Mattan Griffel shared thisSo proud of this team! Nice work Evan Walden and Maveric Ohm. I've enjoyed being a part of and getting to witness your journey.Mattan Griffel shared thisI’m excited to share two big milestones today: Getro has been acquired by Findem, and together we’re launching Intelligent Job Posts, a new way for networks to fill jobs using AI agents. For Getro customers: everything you count on stays: the team, the product, the mission. - Why Getro 🤝 + Findem? - Over the past year, the hiring landscape has shifted fast. Job boards aren’t delivering the ROI talent leaders need. Unqualified traffic and fake applicants slow teams down. Talent leaders are asking for systems that actively build qualified talent pipelines, not just host job postings. When I met Hariharan, Findem’s CEO, it was obvious we shared the same belief: expert-labeled data + relationship signals + AI will reshape how companies hire. Findem has spent 5+ years building a verified dataset of more than a billion profiles and AI capabilities that drive real outcomes for talent teams. Getro brings the network, trust, and distribution. Together, we can build what neither could alone. - What does this mean going forward? - Starting today, Findem’s 3D data powers Getro from within: > Job boards evolve from static listings to AI agents that attract, qualify, and introduce talent directly to hiring managers. > People databases become richer and more searchable with verified contact data. > Workflows accelerate with assistive agents that enhance speed and measurable ROI. And with Intelligent Job Posts, AI agents find, engage, and qualify candidates 24/7. No more traffic that doesn't convert or fake profiles. Now, deliver verified, high-quality talent directly to your network. We’re kicking off our limited early access - so get in before it’s full! If this resonates, please DM me or comment below. And to the Getro team, customers, past employees, investors, and everyone who supported us along the way: thank you 🙏💜 . I can’t wait to see what we build together next.

Mattan Griffel shared thisNice work team! Proud to have been a (small) part of this.Mattan Griffel shared thisThey said it wouldn’t work. That it couldn’t scale. That the margins would always be low. That we were perhaps foolish to even try. This screenshot is from my first day on the job at Invisible Technologies, back in December 2019. Three of us (Jay Kumar, Christopher Chavez, and me) totally flunking a sales pitch... Six months earlier, I’d co-led the Seed round from my seat at Greycroft, before deciding to jump in full time. Why take the plunge? Because Francis Pedraza had painted a compelling, bold vision: transforming the world of work by orchestrating best-in-class technology and scalable human intelligence. Back then, pre-GenAI, the idea of “humans-in-the-loop” didn’t resonate with investors. We were told “no” again and again. So we took a different path: a little unconventional, very capital efficient, but truly insistent on our success. Fast forward: today we’re announcing Invisible's $100M fundraise led by Vanara Capital. With Matthew Fitzpatrick now at the helm and this infusion of R&D capital, we’re not just proving the skeptics wrong, we’re setting the pace for enterprises #makingAIwork in the real world. Mattan Griffel shared thisYesterday while I was teaching up at Columbia, the Dean of the Business School popped into my class to surprise me with an award in front of all my students. It was a very special moment and I'm so appreciative of Dean Costis Maglaras, Angela L., Daniel Guetta, and countless others who have helped me along all these years. I've been teaching at Columbia Business School for almost 10 years now, which is kind of crazy to think about (I can't think of anything else that I've been doing for that long). I'm also excited to be teaching Foundations of Entrepreneurship (a new class for me) this summer to the MBA class, and looking forward to hopefully doing this for many, many more years.

Mattan Griffel liked thisLong-term returns (aka terminal value) = long-term profits (as realized free cash flow)... All this AI infra capex is only justified IF it is temporary & EVENTUALLY turns into an increase in long-term free cash flows. The burden of proof is to show that it is not a deterioration in the profitability of these businesses. In the short term the market is a voting machine, in the long run it is a weighing machine. Fundamental value analysis ultimately prevails, tech just reinforces moat & facilitates customer delivery.Mattan Griffel liked thisAt a very hi level, free cashflow = operating cash flow - capex. The hyperscalers are deep into an investment cycle so they are consuming their operating cash flow. It is incorrect to look at this and assume their FCF has collapsed because operating cash flow has collapsed. It hasn't. Capex has exploded. This cycle should be eerily reminiscent of Amazon's approach over the past 20 years when they did the same thing related to e-commerce and AWS buildout. The question should be what moat did Amazon create at the end of that cycle and what kind of moat could the hyperscalers build now related to AI after this cycle?

