Jillian Rizzo reposted thisJillian Rizzo reposted thisThe Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon raised over $7.1 this year. It was a record smashing year. I was under the impression that records happened every few years, but that’s just not the case. They are rare. 17 years between 2008 and 2025. That was an $850,000 beat. 2026 beat last year by $1,400,000. Obviously, the Red Sox are red hot and that drives viewership & participation. Can’t wait to dive in and see what caused the phase shift in giving. More new donors, bigger gifts, more returning donors? The reverse engineering is the fun part.. First message from the team was at 7:24 AM. “Pulling stats”. You can’t fake that type of passion and commitment. Congrats to everyone at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, NESN , WEEI Sports Radio Network and the Boston Red Sox on a job well done. As we say up here in New England, “we’re on to 2027”.

Jillian Rizzo shared thisIncredible work by this team. They never fail to amaze me! 🤩Jillian Rizzo shared thisNot every photo on the camera roll is perfect, but they all mean something. There’s a reason they’ve never been deleted: the memories behind them. We set out to create a spot that championed the photos that document every single moment, from the perfectly posed to the candids to the completely unexpected, and the app where users can store them all, Amazon Photos. Jillian Rizzo shared thisNo Advertising major? No problem! We want the thinkers, the forecasters, and the pattern-finders. If you’re a Math or Stats major, advertising might not have even crossed your mind. Digital media is a numbers game. We’re looking for people who actually enjoy digging into the numbers and turning them into a smart decision. You bring the logic; we’ll teach you the industry!Jillian Rizzo shared thisMath & statistics majors: we’re looking for thinkers like you. Today’s media landscape runs on data, forecasting, performance analysis, and constant optimization. Every day, we’re evaluating campaign metrics, identifying trends, measuring efficiency, and using numbers to make smarter decisions about where our clients’ marketing dollars work hardest. You don't need an advertising background. You need quantitative reasoning. Pattern recognition. Precision. Curiosity. The ability to interpret data and continuously improve performance. At Gupta Media, our Media Coordinators use data-driven thinking to uncover insights and drive results for brands. If you didn’t think your math or statistics degree applied to marketing, we'd encourage you to apply to the last spot for our June Media Coordinator cohort. 📊

Jillian Rizzo shared thisRecent and upcoming grads, this is my annual “please don’t fumble the interview” reminder as we head into interview season: Communication matters. Timely, thoughtful responses to scheduling, follow-ups, and next steps set the tone throughout your interview process...even before you walk in the room. Send a thank you. And please, not the same copy & paste note to everyone. Overdressed is better than underdressed. Always. Stand up, shake hands, and bring something to write with. Come in curious. Have questions ready. We don’t expect you to know everything. We want you to want to learn everything. Speaking of which…we’re hiring Media Coordinators at Gupta Media! Analytical, ambitious, and into advertising? Apply below! https://lnkd.in/ejCYidnH

Jillian Rizzo shared thisI always tell people we’re building something special at Gupta Media, and last night was proof. We placed #18 on the Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work!! The only ad agency on the list, recognized by the people who make this place go. Culture shapes everything. It influences who joins, who stays, and how we experience our work together every day. Proud of our team and grateful to play a part in fostering the culture that makes this possible.

Jillian Rizzo shared thisProud of this team!!Jillian Rizzo shared thisWe’ve always thought Gupta Media was a great place to work, and now it’s official. We're proud to be named one of Boston Globe Media's 2025 Top Places To Work, the only ad agency included in the annual ranking of Massachusetts's best employers. “Being recognized by the Globe is especially meaningful because it reflects the voices of our own team—the people who are shaping the future of Gupta Media every day.” – Gogi Gupta Full article in the comments! #workboston

