Ravi Gurnani shared thisThis is exciting! AdTech may be one of rare domains that had leveraged predictive AI long ago and is now exploring supplementing it with Agentic AI at "run-time". Ravi Gurnani shared thisThis is a very novel and inspiring take on GenAI's impact on software engineering. Thx Adam Ferrari for sharing it. If the future is truly what we choose to make of it, this is the path to pursue. We should leverage the exponential growth of GenAI towards unprecedented growth of our products and services by "doing more" with engineers+AI. Let's expand the pie. It's easier said than done, but definitely worth a pursuit wherever possible.Ravi Gurnani shared thisIs the long term employment outlook in software engineering really as negative as some of the takes we’re seeing? Will future engineering organizations be mostly robots with a handful of human overseers? 🤖 I don’t think that’s actually the case. For the foreseeable future, we will need humans to be accountable for our software systems, including aspects like quality, design evolvability, stability, etc. This means we’ll need significant teams of real practicing software engineers, complemented by AI, not replaced by AI. But on the other hand, there’s the quantitative reality that the budget for AI to drive software development has to come from somewhere. Of course, the logical source is R&D budgets, the lion's share of which are directed to salary costs. So doesn’t adding a bunch of AI spend naturally imply that our human teams will have to shrink? Maybe. But let’s consider how R&D budgets work. In most software companies, R&D spend is based on a percentage of revenue. This ensures that the company is balancing innovation and competitiveness against profitability in a disciplined manner. In many SaaS companies, targeting an R&D spend around 20-30% of revenue is a reasonable benchmark. So if revenue were fixed, and spend on AI increased, that would imply smaller human teams. It’s simple math. But in reality the top line isn’t fixed, particularly in this AI era where new tools and technologies are letting us build more product, with more valuable capabilities, and even faster than before. This should drive the value of many software product portfolios higher, creating a positive impact on revenue. Instead of AI causing the share of the pie for software professionals to shrink, it has the strong potential to make the pie so much bigger that we could actually be looking at larger teams, and ones that are disproportionately more productive and innovative. And this isn’t just a company-level phenomenon. There’s a strong case to be made that this will be true across the industry. AI might grow the value of the software sector so much that, even with a chunk of that growth being directed to spend on AI compute, we could still see a net increase in software jobs. Of course, the technologies and practices around AI are moving so fast, it’s hard to be super confident about any predictions. But I tend to have an optimistic outlook for our profession. When entering college students ask me if they should study CS, I give them an optimistic “yes” (as long as they really love it). Our profession will transform, but I don’t see it going away or getting any less fun any time soon. I tend to see AI as an amplifier, not a replacement.

Ravi Gurnani shared thisI have known coach Brooks for a while. He has had tremendous role in enhancing my son’s debating skills. Requesting help to get him back to a cancer-free life 🙏Ravi Gurnani shared thisI have some heartbreaking news to share: My debate coach, Stephan Brooks has been diagnosed with leukemia. For nearly 20 years, Coach Brooks has been at the heart of the Fremont debate community, guiding thousands of students from elementary school all the way through high school. But to all of us who know him, he’s so much more than just a coach. He’s been like a big brother, a mentor, and a cheerleader all rolled into one—a steady source of support for so many of us. He teaches us responsibility and resilience, celebrates with us when we win, and reminds us it’s okay to stumble sometimes. Proudly handing out Brooks Debate merch, he also takes us to Warriors games, Dave & Buster’s, or a fun movie night. Coach Brooks didn’t just help us become stronger debaters—he helped shape us into better people and created a community that truly feels like family. Now, he needs us to rally around him. Coach Brooks is facing a tough journey with chemotherapy, recovery, and time away from work. We’re starting with a goal to raise $30,000 to help cover his basic living expenses during treatment, and we’ll adjust if more support is needed. Here’s how you can help: Donate whatever you can — every bit truly makes a difference. Share this message with anyone who knows Coach Brooks or has been touched by his work. Leave a message of encouragement so Coach Brooks feels the strength and support of this community. Let’s surround Coach Brooks with the same kindness, loyalty, and heart he’s shown us, year after year. Just a comment to expand network would go a long way, if not able to contribute. With gratitude, Dhairya Gurnani, On behalf of Brooks Debate students and alumni https://gofund.me/1ecf537e

Ravi Gurnani posted thisGoogl'e monopoly or market dominance? Imagine if ATP ruled Novak Djokovic as monopolistic for winning highest number of grand slams and going strong at 37 years of age! Google has achieved it's stature by building best-in-class products & scaling them through free-mium model. Competition has tried it's best but G-search, Chrome, G-mail, Youtube continue to be most popular in their categories and enjoy a legitimate popularity/dominance. Folks who value privacy have a freedom of choice to use alternative applications and get off Google train. Simple. IMO, the only legitimate way to beat google is to beat it at it's game - build better compelling products. Let an emerging, shiny start-up displace Google just as it replaced Yahoo once. That would be a fitting, respectful adieu. Legal means of labelling it monopolistic seems unsporting, disgraceful, motivated.