Mattan Griffel reacted on thisMattan Griffel reacted on thisToday we're making a piece of Regbase public and free! For years the problem I lived with at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP was simple: the moment a client alert is published, you start a ticking clock until it's outdated. A deadline moves, a court enjoins half a statute, an agency withdraws its own rule for revision, maybe the government releases a statement of non-enforcement. The static website doesn't know. If you don't stay on top of it, compliance decisions could get made on a snapshot that's no longer accurate. There is nothing worse than when a client gives you an update that you should have caught. Regbase is a regulatory research platform that monitors and analyzes regulatory change across countries, languages, and the hard-to-find government sources: draft bills, consultations, and local agency pages. We find the updates that general search and LLMs miss. To show what it surfaces, we've made a few trackers free to read. And over the weekend, one of them proved the point in real time. Three days ago, FDA reopened the public comment period on BHT — one of the first substances through its new post-market review program, giving stakeholders another 30 days. But it did NOT reopen the period on ADA, the substance right next to it in the same announcement, which closed on schedule today. Two parallel deadlines, set the same day, in the same program. One moved. One didn't. As of this morning, ChatGPT and Anthropic still get the BHT deadline wrong. Our tracker caught the split within hours, timestamped, change-logged, primary source on every claim. The trackers we've opened up: — FDA GRAS reform (still at OMB: the timeline just slipped a third time) — The 50-state food-additive patchwork — California climate disclosure (SB 253/261) — TSCA PFAS reporting Free to read at: regbase.com/trackers If your team's work touches any of these (or a topic we haven't covered yet!) we would love to show you what the platform does beyond the public trackers. Book a demo at regbase.com. And if you know someone whose job is watching one of these, an intro means a lot! (Regbase is regulatory information, not legal advice).

Mattan Griffel reacted on thisMattan Griffel reacted on thisThis was the night I realised that it had become a problem. I was going to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in concert with my partner and a couple of friends. I had told myself all day that I would only have a couple of drinks and go home. It was exhausting. Back and forth in my head all day long. By the time we got there I was so mentally drained that I had no fight left in me. My friend offered me a drink and I just gave in and had several beers and a whole bottle of wine. As we were leaving I turned to my partner and said I wasn’t coming home. I spent that night doing gear off a plate whilst sat on my friends bed until 5am whilst my partner most likely cried herself to sleep. I feel sorry for everyone of us that night. Everyone suffered and no one won. This wasn’t an anomaly either. I’m so grateful to be 8 years without alcohol and substances and I’ll never go back.

Mattan Griffel liked thisMattan Griffel liked thisAn Upper East Side bar wanted to run a risky promotion: if the Knicks win tomorrow, everyone's drinks are on the house. But they figured out how to do it without losing any money. The Jeffrey bought a $5,000 contract on a prediction market that pays out if the Knicks win. Knicks win, every tab gets wiped, the payout covers the loss. Knicks lose, the bar keeps a packed house of paying customers and is out nothing but a small premium. Either way, they come out ahead. If this sounds familiar, it should. Businesses have run promos like this for decades: • Mattress Mack in Houston gives away millions in furniture every time the Astros win, then flies to Vegas to cover the whole thing with the sportsbooks • Furniture stores promise your money back "if it snows on Christmas" • Pizza chains hand out free pies when the home team scores 100 points But here's what changed. For all of those promos, the hedge was the hard part. You needed real money, a bookie or a sportsbook relationship, and the stomach to place a six-figure bet. That's why only the Mattress Macks of the world could actually pull it off. Prediction markets erased all of it. Now a neighborhood bar can hedge a promotion from a phone for the price of a decent bar tab. The same risk management that used to require a Vegas trip and a million dollars is a few clicks and $5,000. I think we see a lot more of this. Bookstores, restaurants, gyms, barbershops, anyone with a loyal local crowd and an event those customers care about.

