Marco Giberti reacted on thisMarco Giberti reacted on thisAnother strong USTA Annual Meeting, bringing together leadership from all 17 sections. Participation continues to grow, with more people playing more often, and more diverse communities finding their way into tennis. That progress reflects alignment across the system, from sections to volunteers to coaches and providers. Our focus now is how we build on that momentum and where we need to invest as an organization to drive sustained, long-term growth, particularly across facilities, coaching, and in how we leverage data and AI to drive participation. I also had the chance to join incoming CEO Craig Tiley and Andy Roddick on the Served podcast, a great conversation on where the USTA is today and where it’s headed next. Looking ahead, 2026 will be an important year. The transformation of Arthur Ashe Stadium will begin to take shape, setting the stage for an even stronger US Open and continued investment in the future of our sport. With participation continuing to outpace expectations, we’re well positioned as we work toward our goal of 35 million players by 2035.

Marco Giberti liked thisMarco Giberti liked thisIn 2021, Sports Illustrated Tickets — led by CEO David Lane — launched its secondary marketplace to modernize how fans buy and sell event tickets. Today, the platform features more than $2.5 billion in ticket inventory and provides access to over 50 million sports, concert and theater tickets across hundreds of thousands of live events worldwide, all available at SITickets.com. David continues to lead the company behind that scale, building a next-generation live events marketplace designed to enhance how fans discover and purchase tickets — with a focus on transparency — elevate fan experiences, deeper engagement and in-venue premium hospitality. In just four and a half years, Sports Illustrated Tickets has expanded beyond a global secondary marketplace to include a blockchain-powered primary ticketing system built on Avalanche, as well as the acquisition of North America’s largest ticket asset trader — leveraging two decades of proprietary data to help partners optimize inventory across the world’s top marketplaces with precision and market insight. Through partnerships spanning the NFL, MLB, MLS and leading European football clubs — along with the 25,000-seat Sports Illustrated Stadium in the New York City area — David is helping reshape the ticketing ecosystem through technology, data, fan experience and strategic partnerships. His 25-years of executive leadership experience includes: 🏆 CEO, Sports Illustrated Tickets 🏆 Developed a blockchain‑powered primary ticketing platform 🏆 Executive leadership roles at FanDuel, OUTFRONT Media and TouchTunes 🏆 Founder of digital media companies with patents in wireless multimedia transmission At PEAK, David will share how modern ticketing platforms, blockchain infrastructure and marketplace innovation are reshaping the economics and fan experience of live sports and entertainment. 🎤 Catch David live at PEAK 2026 in Las Vegas, The Global Home of SportsTech and Innovation - peakconf.com 🗓️ April 20–22, 2026 | Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Marco Giberti liked thisMarco Giberti liked thisI was first bitten by the event bug almost 20 year ago. Since the launch of LeadsCon, which is still going strong 18 editions later, we have continued to hone our craft across some of the most interesting and critical industries. There have been many milestones along the way (ahem Caribou Honig), including our six exits. One of those milestones was in 2017 when we convinced Josh Grossman to join us on the ITC journey. Today, I am excited to share things have come full circle. Not only are we launching our latest show - Protectors - but Josh Grossman has once again decided to join us. Protectors Vegas debuts November 9th - 11th, and its creation is heavily influenced by two forces. The first is not surprising - Medicarians. We launched Medicarians in 2022, having taken over a 12 year old Medicare Supplement event run by Jesse Slome. Five years on, that event grew from 500 people to now over 5,000. The second influence is less intuitive - Viewpoint Viewpoint's founder, Drew Aldrich was not only instrumental in helping ITC, but his knowledge and passion have shaped my love for and desire to serve industries where people are the conduit for trust, information, and ultimately purchases. Powered by NAIFA, Protectors serves those who help us with some of our most important financial and protection decisions - the agents, advisors, and carriers in the life and annuity industry. It also serves the IMOs, FMOs, BGAs, and index providers, as well as audiences for which we are also known - capital providers and innovative startups. Protectors would not be what it without the support of John W. Wheeler, CFP CLU ChFC CRPC LUTCF CLTC LACP CPFA, Kevin Mayeux, and Dan LaBert along with Chris Orestis, CSA who suggested we meet. Last but not least, a big thanks to Kent Jacquay, whose unrivaled love for annuities motivated us to take over his National Index Forum as part of our Protectors journey. It takes a village, and I have only named but a few. I am sure I am forgetting way too many people who are and have helped us (Ori Ben-Yishai, Sam Melamed, Tyler End, CFP®, James Wong, Paul Tyler, Laura Dinan Haber, Paul Feldman, Pam Sheehan) as the journey continues.

