David Schmaier reposted thisDavid Schmaier reposted this“SaaS is dead”, the “SaaSpocalypse”, whatever that was from Citrine, doomerism, anti-doomerism, post-doomerism. Blog posts and threads on X are for the armchair intellectuals. And while they theorize, we live in reality: where outcomes matter, and the “how” is as important as the “what”. I’m incredibly proud of the work we have done with customers every day, in the trenches, to build an agentic business for real enterprises. $800M in ARR, 29K deals, 50% growth in pilots—>prod. 19T tokens. All great numbers and progress. The most important thing though: a laser focus on whether customers are truly using this technology to get real work done. And to this end, we introduced a new metric today: the Agentic Work Unit. It’s an idea and an experiment to really dial in the most critical question: are we turning this incredible and abundant intelligence into real work? As our partners at the leading model companies confirmed (repeatedly) over the last week or so, intelligence alone is insufficient. What matters is if that intelligence can be used for real work. And real work needs context, it needs process, and it needs to be deeply tied to where people work, collaborate, and engage. I am so excited to have a goal we can all work on together. Tokens are the fuel, the work is the output. And we are going to learn so many things: how do we get more work out of our intelligence? What scales? What doesn’t? How can we better predict how investments in agents mature? Fundamental. Exciting. And a massive opportunity. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gTR3wT_f

David Schmaier reposted thisDavid Schmaier reposted thisThe shift to the Agentic Enterprise isn’t theoretical. It’s happening. And customers are leading the way. Yesterday, I wrote about what it really takes to operate in the enterprise. Not just intelligence. Not just models. But a trusted architecture where agents are built, governed, and run in the heart of the business. This week, that vision was reinforced. Agentforce was ranked the #1 Agentic AI Product in the 2026 G2 Best Software Awards, based on more than 500,000 verified customer reviews. G2 rankings are grounded in real users, running real workflows, and seeing real outcomes. Our customers are building agents with full business context across Salesforce. They are combining reasoning, orchestration, deterministic controls, and deep observability to automate meaningful work across the entire customer experience at enterprise scale. That is Agentforce - the most trusted agentic operating platform, built on 2+ decades of enterprise architecture, data governance, and operational depth. David Schmaier reposted thisDavid Schmaier reposted this🚀 Enterprise AI is real, measurable, and delivering impact; not just hype. Proud to see Salesforce’s AI journey featured in VentureBeat this morning, underscoring how our customers are turning AI investment into real business outcomes, even as broader narratives debate whether AI is a “bubble.” Thank you to Michael Nuñez for covering this story. 📈 In the past quarter alone, Agentforce added 6,000+ enterprise customers, bringing the total to 18,500+ running billions of automated workflows and helping drive agentic AI revenue past $540M ARR. From Williams‑Sonoma to Engine and Adecco, customers are not just piloting AI, they’re putting it into production to accelerate workflows, improve efficiency, and unlock ROI at speed. What’s especially exciting is the grounded perspective this piece brings: 🔹 Real customer outcomes matter; not just demos 🔹 Enterprise trust and governance are foundational to scaling AI 🔹 Moving agents from simple Q&A to workflow execution where value truly scales I’m also grateful for the lens that analysts like Dion Hinchcliffe and Futurum bring by validating how a platform‑centric approach helps businesses adopt agentic AI with confidence and unlock differentiated value vs point solutions. 👉 If you haven’t yet, give the story a read, it’s a great snapshot of where enterprise AI is actually at today (and where it’s headed into 2026): https://lnkd.in/gSepS7EkWhile everyone talks about an AI bubble, Salesforce quietly added 6,000 enterprise customers in 3 monthsWhile everyone talks about an AI bubble, Salesforce quietly added 6,000 enterprise customers in 3 months

In our view, this year’s ET30 List reads like a map of where enterprise technology is headed next at remarkable speed. What began as the age of AI application accelerated into a wave of agents. Across a range of verticals, from customer support to finance to developer tooling, agentic systems are becoming the new foundation of enterprise. The list also highlights the acceleration of capital into enterprise technology. Their findings reveal that the median Giga company is now valued at nearly 3x what it was just a year ago. The industry is compounding. Early-stage founders are getting younger, and companies are doing more with far less. Taken together, every ET30 List functions as a time capsule, and this year tells a bigger story. Capital is concentrating, and the next generation of enterprise is AI-savvy at every layer. Proud to back these teams helping to write that future. Congratulations to all of the founders and teams recognized by Wing Venture Capital and Eric Newcomer on this year’s ET.

