Leading and growing the sales team over the past several months was one of the most rewarding—and challenging—periods of my career. I’m grateful to have worked alongside so many incredible people across sales, marketing, customer success, and product, all united around the mission of supporting first responders across the country. I’m incredibly excited about what’s ahead and look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks 🚀

Ian Dusci liked thisHe walked away from a professional basketball career to become the #CEO of HealthLinks Magazine, where he is elevating the voice of independent physicians and their practices throughout the Southeastern United States. Cullen Murray-Kemp is an inspiring entrepreneur and executive leader who believes that healthcare is and should remain local, independent, and personalized. Even as healthcare advances through technology and #ai, the following three principles which resonated throughout Cullen's conversation will remain of highest priority to me personally in the work we do Ainsley Capital: the patient at the #center of all care, the physician as #leader of how care is administered, and the need for all of us to work together this next decade to create a fluorishing #outpatient ecosystem as care moves from the hospital to the home. Only 14% of physician practices in South Carolina remain independent of healthcare systems and other organizations, the work being done by Cullen Murray-Kemp and his team at Healthlinks is so incredibly refreshing - it's no wonder they are growing by leaps and bounds. Ian Dusci liked thisIan Dusci liked thisWhen was the last time you did something for the first time? It had been years since I stood on a pool deck. Last year, I decided to volunteer as a swim coach with Special Olympics. This week, we kicked off the 2026 season. What surprised me most wasn’t the swimming. It was the mindset. Every practice, these athletes show up ready to work. They celebrate each other’s progress like it’s the biggest win of the week. And they’ve reminded me that growth isn’t just about hitting targets—it’s about showing up for people. I almost didn’t volunteer. “I don’t have time.” “I don’t have the right skills.” But the truth is, there’s probably an organization in your community that needs exactly what you already bring to the table—whether that’s leadership, systems thinking, or coaching others through challenges. The ROI? Watching someone finally nail a stroke they’ve been working on for weeks. To everyone in SaaS, ops, sales, logistics, or tech: what’s one way you could give back this quarter? You don’t need a hero story. You just need to show up.

💡 "Whatever you incentivize, you will get." If you're a business owner, you've seen it play out. If your sales comp plan rewards total revenue… don't be shocked when reps discount deals just to close. If you want profit? You've got to pay for profit. Your sales team will follow the money. Make sure the money is leading in the right direction. #SalesAndCigars #SalesLeadership #SalesComp #IncentiveDesign #ProfitFirst #RevenueVsProfit

Most technical deals don't die because the prospect said no. They die because you stopped following up. The data backs this up: - 80% of sales require 5+ touches to close - 44% of reps give up after one attempt The average sale needs 8 touchpoints before conversion. But here's what makes technical sales different. Your buyers aren't ignoring you because they're uninterested. They're ignoring you because they're buried in deadlines, firmware bugs, and manufacturing timelines. The follow-up that works isn't "just checking in." It's: → Sharing a technical insight related to their architecture → Referencing a specific constraint they mentioned → Connecting your solution to a problem they're actively solving Every touchpoint should prove you understand their world better than the last rep who gave up. This is how we approach persistence at Bluebird: each follow-up earns attention by adding value, not asking for it. #B2BSales #TechnicalSales #SalesStrategy #OutboundSales #GTMStrategy #SalesLeadership #EmbeddedSystems #IoT #RevenueGrowth

Sales Tip: Most Deals Are Lost Too Early Most sales aren’t lost because of price. They’re lost because follow‑up stopped too soon. Here’s a simple truth we teach business owners: Most deals close after multiple touches. A smart follow‑up cadence looks like this: • Day 0 • Day 2 • Day 5 • Day 9 • Day 14 • Day 21 • Day 30 Consistent, professional follow‑up builds trust and keeps you top of mind when the buyer is ready. Most sales teams focus on 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. But the real problem isn’t getting leads. It’s knowing 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐲. Today’s buyers don’t immediately book demos or fill out forms. They research quietly. They visit pricing pages. Compare plans. Return multiple times before making a decision. These actions are 𝐛𝐮𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬. But most sales teams never see them. This is where AI changes the game. Instead of waiting for demo requests, AI can detect intent signals — like when a prospect revisits pricing, compares plans, or returns to your product multiple times. With 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐱𝐢.𝐀𝐈 𝐏𝐮𝐥𝐬𝐞, sales teams can see these signals in real time and engage prospects at the exact moment interest is highest. The future of sales isn’t more outreach. It’s 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐮𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲. #BrixiAI #AI #SalesTech #FutureOfSales #B2BSales #SaaS