It was a sunny afternoon in downtown San Francisco last autumn when Andrew Côté told me about his idea to take Deep Tech Week global. The concept: build the world’s largest decentralized conference dedicated to the technologies that will define this century — across energy, aerospace, manufacturing, computing, defense, biotech, robotics, and AI. So this May, we’re bringing that vision to Berlin. Deep Tech Momentum will serve as the anchor event, surrounded by dozens of side events across the city. Imagine scientists, entrepreneurs, engineers, customers — and the investors bold enough to underwrite a better tomorrow — gathering in one city for a week of frontier technology. We’re now looking for AI and Deep Tech-related side events across Berlin, including: 👉 Happy hours 👉 Networking receptions 👉 Founder dinners 👉 Demo days 👉 Panels 👉 Presentations If you host something during the week (ideally Monday, Tuesday, Friday), we’ll promote it through the Deep Tech Momentum and Deep Tech Week channels. Please reach out if you are interested. Let’s turn Berlin into a five-day hub for frontier technology. 📅 Deep Tech Week Berlin May 18–22

A new vertical chapter is emerging in Downtown Miami. Over the past few years, Miami has transformed into a global capital hub — attracting institutional investors, developers, entrepreneurs, and families from around the world. But every global city eventually defines a district that represents its vertical ambition. Today, we are introducing: Miami Super Tall Quarter™ A designated vertical district in Downtown Miami defined by iconic architecture, elevated living, hospitality integration, wellness culture, and next-generation mixed-use development. At its epicenter stands The James Residence — a super-tall residential and hospitality tower designed not simply as a building, but as the founding anchor of a new skyline identity. The vision is clear: • Height with purpose • Luxury with community • Capital with culture • Architecture with longevity This is not about one project. It’s about shaping a vertical ecosystem. Downtown Miami is rising — and the Quarter is taking form. More to come. #Miami #DowntownMiami #SuperTall #RealEstateDevelopment #CapitalMarkets #Hospitality #TheJamesResidence #UrbanDevelopment

Echoing everything our partner at NextMe, John Y., shared about BizBash Connect + Innovation Forum in Miami. What a week! 👙 First, Huge shoutout to our team for making it happen! Luisaura Alvarez, M.S. . Reynaldo Tavarez, and John Y.. You debuted our 'Smart Stations' inside the Innovation Forum and brought our vision to life for attendees! Why this matters for event planners + brand advertisers Our 'Smart Stations' are more than mirrors — they are a dynamic media channel built for live events. Think about the opportunities: 💡 Play sponsor video content to promote a new product or partnership 💡 Drive traffic instantly to social channels, apps, or websites with QR codes 💡 Display event schedules, maps, or stage agendas where attendees look 💡 Run quick polls, surveys, or gamified experiences to boost engagement 💡 Provide sponsor ad space that rotates by brand, message, or time of day 💡 Seamlessly integrate into exhibitor booths, lounges, VIP areas, and entryways without taking extra floor space 💡 Capture impressions in high-traffic zones like festival entrances, conference check-ins, and venue hallways 💡 And of course, power the must-have Conference Salon + Headshot Lounge, where beauty, branding, and connection collide Why it is game changing: For planners + advertisers, 'Smart Stations' turn everyday attendee moments into measurable impressions. It is utility plus branding working together to maximize ROI and amplify sponsor visibility in the exact moments people are paying attention. 'Smart Stations' are not just another piece of tech on the floor. They are more than signage. It's a new category of experiential media that transforms waiting, watching, and wanting. Thank you again BizBash for the opportunity and also to our friends at SpotMyPhotos for capturing attendees at their best! go MLR is the real pioneer weaving beauty + tech into live events. While we don't always get the recognition for being innovative, we are super grateful to leaders like Michela Giovannotto for giving us the platform to showcase our talent and experiences! Next up Shoptalk Fall in Chicago... where you can experience our new 'Smart Stations' for yourself! 👀

