Dani Weinstein, MBA shared thisI am thrilled to announce today my new venture, The Community Architect! Over the last two decades, I have been helping companies strategize, build, launch and scale their customer communities. Today, I am officially embarking as a solopreneur to offer my services as an Advisor and Fractional Chief Community Officer to help businesses, large and small. #Community is about bringing customers, partners, developers and employees together to share knowledge that drives product/platform usage and adoption. With the acceleration of #AI it is more important than ever that we keep our lens on maintaining the human connections of community while leveraging it to make our collective work more efficient. The need for businesses to identify, measure and connect the value of community to their business is paramount. When done well, this can become a growth enabler and accelerator. Please check out my website (1st comment) and welcome your feedback! So many to thank along the way and apologize if I may have missed anyone. (Link in the comments) AI is moving fast, but healthcare cannot afford to move carelessly. In this discussion, we move beyond hype and into what truly matters: execution, governance, decision-making, adoption, and impact. I’m grateful to Dani Weinstein, MBA, Seema Handu, Ph.D., Ewa J. Kleczyk, PhD and Peter van der Reyden for bringing such a thoughtful, grounded, and holistic perspective to this conversation. At the center of this discussion is a question that matters deeply: How do we move AI forward in healthcare in a way that is practical, responsible, and truly executable? I would love to hear what stands out to you after you listen. What do you believe healthcare organizations must get right first as AI adoption accelerates?

Dani Weinstein, MBA shared thisLast Friday, I attended one of the best #community leader meet ups in sometime. David Nebinski and Zach Hawtof put on a master clinic in running an event that began weeks ago with a slack channel, whatsapp group and timely emails to create a vibe and excitement as we descended upon Gotham for the meet up in Chelsea. Kudos to Maddy B. and Stephen C. who also helped make this magic happen. So many new faces along with many veterans in the room. Setting the tone for the day was the food and drink. Yes you cannot leave NYC with out a good bagel and the spread at breakfast was top notch #LGFB. Lunch from a local Georgian (not Atlanta) restaurant was amazing while paired with Morgensterns ice cream. And to end the day the themed drinks were spot on. Now to the heart of the event were the conversations which really are the fuel for community and our fellow builders. There were no presentations no slide decks, simply authentic conversation on how we think about #community and its #ROI, the impact of #AI and how we maintain human connection and trust. Outstanding level of knowledge sharing and connection was had by all. So good to see my big blue crew Marius Ciortea and Jessica Falkenthal again. Great to meet and see so many others IRL. Dani Weinstein, MBA shared thisLast week I had the pleasure and honor of attending and speaking at the CRM Playaz #IRL26 conference in Atlanta hosted by the venerable Paul Greenberg and Brent Leary. Very much a reunion of old and new friends in the #community of #CRM There were so many good sessions and conversations during the full day event, the HH, the pre-game, dinner and after hours beverages. Several stood out to me. Michael Wu PhD kicked off the keynotes with a history lesson on technological disruptions touching on the Age of Enlightenment and Industrial Revolution. “Innovation drives innovation leading to exponential growth.” Embrace #AI as a tool to process and not be fearful of disruption. Vala Afshar brought his Salesforce leadership to emphasize that all work is teamwork (agent + human). Legacy systems of decades will not be disrupted without the community of human knowledge and trust included in change management. Jeff Gomez reminded us that the collective human journey shapes the corporate narrative and stories we tell. Katrina Ghazarian humans still need to be managed and #AI cannot give hugs! Esteban Kolsky brought the house down in the final keynote. We are in an age exponentially greater than when home PCs became available in the 80s. We digitized work then. We are democratizing knowledge now. Governance is needed to succeed! Outcome *AI as an interface *Redesign how work gets done. *Decision velocity accelerating What to do next *AI as part of the platforms *Redesign the way of work *Develop your AI literacy So good to finally meet in person after so many years of virtual collaboration Ruthie Eisenberg Sam Thompson Bob Faigel Congratulations to the authors on your new book launches Stefanie Boyer, PhD💧Anand Thaker Raymond Gerber Jeff Gomez Alan Berkson. This time, senior enterprise marketing and revenue leaders are coming together for an evening of baseball, sharp conversations, and the kind of meaningful connections that happen when the right people are in the room. Giants vs. Phillies is just the backdrop. At the same time, many friends and colleagues are making their way to HumanX - arguably one of the most relevant places to be right now for anyone focused on the real-world impact of AI on business, leadership, and society. Dani Weinstein, MBA liked thisDani Weinstein, MBA liked thisEveryone's talking about the SaaSpocalypse. The SaaSacre. SaaS is dead. I'd like to coin a different term: the SaaSolution. This is not the time for SaaS to die, it is the time for SaaS to evolve. Technology has always had to evolve. Mainframes gave way to PCs. On-prem gave way to cloud. Every generation faces a moment where the pressure to adapt becomes existential. This is now SaaS's moment. And competition is exactly what drives evolution. The AI challenge is a welcome one. The SaaS platforms that internalize AI into their products and their workflows will emerge stronger, not weaker. Fitter, not obsolete. But it won't be easy. Evolution never is. It will take ingenuity to reimagine products, reconfigure organizations, and ultimately deliver more value to customers. That is what gets me most excited — we've proven that artificial intelligence is real. We have not yet proven that artificial ingenuity is. The creative leaps. The bold product bets. The willingness to cannibalize your own roadmap. That still comes from human ingenuity. I'm fortunate to work with executives and their teams who prove this daily — Rob Tarkoff at Seismic, Michael Beaudoin at Housecall Pro, Steve Seoane at Versaterm, Piyush Chaudhari at Salsify, and Elia Wallen at Engine. They're not running from AI. They're harnessing it. Rethinking their platforms. Building something better. AI-native companies have a bright future and I look forward to investing behind them. But so do the SaaS companies with the leadership and ingenuity to evolve. The SaaSolution is here — and it's exciting to be on the front lines pushing it forward.