David Schmaier liked thisOutcomes like this don’t happen without visionary and relentless founders. When Lightspeed first invested in Wiz in 2023, we said that Assaf Rappaport, Ami Luttwak, Yinon C., and Roy R. were building one of the next seminal companies in cyber. Today’s closing of Google’s $32 billion acquisition is proof. I have watched this team operate with a rare combination of technical depth, customer obsession, and speed. $100 million in ARR in 18 months. Trusted by half the Fortune 100 in under five years. They built a security platform for the multi-cloud era from the ground up, not as an afterthought, and they did it faster than anyone thought possible. As AI reshapes how organizations build and deploy in the cloud, the attack surface is expanding faster than ever. Wiz isn’t just defining cloud security. They are defining security for the AI era. That is why this acquisition matters beyond the headline number. For Google Cloud, Wiz provides the most comprehensive security platform in the market at a moment when every enterprise migrating AI workloads to the cloud is asking the same question: can I trust this environment? Google just answered that question. Congratulations to the entire Wiz team. A proud moment for Lightspeed.David Schmaier liked this$100M ARR in 18 months. $32B acquisition in five years. Wiz didn’t just build a cloud security company. They redefined how fast a category leader can be created. Congrats to the entire Wiz team. This is what happens when speed meets substance.

David Schmaier liked thisDavid Schmaier liked thisTen years. A full decade. 🤩 It’s hard to believe it was back in 2016 when a small, determined team gathered around whiteboards with packs of sticky notes to map out the very first data models for what would become Financial Services Cloud (FSC). Back then, we started with a focused vision for Wealth Management. We wanted to give advisors a better way to map complex households and build deeper client relationships. Fast forward to today, and I am incredibly humbled by what we’ve built together: A comprehensive, purpose-built platform powering Retail Banking, Wealth, Asset Management, Insurance, Commercial Banking, and Lending. Cutting-edge innovations in Collections, Digital Insurance, Brokerage, Compliance and so much more. But when I look back at this milestone, I’m not thinking about the code, the data models, or even the revenue. I’m thinking about the people. A product portfolio of this scale doesn't build itself. It takes visionaries, builders, problem-solvers, and believers. To the incredible team here at Salesforce today, and to the alumni who poured their hearts into laying our foundation in those early years... THANK YOU. We simply could not have reached this milestone without your passion, your resilience, and your brilliant minds. You know who you are. As we look ahead, I couldn't be more excited for our next chapter. We are stepping into our second decade with a massive glow-up as Agentforce Financial Services, bringing the power of autonomous AI to the world of financial services. But before we rush into the future, we want to honor our past. Over the coming months, we will be opening our 10-year time capsule and sharing "A Wealth of Memories", a video series highlighting the incredible humans behind the product. Stay tuned to hear their stories. Here’s to the last ten years, the people who made it possible, and the incredible decades ahead! #Salesforce #FinancialServices #AgentforceFinancialService #ProductMilestones #FinancialServicesCloud #WealthOfMemories