Cold calling isn’t outdated. It’s underused. Top BDRs & SDRs aren’t just good with scripts they’re great at real conversations. Here’s your cold call warm-up routine: 1. Block time daily – Make 50 calls. No excuses. 2. Ditch the robot voice – Talk like a human, not a pitch deck. 3. Open with value – “Hey [Name], I’ll be quick—noticed [relevant insight]...” 4. Listen more – Ask 2x more questions than you pitch. 5. Review & repeat – Record, listen, improve. → The phone won’t bite. But it might land your next deal. Embrace the dial. That’s how you get better. 👉🏻 Follow Travis Simat for more such amazing content 👉 Follow Sales Tips for no-fluff sales tips.

Cold Calls Fail Because of Tone, Not Scripts. Most cold calls don’t fail because of what is said. They fail because of how it’s said. Nervous tone. Rushed pace. Needy energy. Prospects hear that before they hear your words. That’s why the best script in the world still fails in the wrong state. Top reps don’t just prepare what to say. They prepare how to show up. They reset before dialing. They slow their breathing. They stand up. They smile — even when no one sees it. Because people don’t respond to scripts. They respond to certainty. A calm voice signals confidence. A neutral tone signals control. A relaxed pace signals authority. Cold calling is an energy game disguised as a language game. Fix your state first. The words will land on their own. #ColdCalling #SalesMindset #B2BSales #OutboundSales #SalesSkills We are building Callaborade to reconnect continents that depend on each other, in times when that feels forgotten.

Most sales reps don’t quit because they “can’t sell.” They quit because the ramp feels like a financial black hole. Here’s a simple shift we’ve seen double retention almost overnight 👇 Instead of hoping reps survive the first 60 days, smart teams pay for progress. If a rep needs to hit ~$40K/month to be fully productive, ask a better question: What activities get them there in the first 60 days? Then reverse-engineer it. Week by week, you define the actions and milestones that predict success — and you attach bonuses to those behaviors while they ramp. Example: • Month 1: Complete X, Y, Z → $2,000 bonus • Month 2: Complete A, B, C → $2,000 bonus Now the rep earns $4K while building toward a full income. And the business stays protected because it’s activity- and production-based. The result? Reps feel supported. Cash flow pressure drops. Buy-in skyrockets. Training pay isn’t fluff — when structured correctly, it’s a retention weapon. Tired of high-turnover commission reps killing your momentum? A calendar full of discovery calls is often a symptom, not a win. The calls are scheduled. Reps show up prepared. Conversations happen. But the buyers aren't ready to decide. They're still trying to understand. This forces sales to run education sessions disguised as discovery. The rep explains the category, installs the problem frame, builds credibility from scratch. By the time actual qualification begins, the call is half over. The real cost is invisible in most dashboards. Booked calls get counted. Education load doesn't. The system looks healthy because activity is up, but close rates stay flat because readiness was never installed before the meeting. In practice, we think about calendars differently. A booked call should be a decision event, not a starting point. When belief is installed upstream, sales navigates instead of educates. That distinction changes the math on everything that follows.

Top sales performers ask 5x more questions than average reps. Not because they're naturally curious. Because they understand something average reps don't: The prospect has all the information you need to close them. You just have to ask for it. Average reps ask a few surface questions: What brought you in today? When are you looking to get started? What's your budget? Then they launch into their pitch. Top performers dig deeper: Tell me more about that. What else is going on? How long has this been an issue? What have you tried before? Why didn't that work? What happens if you wait? Every question reveals something. A pain point they haven't mentioned. A timeline pressure you didn't know about. A concern that would have killed the deal later. Now you can address it before it becomes an objection. That's why top performers talk 20% less. They don't need to talk. The prospect is doing the work for them.