Dani Weinstein, MBA reacted on thisDani Weinstein, MBA reacted on thisI’m done with applying to jobs. I’ve got a few applications pending, but the hiring process is so broken, I don’t expect to even get an interview from them either. 200+ applications. Zero call backs and zero interviews. Conflating age with irrelevance instead of experience. Conflating experience with obsolescence instead of wisdom and judgment. What can I say, except… they don’t get it. I’d love to help them understand it, and I’m going to keep advancing the #HCorpManifesto to help those who do get it, but if hiring managers and companies don’t understand the value I, and others like me, us fifty year olds, can provide to guide organizations through this turbulent time… well that’s fine with me. Their loss. I’ve got a portfolio career and I’m going to commit to that instead of begging for help to get connected with companies and job opportunities. They just don’t know who and what opportunities they are turning away by just skipping the conversation we could have. As my bio used to say after all, I am the API for possibilities. So instead, I’ll keep working with my small business client up here in Tahoe, work with some awesome friends on a new startup, and launch a new podcast+ around one of my personal passions. More on those things later this week. I’ve known we can’t rely on companies to survive for a decade, but I was stuck in a mindset of scarcity that accompanied my illness. Now that I’m healthier, now that the seeeds I’ve been planting are starting to sprout, I feel better and more optimistic. I know I’m deserving. I know I’ve got value to create and share with others. I know I’m capable. I know I’m filled with love and that I am loved. Now I’m building the structures to work with amazing people to do amazing things. Things that will transform me and hopefully help you to transform yourself and the parts of your world that really matter to you. It all started in earnest this week. Not sure what shifted in the cosmos but something certainly did. And that shift in energy and attitude continues over the next few weeks as I travel down to San Francisco for HumanX and our H-Corps event at KQED. I really hope to see you while there. If not, we will zoom or talk more directly soon as I share more details of what I’m doing and why I’m finally excited again and feeling the sense of abundance that was always there, beneath the surface of my illness and fear. This is the time of #TheGreatRepurpose. But it’s also the time for reconnecting with that deeper purpose that has always been there. For me that means everything that has happened was the only thing that could have happened and that I am right where I am supposed to be. Here. With all of you now. With love and respect, Chris

Talking Tariffs to Consumers? Don’t. In a recent Retail Dive article, Professor Kirthi Kalyanam of Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business offers valuable insights on how retailers should communicate the impact of tariffs on prices to consumers. He discusses the importance of transparency but cautions that directly displaying tariff costs alongside product prices may create friction and erode consumer trust. Instead, Kalyanam notes that a large body of academic work suggests that focusing on value creation is key to maintaining customer loyalty despite the pressures of rising costs. For more on this read the full article by @ Daphne Howland here: https://lnkd.in/gUjZQp88 #RetailStrategy #TariffImpact #SantaClaraUniversity #PricingStrategy #RetailDive

