. If you've built something with AI alongside your kids, I want to hear about it. What mattered most to us was putting the team first in everything we did. And while Clockwise — the product and the company — evolved many times over its history, that belief never did. I can't express enough gratitude to the Clockwise team, past and present. From the first hires who are here on our last day — Danyaal and Andy — to the early crew now off doing amazing things — Alexandra, Charles, Amy, and Michael — to the outstanding leaders I had the opportunity to learn from — Tatiana, Francis, Rishi, Kevin, Vicky, Alexis, Kacy, and Brittany — and to the iincredible group we’re closing this chapter with — Allie, Andy, Claire, Danyaal, Dillon, Erin, Johnathan, Junjun, Kacy, Maverick, Nikita, Raphael, Samantha, Scott, Tatiana, and Timothy. That old Steve Jobs line is true: A-players attract other A-players. What a world where I’ve been paid to work alongside them. Clockwise was an incredible journey. In many ways, I grew up here: crafting a product from nothing to hundreds of thousands of users, raising tens of millions, hiring hundreds, becoming a dad, living through a pandemic, moving across the country... I'm a much different person than I was when I started this, and hopefully a better one. I owe everything to the people who worked tirelessly to build this thing. All the progress, the growth, the learning — none of it would have been possible without this group of amazing, talented, weird, funny, driven, empathetic humans. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