Mattan Griffel reacted on thisMattan Griffel reacted on thisI have some huge news to share. Today we’re announcing that SuppCo has been acquired by Function Health. When Steve Martocci, Brandon Keene and I started SuppCo in 2023, we set out to make supplements actually work for people. To bring trust, clarity, and data to a category drowning in marketing claims. What we’ve built has been the joy of my professional life thus far: - A team of 17 phenomenal humans who deeply love their craft and truly care about each other. - A groundbreaking app with 800,000 users, loved by a genuinely friendly community. - A quality-rating system called TrustScore that rates over 35,000 products, giving users data-driven guidance that cuts through all the noise. - A powerful certification program that helps give consumers real confidence in their products, adopted by the industry’s highest-quality brands. - A relationship with our users built on tens of thousands of emails, comments, reviews, interviews, questions, and suggestions. A connection that has always felt pure because of our love for the problem. From the beginning, Steve and I always talked about the role SuppCo could play in the even bigger user problem of living a healthy and quality life. I’ve been relying on Function to track my own health since 2022. I have genetically high cholesterol and family history of several cancers, and Function has been the most important tool I have to see how I’m doing, including with my supplements. That’s why when we were approached by Function founder and CEO Jonathan Swerdlin and Function board member Zack Werner, we recognized the special opportunity to join forces. For a long time, we've believed the missing piece in supplementation is the answer to one question: "is it actually working?" Function is the platform that closes that loop. 160+ lab tests, clinician insights, and a model that gives people real ownership of their health. Together with the Function team, we're going to build something that's never been built before: a clear line from your biology to your supplement stack, with direct insights into what’s working for you. An enormous thank you goes to my co-founder Steve Martocci, who has taught me to dream big in a way that has changed my life, and given me the chance to make my dreams come true in the process. To the incredible SuppCo team: I’m so honored to build with you, and proud of what we’ve accomplished in such a short time. We’re so grateful to the thoughtful investors who believed in SuppCo from day one — Andy Weissman at Union Square Ventures, Adam D'Augelli at True Ventures, Mike Duboe at Greylock, Michael Dempsey at Compound, and David Tisch at Box Group. And to the Function team we're now lucky to call colleagues — Jonathan, Zack, Mark Hyman, MD, Pranitha Patil, Seth Weisfeld, Neil Shah, Ziad Sultan, Libby Juelsgaard and so many more — we cannot wait for what’s to come. Here’s to 100 healthy years. https://lnkd.in/g-UhrYsJ

Mattan Griffel liked thisMattan Griffel liked thisThe Real Cost of Procrastination: It’s Not Time – It’s Cognitive Load. Procrastination is rarely about laziness or poor time management. More often, it’s the result of too many open loops competing for attention. When tasks feel undefined, unprioritized, or emotionally charged, the brain stays in a constant state of background processing. That “mental noise” is cognitive load - and it compounds fast. Decisions feel heavier. Initiation feels harder. Avoidance becomes the default. ✦ This is where effective coaching makes the difference. ✦ Coaches don’t motivate with pressure. They reduce friction. By introducing with a coach: ✦ simple structures ✦ clear next actions ✦ externalized plans ✦ decision rules Coaching helps unload the brain. Less clutter means more capacity. More capacity leads to follow-through. Progress doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from thinking less about what to do next. Some quick and candid / not just bullish observations on AI in digital health, especially given the enormous level of noise at #JPM2026. Last (5th) post in the 5-on-5 series, opening 2026 with 5 different pieces with 5 observations each on the market for digital health founders. We are passed the hype phase. I actually think 2026 will be the year when saying 'AI' or 'Agentic' will raise more questions than applause. Too many pilots are not scaling, too many promises are yet to be fulfilled. When building a product takes less time, the path to commoditization also takes less time. Scribes, chart summarizations, etc. which leads IMO to NRR being much more important than ARR (show you are resilient to price pressure and churn) Most real impact of AI is on the back end of new companies. This is massive and hence any budget that looks similar to 2023 / 2024 or even 2025 budgets should render a very serious question As a byproduct, and unlike 2021, increased head count becomes a negative signal if the company is indeed AI-centered (proxy to inefficiency) And another key difference from 2021: raising a lot of money (with a big valuation) while the public market is at best open for high 9-digit revenue, is really playing very aggressive poker. I’m excited to announce that Actions Capital (fka K50 Ventures) has doubled down on Nitra in their Series B from our growth platform. I’ve known Tim Hwang for 10+ years (big s/o to the Kairos Fellowship) and watched him build and IPO FiscalNote with his co-founder Jonathan Chen. So, when they came to me with a clear mission: to re-build the financial operating system for healthcare, it was an easy yes. The plan and mission sounded very similar to our investments in ValonOS and Bilt, but in the healthcare industry, a $5T industry where 1 in every 6 dollars spent in the U.S. goes to healthcare. We were their first check pre-launch and they launched at the end of 2023, and in the years since, Nitra’s traction and growth have been remarkable, surpassing $35M in revenue and $1B in total payment volume by the end of 2025. However what’s more impressive is how quickly they have built their product layer cake to fix the broken healthcare industry. Today, Nitra is rapidly becoming the system of record for how doctors operate financially in the largest industry in the U.S. As healthcare financial operations continue to consolidate, payments, procurement, and workflows are converging into a single vertical fintech + AI platform purpose-built for providers. It’s a big bet and providers are already speaking with their dollars. I’m excited to see how Nitra will continue transforming the U.S. healthcare industry and ready for the long and fun road ahead. Congrats to Tim, Jonathan, and the whole team! If you want to partner or looking to join a great team, DM me.