Tracy Lynn West, Ph.D. new book "From Aspiration to Achievement" explores the persistent challenges women encounter as they strive to climb the career ladder, with a particular focus on executive leadership roles within Southern California community colleges. Women in executive roles frequently report feeling less supported by governing boards and lacking peers who truly understand the unique pressures of their positions. Dr. Lynn offers a candid assessment of the complex journey women must navigate to attain executive leadership, presenting a set of actionable recommendations for individuals and institutions committed to fostering gender equity in organizational leadership, making its insights relevant well beyond the realm of community colleges. This work started with listening. We were hearing stories from nonprofits across the country who suddenly found themselves at risk of losing access to online fundraising due to compliance issues with California’s new law regulating online fundraising, AB 488. CalNonprofits was hearing the same stories. So together, we focused on a policy solution. As I shared with The NonProfit Times, our goal was simple: protect donors without unintentionally cutting nonprofits off from the fundraising they rely on to fund their critical work, especially during year-end giving. I’m proud of what collaboration made possible: • A pause on new non-compliance designations • Streamlined resolution for organizations to retain their good standing status • Over 16,500 nonprofits able to continue fundraising without disruption This is what it looks like when the sector, advocates, platforms, and policymakers work together with good intent and practical outcomes. As we fast approach the new January 15 deadline, I want to first say thank you to the California DOJ for engaging, to CalNonprofits for their partnership, and to The NonProfit Times for helping tell this story and making sure that nonprofits know how to take action: https://gfme.co/4jGPOKo

While on the California Intellectual Property Alliance (CAIPA) board call I was reminded of this phenomenal publication by Mary Fuller, Laura Lee Norris, Joy Baker Peacock, and Sidney Yazzolino — and it’s practical takeaways for organizations of any size looking to build a stronger culture around innovation and intellectual property. What stood out most: Many people don’t recognize when they’ve created something patentable — awareness is the first unlock. Simple, repeatable processes for capturing ideas matter just as much for small teams as they do for Fortune 500s. Diversity in who gets to “be an inventor” directly expands what gets invented. IP isn’t just a legal function — it’s a culture, and it has to be intentional. If you care about democratizing innovation, empowering more inventors, or building an internal IP mindset, this guide is well worth the read. 📄 Link to publication: https://lnkd.in/eQU93xi7 Happy to connect with anyone working on similar initiatives across academia, startups, law firms, or corporate IP teams.

Had a great, lively conversation with the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business Exec MBA students sharing my entrepreneurial journey and lessons learned. Thank you Dr. Dennis Charlebois for the invite. A few tips if you’re thinking about starting a company: 1️⃣ Find cofounder(s) who truly complement you. You can’t be great at everything. Sales, marketing, product, engineering — they’re all different skill sets. (And no, ChatGPT is not a cofounder 😂) 2️⃣ Get feedback early and often. Talk to customers, watch how people actually use your product, and build in analytics from day one. It’s the fastest way to know if you’re really finding product–market fit. 3️⃣ Be disciplined about burn. Know your costs, your runway, and plan fundraising accordingly. Giving your idea enough time is everything. Bonus: stay positive but realistic. As a founder, you set the tone. Your energy shows up in the culture and morale more than you think. I became an entrepreneur because I wanted to create something worth sharing. Know your why — and if you believe your idea can help people, don’t keep it to yourself. Get it out into the world. What’s your top tips for students interested in being an entrepreneur? #entrepreneurship #startuplife #SCU #Broncos #founderjourney #ExecMBA #leadership

What does it truly mean to deliver Whole Person Care (WPC)? It means bridging the gap between a doctor's visit and the real-life social needs that impact health—like access to housing, food, and behavioral support. This is why the recent announcement from SACVALLEY MEDSHARE represents a significant step forward for healthcare in California. They have officially launched the statewide NinePatch, Inc. platform, in a key partnership with NinePatch, Inc. and Solano Women in Medicine (SWIM). John Helvey, CEO of SACVALLEY MEDSHARE, highlighted the impact: "This is a huge step forward for the communities we serve. By integrating the NinePatch, Inc. platform and collaborating with visionary partners like SWIM, we’re helping our providers and counties close care gaps, reduce fragmentation, and improve outcomes for individuals and families—especially those facing complex social and behavioral health challenges." This collaborative vision is shared by their partners. Dr. Lisa Holt, Chief Wellness Officer at NinePatch, adds that the partnership is about "This partnership is founded on a culture of collaboration and a shared commitment to transforming care delivery across the nation. By enabling seamless information flow, targeted referrals, and vendor-agnostic systems, we’re creating the federated infrastructure CalAIM envisioned—one that supports integrated, data-informed care for the whole person.” It's truly exciting to see this level of commitment to making integrated care the new standard in California! IDENTOS Inc. is also working on creating products and solutions for seamless data interoperability between systems that enable the flow of consented information across key stakeholders. Initiatives and projects, like the ones undertaken by SacValley Medshare, highlight the importance of all the hard work we are collectively doing to care for the whole person. https://lnkd.in/gMQ8XbAm #WholePersonCare #CalAIM #HealthcareInnovation #HealthIT #SDOH #Interoperability #HealthEquity #CommunityHealth #PublicHealth #HIE #CIE #DxF