We’re thrilled to be a meaningful partner in Kavak.com's $300M Series F alongside Andreessen Horowitz and WCM Investment Management. It’s hard as an investor to find an N-of-1 company; it’s meaningfully harder for a founder to build one. Today, Kavak.com is Latin America’s leading platform for buying, selling, financing, and servicing used cars. It closed 2025 with ~120k transactions (+40% YoY), reached its first month of consolidated global profitability in December, and has financed $1B+ for customers since inception. Most remarkably, more than 40% of their customers were first time car buyers — and in Latin America, car ownership can completely transform a person’s livelihood. When Carlos Garcia Ottati and his team started, the basic plumbing for a functioning used-car market simply didn't exist. In Kavak’s markets, the process was informal, high-friction, and uncertain, with customers facing fraud risk in up to 40% of transactions. Everything we're familiar with in the U.S. — reliable inspections, professional refurbishment, standardized pricing, consumer financing, and structured resale channels — were capabilities Kavak had to build from scratch over a decade. They created trust in a category where it was scarce, and in doing so, a valuable consumer brand. Kavak isn't just a marketplace. It’s something rarer — part retailer, part logistics network, part lender, and emerging AI powerhouse — and it somehow runs as one. That integration creates an information advantage: proprietary, longitudinal data on how cars are bought, priced, financed, and used, which helps them apply AI to improve decisions at scale. Many AI beneficiaries won’t look like AI companies at first glance. And while the physical economy has historically made tech investors uncomfortable, it's where Lingotto has leaned in most — where we see some of the largest markets and most durable moats forming over the next decade. Huge respect to Carlos Garcia Ottati and the team for building the hard thing first — now they get to scale it. In his words, “we have less than 1% of the market, and the best companies create more than 95% of their value after year 15.” 📰: https://lnkd.in/eYvc67j9 Carlos Garcia Ottati Jaime Macaya Moises Flores Botello Isabella S. #Lingotto #LingottoInnovation #LingottoInvestment cc Clemente Dadoo Lomeli

Today we officially kick off our $2M pre seed round for Salubrum (Backed by Forum Ventures), supported by Forum Ventures, Coeus Collective Ventures, and Draper House Americas. Healthcare companies spend over $30B a year trying to acquire patients. The problem is not media. The problem is timing. Every time a patient approaches a healthcare decision a moment opens. Which doctor to see. Which procedure to pursue. Which treatment to start. For the companies involved in that decision, knowing that moment exists is incredibly valuable. Salubrum (Backed by Forum Ventures) is building the intelligence layer that maps those decision moments across the U.S. patient population. Our system aggregates large healthcare datasets covering 300M+ patient identities and uses them to predict when individuals are approaching important healthcare decisions. That signal can then be used by providers, pharma companies, payers, and other healthcare organizations trying to reach patients at the right time. Our first wedge is patient acquisition for healthcare providers and brands, but the underlying intelligence layer has much broader applications wherever patient behavior influences economic decisions. Over the past months we have quietly built the foundation. • Early pilots validating our patient intent scoring system • Distribution partnerships forming across healthcare platforms • Backed by Forum Ventures, Coeus Collective Ventures, Draper House Americas, NEXT Canada and Metta World Peace Starting tomorrow we will be meeting investors as part of the Forum Ventures showcase. If you are an investor interested in building with us get in touch. Calendly: https://lnkd.in/e5j-VvGC Investor Memo: https://lnkd.in/e5HyemAp

🚀 Draper Founder Spotlight: FRANCISCO RAMIREZ, CEO of MEDPLACE CHILE Draper House Americas Draper Startup House Three years ago, Francisco made the bold decision to leave a senior role in healthcare to tackle one of Latin America’s biggest medical challenges: the shortage of doctors and nurses to cover hospital shifts. That leap gave birth to Medplace, a platform connecting validated health professionals with hospitals and clinics to ensure surgeries and procedures aren’t canceled for lack of staff. 📈 In just 24 months: 20+ clients onboarded 30,000+ professionals using the platform 19,000+ shifts covered across Chile, Brazil, and now expanding to Argentina & Mexico Francisco joined the Draper Founders Program in Chile, won the competition, and earned a scholarship to Draper University in Silicon Valley. 🌎 Financing the Future of Latin America Talking with (and learning from) the extraordinaire Harvard University educated Reinaldo Fioravanti, PhD this afternoon here at Martin's Tavern, Estd. 1933 in Georgetown about international development lending. The questions abound, and the answers are often as elusive as complex. Questions such as: 🔹 How can we finance infrastructure that drives growth while reducing environmental impact? 🔹 How do we design pro-poor strategies so that new roads, ports, and digital networks also reduce poverty and expand opportunity? 🔹 How can development lending help build local capital markets and expand retail banking—without crowding out the very commercial banks we want to strengthen? It is easy to build a road, a bridge or a power plant. It is way harder to do it involving local capital markets through PPPs, and getting local banks to lend to adjacent private sector players, pulverizing capital dispersion in the system, distributing economic growth through different layers of market players. That’s my two cents… #InternationalDevelopment #SustainableFinance #LatinAmerica #Infrastructure #EmergingMarkets #DevelopmentFinance #ppp #publicprivatepartnership #p3 • Inter-American Development Bank • The World Bank • International Monetary Fund • CAF -banco de desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe- • United Nations 🇺🇳 Asian Development Bank (ADB) African Development Bank Group United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) And the leaders on this topic: Makhtar Diop Anna Bjerde Carlos Felipe Jaramillo William Maloney Ayat Soliman

