In a somewhat full circle moment I’m excited to share that I will be joining Nike as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. Working across markets, cultures, and businesses around the world reinforces a simple belief: Great things happen when talented people unite around a shared purpose. Nike's commitment to athletes, innovation, and the power of sport is unmatched. Joining Elliott Hill, the leadership team, and teammates around the world is an incredible opportunity to help strengthen connections with athletes and consumers. I am looking forward to connecting with customers, consumers and helping shape the company's next chapter of growth. To the many colleagues, mentors, and friends who have been part of my journey, thank you. You helped shape me into the leader I am today. Walmart’s purpose, values and people are what make it such a special company. The relentless focus on the customer isn’t something that's talked about from time to time. It's woven into everyday decisions, big and small, and into the way people lead. I am fortunate to have had many exciting and challenging opportunities across businesses, functions and roles, both in Bentonville and Internationally. Along the way, I have worked with so many extraordinary leaders and teams. That variety is a rare gift in any career and I leave filled with gratitude and incredible memories. There are so many people to thank but special appreciation to Doug McMillon who took a chance on me back in 2012, to all my managers each of whom I have learnt from and for the teams I have led and been a part of. With some recency bias I want to give a shout out the incredible team in China who move with speed, tenacity and relentless focus on delivering amazing products and experiences for our members and customers and who made me feel so welcome. The send off last week was a moment I will remember for ever. I also want to thank my Walmart sisters who are no longer just colleagues but friends for life. Thank you for always cheering me on. #team Walmart

Emily McNeal liked thisEmily McNeal liked thisA year or so ago, I went back to running my own company, telling myself "let's see where this leads." It led me through amazing opportunities from startups to large AAA game consulting. Supporting teams in their hardest, most rewarding work. And now it is time for a new adventure. That adventure starts now: I've joined Scopely as VP, Head of Slate Operations, in the Slate Development Group. The first pull was the work itself. Sitting across a whole slate of games and making the machine run — decisions made once, teams not rebuilding the same thing six times over, the messy space between teams turned into an advantage instead of a drag. The kind of work that's invisible when it's going well. Which is exactly why I love it. The other pull was the people. Passionate about building great games, resilient through the industry's toughest period, believing the fun and uniqueness will pay off. So here I am, in a new journey, excited to see where it leads :) #newadventure #culturematters #gamedev #enjoythejourney

Emily McNeal reacted on thisEmily McNeal reacted on thisAfter 9 extraordinary years, I am transitioning from my role as Chief Legal Officer, SVP of Government Relations and Chief Compliance Officer at Quantinuum. I will remain with the company as a Special Advisor through the end of the year, supporting the leadership team and helping ensure a smooth transition. It has been an incredible privilege to help build Quantinuum, to serve as its first Chief Legal Officer and to be one of the first legal leaders in the quantum industry. Being part of the team that took the world’s first publicly traded, pure-play quantum computing company public was one of the most exciting and meaningful experiences of my career. I am also deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to grow alongside the quantum industry from its earliest days…and perhaps to have been one of its first general counsel. This chapter has been professionally exhilarating, demanding, and deeply rewarding. It has also reinforced how important it is to recognize when the time has come to create space for other priorities. After several health challenges within my family and with my oldest child heading off to college, I am looking forward to spending more time with the people I love and being fully present for this season of our lives. Once my advisory work concludes, I plan to take some time to rest, reflect, and think intentionally about what comes next. I remain deeply passionate about leadership, governance, emerging technologies, and helping organizations navigate periods of growth and transformation. While I don't yet know exactly what the next chapter will look like, I'm excited to see where new opportunities and conversations may lead. For now, I'm looking forward to spending more time with my family and embracing a different pace for a while. I am enormously grateful to the colleagues, mentors, partners, and friends who have been part of this journey. I am proud of what we accomplished together and excited to see where Quantinuum, and the quantum industry, goes from here. #Quantinuum #QuantumComputing * Photo courtesy of Meagan Jordan Photography