Ravi Gurnani reacted on thisThis might be the most interesting time to be unemployed. It’s not easy. There’s stress every day. Always thinking about what’s next, what to apply for, who to talk to. It feels like a full-time job on its own. But at the same time… something interesting is happening. For a long time, I was just busy with work tickets, deadlines, fixing issues, dealing with tech debt. I stayed busy, but I didn’t always have time to step back and think. Right now, things are changing fast. The way we build software is shifting. New tools are coming out all the time, and AI is actually becoming useful in real work. For me, this doesn’t feel like I’m being replaced. It feels like I’m becoming more useful. I spent many years building without AI, so I understand how things work deeply. Now when I use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot, it feels like working with a strong partner, not something that replaces me. It actually feels like building again. Trying ideas, experimenting, learning new tools, moving faster. Just being curious again. I haven’t felt this in a while. Of course, I’m still looking for the right role. That part is real. But I also see this time as a chance to reset a bit, improve my skills, and understand this new way of building before jumping into the next thing. It does come with tradeoffs. Sometimes it means spending less, being more careful, and walking more :) But in a way… that’s also part of the journey.

Ravi Gurnani reacted on thisExciting times ahead and we’re just getting started! Honored to be part of this journeyRavi Gurnani reacted on thisOver the past year, the questions we get from customers have changed. It used to be: “How do I make this workflow more reliable?” Now it’s: “How do I build an AI system that doesn’t fall apart in production?” The answer is the same, but the stakes are different. Today, we’re announcing a $300M Series D at a $5B valuation, led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Lightspeed, Sapphire Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Index Ventures, Tiger Global, GIC, Madrona, and Amplify. AI workloads have changed what production infrastructure needs to look like. Long-running agents, branching workflows, systems that must recover mid-execution instead of restarting from scratch. But this isn't just an AI story. Financial transactions, order fulfillment, compliance pipelines — any long-running process that has to work correctly over time hits the same wall. Durable Execution solves that at the foundation: state is preserved, failures are recoverable, and teams don’t have to rebuild fault tolerance for every integration. The demand reflects it. Our revenue grew more than 380% year over year, and weekly usage is up 350%. We’re seeing more than 20 million installs per month. Over 9 trillion actions have been executed reliably on Temporal Cloud since its launch. Companies like OpenAI, Yum! Brands, and Block are running Temporal in production for workloads that simply cannot afford to fail. This funding accelerates what’s already underway: deeper AI-native capabilities, platform expansion, better SDKs, and stronger partnerships across the ecosystem. And we’re just getting started. Payment acceptance testing shouldn’t be the bottleneck slowing down innovation and new product rollout. Yet across payment networks, issuers, acquirers, and fintechs, acceptance testing still relies on fragmented workflows — spreadsheets, email threads, and physical test cards. The result is predictable: • 2–5 weeks delays caused by physical test card logistics • Limited visibility into who is using test cards and when • Severe constraints from a limited pool of Test PANs • Test cards not being returned or tracked, restricting reuse across teams • Unauthorized or out-of-scope testing at merchants leading to cards being blocked • Compliance risk from incomplete audit trails • Engineering teams spending more time on administration than testing In many environments, testers can run transactions at merchants that are not authorized for a specific test case. When misuse occurs, the only option is often to block the card — further reducing an already limited pool of Test PANs. Because Test PAN inventories are limited and poorly tracked, teams frequently wait for cards that may already be sitting unused on someone’s desk. In many environments, 50–75% of the testing cycle is consumed by manual coordination rather than actual validation. This has been the reality for years. Not because better isn’t possible — but because no one built it. We did. In December, we announced that Ayris Global LLC is bringing three new products to market. Today, we’re introducing the first. Assure PAT (Payment Acceptance Testing) — built to eliminate these bottlenecks and modernize acceptance testing infrastructure. Assure PAT transforms acceptance testing into a secure, automated, end-to-end workflow designed specifically for modern payment ecosystems. Key capabilities include: ✔ Instant provisioning of virtual test cards in under 30 seconds ✔ Template-based virtual cards enabling 1000+ reuse cycles ✔ Full lifecycle management from request → provisioning → execution → audit ✔ Automatic card release back to inventory after testing ✔ Granular controls restricting where and how cards can be used ✔ Role-based access controls protecting sensitive payment data ✔ Real-time visibility into card usage, assignments, and transactions Instead of waiting days or weeks for physical cards, teams can execute testing immediately with full traceability and compliance. The impact is significant: • 70–80% faster testing cycles • Elimination of Test PAN scarcity bottlenecks • Complete audit trails and compliance visibility • Massive reduction in operational overhead Payment innovation is accelerating globally. The infrastructure supporting acceptance testing should keep pace. Most payment providers tell merchant acquirers the same thing: your infrastructure is legacy. Rip it out. Transform everything. Massive investment required. We think that's usually wrong. Acquirer infrastructure represents decades of investment in reliability, security, and compliance. Core systems process billions with stability fintech alternatives rarely match. What acquirers typically need isn't replacement. It's a capability layer above existing systems. Modern payment methods. Orchestration. Value-added services. Innovation at the edge whilst reliability remains at the core. This approach is less dramatic than "digital transformation." It's also less risky and faster to value. For acquirers being told they need infrastructure revolution: maybe. But worth asking whether enablement solves the actual problem first. What's been your experience? Replacement or enablement?