And, as many know, what starts in CA for legislation typically directs other states (and the US Fed Government) to follow. #LLMs are driving the AI that we are using in our workplaces, and California continues to dominate the AI sector, as it is home to 32 of the 50 top AI companies worldwide. 📰 What the law does (direct from the Press Release): SB 53 establishes new requirements for frontier AI developers creating stronger: ✅ Transparency: Requires large frontier developers to publicly publish a framework on its website describing how the company has incorporated national standards, international standards, and industry-consensus best practices into its frontier AI framework. ✅ Innovation: Establishes a new consortium within the Government Operations Agency to develop a framework for creating a public computing cluster. The consortium, called CalCompute, will advance the development and deployment of artificial intelligence that is safe, ethical, equitable, and sustainable by fostering research and innovation. ✅ Safety: Creates a new mechanism for frontier AI companies and the public to report potential critical safety incidents to California’s Office of Emergency Services. ✅ Accountability: Protects whistleblowers who disclose significant health and safety risks posed by frontier models, and creates a civil penalty for noncompliance, enforceable by the Attorney General’s office. ✅ Responsiveness: Directs the California Department of Technology to annually recommend appropriate updates to the law based on multistakeholder input, technological developments, and international standards. 🤔 What are your thoughts on this new CA law? https://lnkd.in/gEB2qXYq

What an honor to receive the Professional BusinessWomen of California (PBWC) Industry Leadership Award alongside so many incredible visionary leaders. I've been fortunate to learn and grow in my career, thanks to HP and thanks to some great external development programs, mentors and sponsors. I’ve learned from leaders who lead with empathy, champion others, and relentlessly pursue excellence. Leadership, to me, comes down to three essentials: #1: Embrace discomfort and just say yes. Growth lives outside your comfort zone. If I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be: lean into the unknown. You don’t need to have it all figured out before to step into new opportunities. It is those moments that become catalysts for your best career development. #2: Find leaders going through similar business challenges or those who you can share and debate with, discuss, and compare notes. As you rise in your career, having a diverse sounding board and place to discuss ideas outside of your own company is helpful. #3: Keep learning. Seek work that inspires you, stay curious, and never stop growing. Thank you to the PBWC community, (and Stacey Heiss for accepting the award on my behalf at this year’s PBWC celebration), as well as everyone at HP who made this moment possible.

Last week at the 2nd annual #CMOHuddles #SuperHuddle in Palo Alto, a career-long dream came true. I had the privilege of having Bob Wright, founder of Firebrick, Inc. and one of Silicon Valley’s most respected positioning leaders, review our Arango positioning narrative. If you know Bob, you know his track record: #Salesforce #Workday #HPE #GitLab #Calendly #Notion #Aruba, #Apollo #Carbon #Postman and dozens of category-defining brands. After meeting at a #6sense #breakthrough #CMO event a few years ago, I’ve followed his work, used his frameworks and always hoped to collaborate. Last week, that finally happened and he offered sharp, generous feedback that I’ll carry forward. 🔥 Bob’s advice: “Every category leader names the missing layer. For you, that’s the System of Context. Say it clearly and say it early.” He also recommended naming the reality most enterprises are already in — the AI Failure Zone. So here’s the refined narrative with that clarity up front: Most enterprises are stuck in the AI Failure Zone, where models look great in a demo but struggle in production because they lack business context, scalability, and cost efficiency. The Arango AI Data Platform gives enterprises the foundation to build their own System of Context — so AI isn’t operating on isolated data points, but on connected context. That’s the difference between a model that returns a plausible answer…and one that delivers an accurate, explainable answer that scales efficiently in production and drives real business outcomes. Bob, thank you for helping us sharpen the problem statement — because great positioning always starts with a clear articulation of the problem. Your core principles have stayed with me for years, and I'm sharing them in hopes of helping others in my network: 1️⃣ Positioning is not a marketing exercise. It’s a strategic choice owned by the CEO and executive team. 2️⃣ Focus on the problem before the product. Start with the market shift, the stakes, and the pain your buyer already feels. 3️⃣ Make the choice unmistakable. Define what only you solve — and why your approach is different. And thank you to Drew Neisser and the CMO Huddles team for creating this 2-day SuperHuddle experience. Deep gratitude to the Strategy Labs Leaders, who made these round robin sessions impactful: 🐧 Bob Wright — Positioning 🐧 Kathie Johnson — Business Plans 🐧 Jamie Gier — Org Design 🐧 Liza Adams & Samantha Stark — GenAI Shout out to the talented CMOs who contributed valuable insights: Heidi Bullock • Malina Johnson • Sandy Ono • Caroline Japic • Kevin Ruane • Mark Abramowitz • Bindu Chellappan • 🔬 S.