Emily McNeal liked thisEmily McNeal liked thisThere are moments in a career that remind you why you chose this profession. Today is one of those days. After nearly 20 years with Honeywell Aerospace, it’s an incredible privilege to help launch our company, Honeywell Aerospace, as an independent, publicly traded aerospace and defense company. This milestone wasn’t defined by a single event. It was made possible by thousands of people working together with purpose, navigating challenges, solving complex problems, and never losing sight of what we were working toward. As Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Deputy Corporate Secretary, I’m proud to be part of a team committed to doing things the right way—with integrity, accountability, and respect for the trust our employees, customers, shareholders, and communities place in us. What excites me most isn’t just today—it’s what comes next. It’s the opportunity to continue inspiring future innovators through STEM education, opening doors for more young women to pursue careers in aerospace and engineering, and investing in the communities where we live and work. Those are the kinds of contributions that extend well beyond any single milestone. To my colleagues—past and present—thank you for making this day possible. And to our customers, partners, and shareholders, thank you for your confidence as we begin this next chapter. Here’s to what’s ahead.

The deal market is recovering. The execution gap is not. According to Alvarez & Marsal's 2026 Value Creation Survey, 89% of PE investors, operating partners, and portfolio company executives describe the North America deal market as moderately or highly active. That headline reads as optimism. The data underneath it does not. Forty-one percent of those same respondents report realizing less than 75% of planned value creation over the last 12 months. In an environment where holding periods are already extended and exit windows remain narrow, missing three-quarters of your value creation plan is not a rounding error. It is the story of the hold. The gap is not a strategy problem. Most sponsors enter deals with credible theses. It is an execution problem, specifically the distance between what diligence assumes and what the organization actually delivers once the clock starts. Fewer than one in four respondents embed value creation planning before a letter of intent. That means the operational blueprint, the KPIs, the management bandwidth requirements, and the leadership profile needed to execute are all being defined after the commitment has been made. I've seen this sequence play out in healthcare services more than anywhere else. The complexity of running a multi-site clinical platform, managing payor relationships, and retaining a clinical workforce under cost pressure does not reveal itself in a financial model. It reveals itself in year two, when the original thesis meets operational reality and the leadership team that was right at close may not be the right team for what the business has become. The gap is rarely about effort or intent. It is almost always about whether the team's collective capability matches the operational demands of the next phase of the hold. The sponsors closing this gap are not doing anything exotic. They are building repeatable operating mechanisms, moving value creation planning earlier in the process, and treating leadership selection as part of the execution infrastructure rather than a separate workstream. That sequence is not optional anymore. In this environment, it is the margin of difference between a return and a recapitalization.

What Are the Costs of Weakening Shareholder Primacy? "The mainstream theory of corporate governance in the United States holds that the primary responsibility of the board of directors and management is to maximize the wealth of shareholders. This is the theory of shareholder primacy. If directors and officers stray from their duty, shareholders can constrain or remove them. "An alternative theory is that directors and management should consider all stakeholders, including employees, customers, and communities. This theory offers limited guidance when decisions affect stakeholders differently, so it gives much more discretion to directors and officers than the shareholder primacy theory. As a result, the stakeholder theory enables insiders to pursue their own interests and find excuses for underperformance. "In 2017, the Nevada legislature ended this practice by unanimously passing Senate Bill No. 203, which clarified that shareholder primacy does not apply in Nevada and that directors and officers are protected from shareholder litigation. "In sum, our findings provide robust evidence that weakening shareholder primacy imposes real costs on firms. The results contribute to ongoing debates in corporate governance and legal scholarship over the proper objectives of corporations, highlighting that shareholder primacy is central to accountability, efficiency, and value creation." #shareholderprimacy #stakeholdermodelfallacy #corporategovernance #corporatelaw #Delaware #Nevada https://lnkd.in/gBUZs4vj

I had a great conversation recently with Peter Lehrman on the Axial Masters in Small Business M&A podcast discussing how the lower middle market has evolved over the past couple of decades. Over the last 25 years, the ecosystem has changed dramatically. Many funds outgrew the lower middle market, while additional equity sources like independent sponsors, family offices, new LMM funds, and large funds moving ‘downstream’ have expanded the participant pool. Purchase multiples and equity contribution percentages have increased, adding pressure to returns, and the credit markets have evolved as well, impacting leverage rates and deal activity. We talked about what this shift means for private equity value creation today. At Broadwing Capital, implementing platform growth tools in alignment with founders and management teams are more important drivers of return than financial engineering. I also shared the investment thesis behind our recent acquisition of CloudScale365, Inc. and how we think about growth, culture, and stakeholder impact post-transaction. Thanks to Peter for the thoughtful discussion. If you are interested in where the lower middle market is heading, it's worth a listen. https://lnkd.in/gTaMcGAc