Stop making cold calls. Start closing deals. Your sales development reps (SDRs) are likely wasting 70% of their day on manual tasks navigating gatekeepers, leaving voicemails, and chasing no answers. This cycle leaves almost no time for actual selling. The question for growth teams in 2026 is simple: Can AI agents handle the outreach for you? The answer is yes. At Chatley AI, we’ve moved beyond simple robocalls. Our AI voice agents use LLMs and natural speech synthesis to: 1. Qualify Leads: Handle objections and filter prospects in real-time. 2. Book Meetings: Sync directly with HubSpot and Calendly. 3. Scale Volume: 3x your outbound capacity without a single new hire. AI deals with the "no's" so your human closers can focus on the "yes's." The SDR Mastery Journal Every Top Performer Wishes They Had on Day 1 Most SDRs drift through their day. Elite SDRs operate through their day. After leading and developing a fair share of reps, here’s the truth: The gap between an average SDR and an elite SDR isn’t talent, it’s how they manage themselves. It’s the exact operating system I wish every revenue leader handed their team on Day 1. Here’s the blueprint 1. Start with Your “Executive Why” Not hype. Not motivation. A purpose strong enough to carry you through the days where nothing goes your way. Elite SDRs operate from identity, not emotion. 2. Set Strategic Goals, Not Tasks This isn’t a to do list. It’s the roadmap for your sales career. Top goals look like: • Top 1% producer within 12 months • AE ready with a repeatable outbound process • Master executive communication + business acumen 3. Know Your Numbers (Most Reps Don’t) Your metrics tell the truth: calls to connects to replies to conversions to meetings to pipeline. If you don’t know your baseline, you can’t scale your performance. 4. Brutal Self Awareness Wins Elite reps know exactly: • what they’re great at • where they’re average • where they’re losing deals before they start Honesty accelerates your career more than any training. 5. Pick ONE Quarterly Mandate Not five. Not “get better at everything.” One focus area that actually moves the needle: • Better objection handling • Higher email relevance • Stronger cold call openings • Tighter follow up discipline Small hinges swing big doors. 6. Engineer Your Improvement Great reps don’t “try.” They train. • Daily role plays • Weekly call reviews • Build objection libraries • Study top reps • Intentional coaching Repetition to Mastery. 7. Grade Every Day Like an Operator A, B, C, D, F Look at your effort. Look at your execution. Look at your follow up. If you don’t audit it, you can’t improve it. 8. One Call Breakdown Per Day One call dissected with intention is worth more than 50 calls made without reflection. 9. Small Improvements to Massive Career Compounding The best SDRs aren’t the loudest. They aren’t the most charismatic. They’re the ones who document, review, refine, and repeat. What would you add to the list #salesdevelopment #sdr #bdrevolution #pipelinegeneration #salesleadership #careerdevelopment #topperformers #outboundprospecting

If a prospect says the price is too high—it’s over. Right? Too many reps stop selling when they hear a pricing objection. ❌ The myth: “Price objections = rejection.” ✅ The truth: Price pushback is often just uncertainty dressed up as budget concern. 🔥 Here’s what top performers do instead: 1️⃣ Ask, “Is it the number—or the value?” 2️⃣ Reinforce ROI with client success examples 3️⃣ Shift focus from cost to cost of inaction 👉 How do you handle pricing pressure without dropping your rate?

SDR Managers, a 50k base doesn't pay rent in 2025... and an unattainable OTE doesn't help. Top SDRs aren’t fooled anymore. They’re checking salary reports [see link below]. They’re talking to peers. And they’re applying to companies where comp plans reflect reality. If you want to keep talent, start with a livable base. Then build a culture where the OTE is real, not theoretical. SDRs talk. Word spreads. Want to see which companies are paying SDRs fairly? Check the list: https://lnkd.in/eRT2rXEr

The problem isn’t the tools. It’s the copy-paste habits that never die. SDRs keep thinking {FirstName} = personalization. Prospects see it instantly, and ignore. At #Outreaches, we teach teams to replace “just checking in” with actual context. The difference is simple: replies instead of silence.