Proud moment for our team. 🫒 We just helped land coverage in GB News for our client Peter George Matos DO, MPH, FACOEM, FACPM — spotlighting something most people overlook about the Mediterranean diet: it's not just what you eat, it's what's in what you eat. Dr. Matos put it simply: "The polyphenol content of Mediterranean cuisine represents perhaps its most under-appreciated advantage." That quote is now in front of millions of readers. But stepping back from the placement for a moment — This win belongs to two people who've spent their careers turning ancient wisdom into rigorous science. Stefanos Kales — Professor at Harvard Medical School, over 200 published studies, and one of the most important voices in global Mediterranean diet research. His work has shown that adherence to a Mediterranean lifestyle reduces all-cause mortality by 29% and cancer mortality by 28%. That's not a diet trend. That's a body of evidence decades in the making. Peter George Matos DO, MPH, FACOEM, FACPM — founder of O-Liv and a physician who has dedicated his practice to occupational and preventive medicine, with a particular focus on the metabolic power of olive-based polyphenols. He's doing the rare work of translating deep science into something people can actually use in their daily lives. The media coverage is great. But what we're really grateful for is the privilege of helping amplify work that genuinely matters to people's health. Thank you, Dr. Matos and Dr. Kales. The world is healthier because of what you've built. 🔗 Read the full article in GB News https://lnkd.in/enA9PaKD #MediterraneanDiet #PublicHealth #EarnedMedia #Polyphenols #PreventiveMedicine #PR

In early-stage VC, conviction is a virtue and a strategy. At Draper Cygnus we invest in deep tech latino founders when their vision is still invisible to most of the market. That’s what being thesis-driven means: making decisions based on long-term belief, not short-term signals. In early stage, you don’t have a perfect product or traction metrics, but: 👉 A founder’s clarity of purpose 👉 How they navigate uncertainty and rejection 👉 The depth of their obsession with the problem they’re solving 👉 Their ability to attract a world-class team These are not soft factors. They are strategic indicators of a founder’s potential to build something that can reshape industries and the future. And when we choose to invest, it’s not a transaction. It’s a long-term commitment to help those founders turn invisible ideas into global impact. #DeepTech #VentureCapital #DraperCygnus

Proud to see chatlyn included in Nauta Capital’s new piece on the real B2B opportunities in traveltech. Big thanks to Nauta Capital and Andrea Oliver Garcia for the mention. My takeaway as a hotel-tech founder: the most durable wins sit in the “less visible” layers: • Post-booking & operations: where integrations and workflows create real stickiness. • Infrastructure & distribution: abstracting legacy complexity to unlock new channels. • Group, corporate, luxury: high-value, complex segments that need modern tooling. This is exactly where we focus at chatlyn: making guest communication and ops run faster, smarter, and more personal for hotel teams. Full read in the comments 👇

“A great co-founder relationship is like steering a ship together—you both have your hands on the wheel, and if you’re not aligned, you’ll drift off course. Authenticity, transparency, and trust aren’t optional—they’re everything.” –Tanis Jorge A huge thank you to Tanis Jorge for joining our recent Founders Network global keynote! As a serial entrepreneur and expert on co-founder dynamics, Tanis shared heartfelt insights on what makes—or breaks—the most important relationship in a startup. She reminded us that beyond metrics and milestones, true success often comes down to the human connection between founders. When nurtured with honesty and empathy, that partnership can become one of the most meaningful relationships you’ll ever have—regardless of the company’s outcome. Tanis, thank you for your wisdom, optimism, and for reminding our community that great partnerships build not just strong companies, but lifelong bonds. #FoundersNetwork #CoFounders #StartupJourney #FounderWisdom #Leadership #Entrepreneurship #StartupLessons #TanisJorge #BuildingTogether #GlobalKeynote
