Earlier this year, our white paper set out the role that paper-based alternatives could play in addressing this challenge, alongside moving away from the packaging format where possible. Endorsed by 48 businesses, NGOs, investors and academics, it highlights strong industry appetite for a credible pathway forward. Examples from Unilever, Nestlé, and Mars show that there are already companies working on alternative packaging materials. Our report calls for urgent innovation to develop responsible solutions at scale. The Atlanta premiere of Groundswell, the third film in a trilogy on #regenerativeagriculture, was a poignant reminder of the work that's already happening right here in Georgia. We've got so many trailblazers: Will & Jenni Harris of White Oak Pastures, j. olu baiyewu from the City of Atlanta, Jamila Norman of Patchwork City Farms, and the Georgia Composting Council. And of course, my incredible mother-in-law and Groundswell Executive Producer Laura Turner Seydel, who is working tirelessly to spread this story across the country and around the world.

Yesterday I attended the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute's 20th anniversary open house and helped my dad pick out his fall term classes. OLLI has been part of Colorado State University since 2006 through an endowment from the Bernard Osher Foundation, and now it is a unit within the Division of Learning Innovation. More than 2,000 members take part every year in classes built for adults “50 and better” but open to any age. And one of the best parts is that many retired CSU professors and administrators come back to teach the classes. Congrats OLLI on 20 amazing years, and thank you to the team for all your hard work in making it the best it can be. This program is our land-grant mission at work, providing access to education for anyone in our community who wants to learn. Dad and fellow lifelong learners — have a great term!