Your Cloud Infrastructure bill is the new headcount plan. For years, startup board meetings obsessed over hiring velocity to drive growth. Now we’re seeing a shift. CFOs are putting cloud spending in the spotlight. In the age of AI, the marginal cost of delivering value isn’t a new developer for a salesperson; it’s a token, a model call, or a GPU hour. That’s why we backed Matt Biringer and Yassine Açoine at North.cloud. Their AI-powered financial system helps high-growth startups and Fortune 500 companies alike manage cloud costs with the same visibility and rigor they bring to development, hiring, and GTM. • No FinOps headcount required • Massive savings in minutes, not quarters • 500%+ net retention, hundreds of millions of cloud spend under management • Customer DevOps teams can focus on... drum roll... development and deployment, not forensic cloud accounting exercises. Cloud COGS are becoming core to your business model. North makes them predictable & controllable. Here's why we led their Series A round and why you'll never go back after trying this solution in your cloud infrastructure: https://lnkd.in/eQFHp9ku #DevOps #CFO #venturecapital #FinOps #AIinfrastructure

Big milestone for Firmable. We’ve raised $14m Series A led by Airtree. Sales has moved through a few big waves: intuition-led, CRM-led, data-led. We’re now entering the next one – intelligence-led sales. The opportunity isn’t just better data. It’s turning that data into clear direction and action, without adding more work for sales teams. That’s what we’re building at Firmable: a foundation of trusted external data, layered with intelligence that helps sellers know who to focus on and when. Led by Airtree, this round supports our expansion across Asia and into the US – and accelerates the build-out of AI agents that take the admin work off sales teams so they can focus on what they do best. Proud of the team, grateful to our customers and investors. We’re just getting started. Salesforce Ventures recently invested in Upwind Security’s $250M Series B 🚀 I have known the amazing Amiram Shachar and the team from their time building spot.io (acquired by NetApp) and have been hoping to partner ever since we met. Amiram's mentality as a founder and CEO is something else. He said it best himself in our recent interview: running a company is like eating glass and enjoying it. 80% of your day is bad and that's fine. That's the job. That's exactly the founder you want building in a category this competitive. Here’s what excites us most about Upwind: > Most tools work "outside-in" — static snapshots, agentless scans, theoretical vulnerabilities. Upwind flips this with eBPF-based runtime visibility at the kernel level > They can mathematically prove which vulnerabilities are exploitable in production, not just present on disk > ~95% alert noise is eliminated, so security teams finally focus their time on what really matters > One platform covering CSPM, workload protection, detection & response, API security, identity - and increasingly, AI model security 🎥 Take a peek at my founder interview with Amiram here if you have a few minutes:https://lnkd.in/dZJ4M6HA Kartik Gupta Paul Drews Tomer Hadassi Max Stevens Gili Raanan Omri Casspi Elliott Robinson and more!

Announcing the Acquisition of Momentum by Salesforce We are excited to announce that Momentum has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Salesforce. Momentum is an emerging leader in the rapidly growing AI-native Customer Intelligence and Observability space. Over the last 5 years, call and meeting recordings became standard practice in the Enterprise, with the promise of improving sales productivity and much more. The reality turned out to be much more difficult, as the prospect of reviewing thousands of hours of video became a "needle in the haystack” exercise. Enter AI. Santiago Ordoñez, Ashley Wilson, and Moiz Virani – the founders of Momentum.io – realized the new hidden gold that was accumulating in the enterprise. Leveraging their deeply technical backgrounds, they built a purpose built data infrastructure to index all this information for the AI era. The product offered profound insights from all conversational data, from forecast and pipeline intelligence to competitive and product insights to customer service empathy. Customers could flexibly define automations and watch Momentum’s AI infrastructure offer insights they could only dream of. This led to rapid adoption amongst some of the most demanding and fastest growing customers in the world. With such rapid growth and enterprise scale adoption, it is not surprising they caught the attention of Salesforce. FirstMark’s journey with Momentum started a little over 18 months ago when we led their Series A. We had been looking furiously to find companies that could successfully and deterministically deploy AI against the demanding rigor of larger enterprises. In Santi and Moiz, we found deeply technical founders who had the foresight that context, data infrastructure, specialization and deep integrations were the winning ingredients to build a category defining platform for go to market teams. In Ashley, we had the glue who brought the team together. Our original thesis centered around how the atomic unit of a meeting could serve so many different use cases. From specific insights on a rep or customer basis to aggregated insights around competitive share shifts, as small examples, the “meeting” – at scale – could become the ultimate source of truth for an organization. An acquisition of a company with the momentum (not the first time!) of Momentum is always bittersweet. But it is obvious what a powerful combination Salesforce + Momentum will be. Working with Santi, Ashley and Moiz, along with the new leaders and fantastic employees at Momentum, has been an incredible privilege for David Waltcher and I. They have built a fantastic organization across the US, Vancouver, India and Argentina. We are grateful for their partnership and, more importantly, friendship. This is a fantastic outcome for FirstMark and we look forward to continuing to back the next generation of leaders driving the next wave of AI adoption.

