That brings our total funding to over $56M. Deep Cogito is a post-training research lab, with a focus on reinforcement learning and recursive self improvement. These are the techniques now driving the frontier of intelligence, and, we believe, the right path to superintelligence. We function as an applied research lab - research and application go together. We build and release open weight models and use our post training stack to work with several leading technology companies on large-scale post-training programs. Dylan Itzikowitz reposted thisDylan Itzikowitz reposted thisFull circle, reaping what we sow, moment for M-XR ♾️ In 2018 we developed technology to capture unique 3D datasets without the need for complex hardware, so we could build a real world, large scale dataset and train the best models for PBR materials. Often times, investors would ask "who decides to build that business?" and we would desperately try to explain. Now we can show this. The I2M model powers high-quality 3D batch workflows in Marso App (link below). Anyone can input an image of a scene, detect and select interesting assets and generate high quality 3D with production ready PBR. The model is already being adopted by AAA Games Studios and Physical AI teams for robotics training, and it isn't available in any other 3D asset aggregators (yet!). Proud of the team. Dylan Itzikowitz reposted thisDylan Itzikowitz reposted thisFor years, the advice was to move to San Francisco if you wanted a career in tech. That advice is now wrong. New York has become the most exciting place in the world to build. A few reasons why: 1. The AI labs are here. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and hundreds of others all run meaningful operations in NYC. You can now build a serious frontier-tech career here without giving up anything. 2. Every major industry lives here, and so does its AI counterpart. New York doesn't only have "tech," but finance, media, advertising, fashion, healthcare, real estate, law, and commerce too, with their applied-AI layer counterparts being built on top of each one. 3. The talent pool is unlike anywhere else. SF gives you engineers. New York gives you engineers, plus world-class designers, salespeople, bankers, marketers, operators, creatives, and media people, all at the top of their fields. Companies will need all of them. 4. People actually want to live here. New York is unlike any other city with its density of restaurants, art, nightlife, fashion, and media - and the people working across these sectors. If you're building something and you're more than just tech, I'd argue there's only one city for you right now.

Sentience is building personal AI models that learn from our memories, relationships, and experiences while remaining owned by us. Together with Sam and the builders in the room, we discussed agency over our digital selves, a subject on which we at ScaleX Ventures will soon share our research. A few takeaways: - Sovereign AI is relevant to everyone. Our group came from diverse backgrounds, yet everyone had a personal perspective to share. - The future of AI will not be defined only by smarter models. As these systems become more personal, ownership and agency will matter even more. - Sentience has a very cool office, and New York 🗽 is full of amazing people. Thank you to everyone who spent their Sunday morning with us, and to Sam, Teddy, Pratham and the entire Sentience team for the great energy and kind spirits.