Jillian Rizzo liked thisJillian Rizzo liked thisAfter more than four decades in advertising and advertising education, it’s time for me to use a word I’m still getting used to: Retired. It’s hard to sum up a career that has given me so much. Most of all, I think about the thousands of students I’ve had the privilege to teach. You came into my classes with amazing talent, ambition, uncertainty, ideas and questions. Then, I had the extraordinary pleasure of watching you go out into the whole world and build amazing careers, companies, campaigns, families, and joyous lives. This has been so much fun for me! Teaching was one of the great privileges of my life. I hope I taught you something worthwhile along the way. I know you taught me plenty. I’m also deeply grateful for the remarkable people I’ve worked alongside throughout my career at Syracuse University, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Leo Burnett. I was so blessed to spend my working life surrounded by smart, creative, funny, passionate people who challenged me, inspired me, and made the work and life’s journey a whole lot more fun. I owe an enormous debt to the professors and mentors who taught me. Sadly, many are gone already. They showed me how to succeed in a career that was way over my head, showed me what a great teacher could be and, whether they knew it or not, helped shape the professor I eventually became. I tried to pay that forward in the last 23 years. Finally, there are three people without whom none of this would have meant anything; my wonderful wife Rebecca (that I first dated when I was 13… 57 years ago) and my two amazing daughters Emily and Kirsten. You supported me, tolerated the long hours, the weeks away when I had to travel, celebrated the victories, endured the frustrations, listened to more advertising stories than anyone should ever have to hear, and kept me grounded. I love you. So, after all these years, I leave with no great words of wisdom just an enormous amount of gratitude. To my students, my colleagues, mentors, friends, and most of all my family: Thank you. Thank you for the opportunities. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for making one very ordinary guy’s career more rewarding than he ever could have imagined. I love you all.

Jillian Rizzo reacted on thisJillian Rizzo reacted on thisThe nights are getting longer, and at Zoo New England's Franklin Park Zoo, they're getting brighter, too. ✨ Boston Lights is back, and this year's lanterns are some of my favorites yet: penguins, big cats from around the world, and the stunning Grand Canyon. If you're looking for a way to spend a late-summer or fall evening in the city, this is it. I'm also thankful for our entire team, which pulls this event off year after year in conjunction with our partner, Tianyu Arts & Culture, Inc. It's a lot of late nights, but it's worth it because we're helping people make memories made in light. Learn more > https://lnkd.in/gnZ5Af8b

I'll be working alongside their Media team on research, strategy, and campaign planning, with hands-on experience across Google, Meta, Snapchat, and TikTok advertising platforms. Gupta Media works with an incredible range of clients across entertainment, sports, and the public sector, and I'm looking forward to bringing what I learned this summer at Buda Juice into a new part of the marketing world. Grateful for the opportunity and excited for what's ahead!

Jillian Rizzo liked thisJillian Rizzo liked thisThank you, Red Sox Nation! The WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon at Fenway Park raised a record $7.1 million and counting for cancer research and care at Dana-Farber. Thank you to the amazing Jimmy Fund Co-Chair Tom Caron for interviewing me on NESN. And thanks to the WEEI Sports Radio Network for the interview. I particularly enjoyed being called the “big man” when sitting next to Ted Johnson, 10-year linebacker for the Patriots and 3x Super Bowl champion. I appreciate Rich Shertenlieb for sharing your family’s experience at Dana-Farber. And thanks to the Boston Red Sox, Arbella Insurance Group and everyone who tuned in, contributed, and continues to stand with The Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Since 2002, the Radio-Telethon has raised more than $80 million to support cancer care and research at Dana-Farber. But what makes these two days so powerful are the people behind those numbers — especially the patients and families who generously share their stories. Cancer research and care are advancing more rapidly than ever thanks to support like this.

For HR teams, open enrollment is crunch time. Employees expect clarity. Compliance deadlines don’t budge. And one missing packet can snowball into chaos. That’s why preparation is everything. The most successful HR leaders treat open enrollment like game day—they build their playbook early, segment their employees, and automate the parts that usually drag them down. At LetterStream, we make sure mailings don’t become the bottleneck. Upload once, track internal progress, and know 95% of packets are in the mail the next business day. Whether you’re sending to 50 employees or 5,000, you get peace of mind—and employees get what they need to make smart decisions. Because the real win in open enrollment isn’t just hitting deadlines. It’s making sure your people have the right information on time, without burning out your team.