We are excited to announce our investment in Axion's $37M Series B round! With rising product complexity and global supply chain pressures, traditional, reactive quality control in manufacturing is no longer sustainable. Axion's AI observability platform directly addresses this by connecting fragmented enterprise data across engineering, service, and supply chain teams to detect quality issues and root causes earlier. Furthermore, Schneider Electric is already deploying Axion's solution in several business units, demonstrating clear ROI by using its AI application to predict problems and streamline remediation. Investing in Axion aligns perfectly with SE Ventures' mission to accelerate digital transformation, driving efficiency, safety, and sustainability at scale for the industrial world. Congrats to Daniel First and the entire Axion team. The fun is just getting started! Thrilled to announce our investment in CtrlB! Privilege partnering with founders like Adarsh, who are deeply obsessed with the problem they’re solving - a true force of nature. CtrlB is redefining enterprise observability, building a next-gen telemetry engine that makes search up to 10x faster and 90% cheaper. In an era where enterprises generate terabytes of data every day, CtrlB is closing the gap with a fundamentally new approach to ingesting, indexing, and querying petabyte-scale data - enabling teams to gain real-time visibility without trade-offs between cost and speed. #funding #startups

Excited to see our portfolio company Allstacks launch their Intelligence Engine today - providing instant efficiency insights for engineering teams. Allstacks has been pioneering machine learning and AI-driven intelligence to track engineering efficiency since 2017. The launch of the Intelligence Engine takes that vision to a new level. From M12, Microsoft's Venture Fund co-investing with us at the Series A, to seeing Hersh Tapadia, Adam Dahlgren and the team continuing to win major enterprise customers across the US and Europe, it’s been clear they’re building something category-defining at Allstacks. Engineering teams waste tens of millions each year trying to identify problems and engineering fixes. By connecting data across GitHub, Jira, change management and quality systems, the Intelligence Engine helps leaders move from static dashboards to AI-driven insights into what’s happening, and what to do about it. This is the new foundation for turning engineering data into action - identifying bottlenecks, flagging delivery risks before they compound, and measuring the real impact of generative AI tools across teams. Quadri Ventures is proud to be to backing Allstacks as they continue to redefine excellence in engineering. #AI #SaaS #EngineeringIntelligence #DeveloperProductivity #VentureCapital

The old SaaS pricing playbook doesn’t work for AI. Madhavan Ramanujam and I partnered with Emergence Capital and Jake Saper to write a new one—built for where AI is going, not just where it is today. We lay out what state-of-the-art AI pricing looks like now—and what it will look like: ✅ Hybrid pricing (seats + usage) is the current best practice 🎯 Outcome-based models are the future—pricing tied directly to impact 💰 The best AI companies already capture 25–50% of the value they create As autonomy and attribution improve, outcome pricing will go from rare to expected. Founders who move early will win. Full read here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gwp6tDtp

Scaling a technology company has always been hard. What’s changed is the level of expectation around execution. In the 2026 State of Value Creation Benchmark, produced by York IE in partnership with the Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship at Dartmouth, investors consistently point to faster decision-making, tighter GTM execution, and smarter use of AI as critical drivers of value today. For founders, this means less room for experimentation without outcomes and more pressure to build with discipline from earlier stages. The data isn’t meant to be prescriptive, but it is a useful reflection of how the market is thinking right now. Appreciative of all the survey respondents and the hard work and quality output from the teams who pulled it all together. If you’re navigating growth in your startup or business, it’s worth a read. ⬇️

