Jeff Pugh reacted on thisJeff Pugh reacted on thisIn March 2015, an extraordinary birth took place on a family farm near DeKalb, Texas. 🐄✨ A cow owned by Jimmy Barling and Dora Rumsey Barling gave birth to four healthy, live calves at once—three bulls and one heifer. The family couldn’t believe their eyes. They named the unexpected siblings Eeny, Meeny, Miny, and Moo. ❤️ According to local veterinarian Mike Baird, the odds of a cow giving birth to four live calves were estimated at roughly 1 in 11.2 million, making the event exceptionally rare. But the miracle didn’t end with their birth. Their mother couldn’t produce enough milk to feed all four, so the family and their neighbors stepped in. They provided extra feedings and kept a close eye on the newborns to make sure each one had a healthy start. What began as an astonishingly rare event soon became a beautiful example of community care. Everyone came together to help four tiny calves survive and thrive. Four calves. One remarkable mother. And yet it's the skill I've applied more personal and financial resources to in the past year than the past five. As with basically every other marketer I know, a couple years ago I went on a mission to create the perfect Claude skill that would give my consulting business its own personal copywriter. Quicker project turnaround and higher project-by-project margins. What's the downside? Prosaic AI-generated content is so commonplace now that I feel like we've collectively forgotten what it means to be moved by good copywriting. You may think you're clever when you sneak a bit of AI copy through a client review. But they know, even if they don't say anything. Because at its core it sounds like everything else out there. This whole experience has helped me to remember that I used to be a really good writer. I've written dozens of video scrips and TV ads over the years, and I enjoyed doing it. I'm trying to get back to that place. To be clear, Claude has been an absolute unlock for research, organization, and a litany of other things to get me through my busy day. But from now on, any consumer-facing content that goes out my door is being written by a human being.