Consumers want instant everything. Nine in ten say they’d choose instant payouts over delayed ones — and banks are responding by doubling down on real-time rails like RTP and FedNow. But speed without trust is just faster risk. Multi-rail strategies only work if identity verification can keep pace: ⚡️ Can you know the business instantly? ⚡️ Can you trust the data beneath the transaction? ⚡️ Can you grow without adding friction for good customers? As payments get faster, the margin for error gets thinner. The institutions that win will be the ones that can verify trust at the same speed the rails now run. https://lnkd.in/ew-6EGsh

Africa Stablecoin Network • 5K followers
The announcement from Y Combinator in collaboration with Coinbase marks more than just another startup call. It signals that the infrastructure and market conditions have aligned to make onchain finance not just possible but inevitable. We are witnessing a trifecta of forces shifting power away from siloed legacy rails toward open programmable money. Regulation is becoming clearer, infrastructure is maturing, and demand is surging. Regulators in the United States are beginning to define rules for stablecoins in ways that echo banking frameworks. That clarity removes a major barrier for builders. On the infrastructure side, Layer 2 networks now support sub-second and sub-one-cent global transactions, enabling real money movement at scale. The market is already showing up. Stablecoin settlements are in the trillions annually, crypto user bases are in the hundreds of millions, and many native onchain applications now serve real users in real economies. The traditional financial system is rigid. Transfers can take days, cross-border wires are expensive, and foreign exchange costs erode value. Onchain rails change that narrative with instant settlement, near-zero friction, and composability built in. Imagine a world where contracts self-execute, money streams continuously, and financial instruments can be created by anyone with code. YC’s request emphasizes three broad domains of opportunity: stablecoins especially local and programmable versions, tokenized assets, and fully onchain applications and agents. That is not accidental. These are the areas where incumbent finance must evolve or risk becoming irrelevant. If you believe as I do that money is becoming software, then this is our moment to build the rails. The institutions of old have had their chance. Now is the time for a new generation of financial builders to define how capital moves, gets allocated, and creates value everywhere and for everyone. #Stablecoins #WAS2025 #AfricaStablecoinNetwork #Base #YC

💳 Automated card issuing = Major cost-cutting win for loan providers For most lenders, the biggest operational costs don’t come from issuing credit or loans. They come from the workflows wrapped around it. Every disbursement, card activation, transfer issue, or support ticket adds friction. And at scale, that friction gets expensive while adding zero revenue. That’s why more lenders are shifting to embedded, automated card issuing with @Wallester White-Label. Not as a “nice-to-have”, but as a core efficiency strategy that: • Reduces manual handling • Shrinks support load • Prevents avoidable delays and errors • Keeps ops scalable as volume grows Find out more in our blog (🔗 in comments) #Wallester #WallesterWhiteLabel #Fintech #Lending #EmbeddedFinance