I’m stepping more directly into interim and operating CFO work. Over the past decade, I’ve consistently been brought into sponsor-backed and growth-stage platforms at inflection points — acquisitions, liquidity pressure, lender negotiations, audit remediation, capital raises, or operational scale. I build institutional-grade financial infrastructure fast. That means: • Liquidity visibility and covenant discipline • Clean audits and lender credibility • Transaction-ready reporting (QoE, data rooms, integrations) • Repeatable forecasting and KPI frameworks I work where capital and operations intersect — ensuring companies are positioned to access funding, execute deals, and scale without losing financial control. I’m open to select interim and fractional CFO mandates where execution speed and clarity matter. If you’re a sponsor, CEO, or investment partner navigating one of those moments, let’s connect. — Ken Anthony Stanford MBA | CPA | Growth Infrastructure CFO

What’s old is new. Funny to watch VCs flood back to out-of-favor business models—hardware-enabled software, marketplaces, consumer tech—which are now viewed as more defensible because AI can't easily replicate physical infrastructure, network effects, or brand.

What does the "new era" of private equity look like? This week at PEI NEXUS, Bain & Company's Chairman of Global Private Equity Practice Hugh MacArthur recapped the firm's latest Global Private Equity Report. Hugh noted that firms will need to focus on what they do well in a “new era” for private equity. These sentiments echoed much of what Private Wealth Forum speakers, including Arax Investment Partners Founder and CEO Haig Ariyan, Laird Norton Wetherby CIO Ron Albahary, CFA, Ardian Managing Director, US Private Wealth Solutions Ava Mallin, and Citi Wealth Head of Private Equity and Real Estate Jeffrey Locke, shared on stage at PEI. This week's AGM Alts Weekly dives into what a "new era" in private equity might look like, connecting dots and data points from Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company's 2026 reports on the state of the private equity industry. Some key themes defined the takeaways from both reports: ➡️ Returns will not be a dime a dozen: Bain's punchline? "12 is the new 5." ➡️ Megadeals, big questions: 2025 witnessed an increase in global buyout deal value. However, just 13 deals of $10B or more contributed 69% of the growth in 2025, accounting for $274B of the global gain. ➡️ A K-shaped industry: Private equity appears to turning into a K-shaped industry, with “a subset of elite funds [being] on the upswing while everyone else muddles through.” ➡️ No fun in fundraising: McKinsey noted that core, closed-end fundraising has “become more competitive, selective, and time consuming.” ➡️ Continuation nation: There’s been a marked rise in continuation vehicle activity, but only represents less than 10% of exit value. ➡️ Mid-sized deals not so mid: Megadeal activity grabbed the headlines. But deal sizes $1-5B deals grew 29%. Growth in the $1-5B deal size segment could be encouraging for specialist buyout funds. There are some key questions for allocators to grapple with as they think about what private equity might look like in the future. 1️⃣ Do allocators believe public markets will continue to outperform private markets? 2️⃣ Will fundraising bounce back? 3️⃣ Can firms kick value creation into motion? 4️⃣ Are both GPs and LPs ready to handle how investors might look to exit evergreen vehicles? 5️⃣ For LPs, are they finding managers that have an edge? Read on for more👇 This week's Alt Goes Mainstream's AGM Alts Weekly, brought to you by DealsPlus, covers: 🗂️ AGM Index, an index that tracks the leading publicly traded alternative asset managers. 💻 Who is hiring: Senior-level positions from companies Blackstone, KKR, Apollo Global Management, Inc., Ares Management, EQT Group, Blue Owl Capital, Franklin Templeton, Fortress Investment Group, iCapital, Goldman Sachs, Ultimus Fund Solutions, Krilogy, MSCI Inc.
