On 8/26 I was blessed with what I feel easily can be listed among my 5 top career moments.
1. Earning my Teaching Degree, and for a short time shaping the future of fifth graders at the Washington Street School in East Orange.
2. Earning my “Golden Triangle” to join “The Outfit” leading to securing a position as an Academy Instructor.
3. Serving as spokesperson for the NJSP, PAPD and the Office of the Ocean County Prosecutor.
4. Being awarded the 2020 Former Trooper of the Year title.
5. Finally, today standing with the Academy Instructors I served with at the first Commemorative Instructor Pin Ceremony. The event at the New Jersey State Police Training Academy in Sea Girt was held to honor all instructors contributions to the New Jersey State Police Academy and the Division. During the ceremony, I was given the honor to pin my custom engraved replica badge on the official New Jersey State Police Training Bureau United States flag that will be forever displayed within the walls of the Academy. Easy to find great pride in the moment when the invitation included the below quote:
“Without a doubt, our Academy’s esteemed instructors hold a position of unparalleled significance. They impart knowledge, skills, and the values and culture that define the New Jersey State Police. Their tireless dedication and genuine care for the recruit classes of tomorrow leave an indelible mark on the character and performance of our troopers.”