Two weeks ago on Swimming with Allocators, we sat down with David Clark, CIO at VenCap, to talk about what decades of venture data can teach allocators. One takeaway that stood out: discounts don’t matter as much as people think in venture secondaries. Because venture is such a power-law asset class, outcomes are driven by exposure to a few massive winners. Whether a stake is bought at a small discount, or even a premium, often matters far less than the quality of the underlying company and its upside. Great conversation on venture returns, manager selection, and the nuances of how allocators should think about secondary investments. 👇 Link in the comments.

As enterprise AI moves from experimentation to deployment, Myriad is helping founders accelerate enterprise adoption by going beyond capital and also providing access to operators who have built, deployed, and scaled systems inside the world’s largest organizations. That’s always been our belief behind Myriad’s Executive Advisory Board, and today we’re welcoming a new group of leaders, bringing the Board to more than 30 C-suite executives from Fortune 500 and global enterprises. These operators work directly with the founders in our network on product design, enterprise introductions, and proof-of-concept deployments. It’s a proven model that’s already helping portfolio companies reach 119 Fortune 500 deployments and 70 enterprise POCs. Excited for what we’ll build together. Calendar → Planner → Projects → AI employees. Motion is rebuilding the SMB productivity stack for an agentic world. Stacey Bishop and I are thrilled to share our investment in Motion. They raised $60M, powered by an oversubscribed $38M Series C led by Scale Venture Partners. Harry Qi, Ethan Yu, and Omid Rooholfada are at the heart of it, driving the change every SMB has been waiting for. AI is reshaping business at a speed we've never seen. But for most SMBs it’s still out of reach: too complicated, too expensive, and way too much overhead. The Motion team is breaking down those barriers by replacing the productivity suite with a set of out-of-the-box AI employees, ready to work on day one. A 25-person accounting firm in Kansas City can now have AI teammates handling client follow-ups, prepping docs, updating records, scheduling meetings - the tedious, time sucking stuff that gets in the way of actual work. The team has built a single platform where humans and AI genuinely collaborate. Motion is following a GTM playbook that has led to some of the most significant business outcomes in SaaS: start with a wedge, win the SMB market, then expand across categories and upmarket. We’ve seen this across SaaS giants and within our own portfolio. Box defined content, HubSpot defined inbound marketing, and BILL defined Accounts Payable. They all began with focused products that evolved into comprehensive suites. Motion’s agentic productivity platform is already reaching 10k+ SMBs and is just getting started. The future of agentic work is here, and I can’t wait to see what this team accomplishes! Read more about the story here: https://lnkd.in/dvwkazfK

🚨NEW EPISODE: Recorded live at FUTURE TITANS 2026 - Jeff Perry of Carta sat down with the iconic Seth Levine, co-founder of Foundry. Seth has been in venture for 25 years, built Foundry from scratch as an emerging manager himself, and has backed about 50 emerging manager funds through his fund of funds. He has genuinely seen every side of this table. They went deep on building Foundry, why VCs are in the influence business, not the decision business, and why the concentration problem in venture is not only bad for LPs, but also for the innovation ecosystem overall. And why Seth's new book, Capital Evolution, is so important for the future of America. 🎧 Links to listen... Apple: https://lnkd.in/ehQUQ2EM Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eU4FExpg

Seth Levine nailed it! The concentration problem isn't just a GP pain point... it's choking innovation. When capital pools around the same 20 funds, emerging managers and founders get shut out. Love that he's using his platform to call this out. Foundry has backed 50+ emerging managers. That's the diversification the ecosystem needs. This is exactly why Carta exists — making capital allocation visible and accessible. Capital Evolution hits at exactly the right moment. Thanks for having us Daniel Dart. Team Carta loves the community of FUTURE TITANS you have built 🚀
