4moTravis Cloyd liked thisA recent article in the Wall Street Journal highlighted how Sphere in Las Vegas, once seen as a risky experiment, has become one of the highest-grossing entertainment venues in the world. What changed? Not just the technology, but the way we think about space. Sphere isn’t just a building. It’s an immersive, media-driven environment where architecture, storytelling, real-time systems, and audience experience operate as one. That shift is exactly what we’re exploring at Florida International University through our D.R.E.A.M.S. (Digital Research Entertainment Arts Media Sciences) initiative, where our students work across disciplines, engaging augmented reality, ethical AI, and location-based entertainment as integrated design systems. They’re not just designing objects. They’re designing experiences. And that matters, because many of the roles required to create something like Sphere didn’t exist a decade ago. These careers demand creative thinkers who can move fluidly between design, technology, and storytelling. This is the space where our students are learning to work. And it’s where new career paths are taking shape. If you’re interested in the future of immersive environments, experiential storytelling, and creative technology, this is something to explore. Today at CES, Jess Shuraleff joined the Digital Hollywood stage to talk about a shift many in the room could feel: From volume to value. From content pipelines to intelligent content systems. It’s not just about what we create — it’s how we use signals, context, and creativity to make content actually connect. Jess spotlighted Uber Advertising's Creative Studio as a response to that shift — helping brands tap into real-time signals to build custom campaigns that bridge URL and IRL. She also spoke to how we’re rethinking the ride — turning the back seat into a curated entertainment space through JourneyTV Presents. Less passive screen time, more storytelling with intent. The way to get people to trust bridges, when previous bridges have collapsed, is to ensure the engineers and frims building them are vetted, overseen and held accountable for mistakes. AI boosters need to rally against the unethical actors more than AI critics do.

The MIT research arrives at a moment when AI systems are increasingly deployed in contexts where explanation isn't just helpful—it's essential for safety, regulation, and human acceptance. As these systems become more sophisticated, the question isn't whether they can match human performance, but whether they can earn human trust through transparency and accountability. The future may belong not to the most accurate AI, but to the most articulately intelligent.

Netflix just acquired Ben Affleck’s AI filmmaking startup, InterPositive. And the headline isn’t the deal. It’s the philosophy behind it. Affleck said it plainly: “It’s not about text-prompting or generating something from nothing. AI, people mostly think of it as making something from nothing. That’s not what this is.” That’s the conversation the industry needs to be having. And it’s the one we’ve been having at Ritual Ads since day one. InterPositive uses AI to help filmmakers adjust colors, apply visual effects, and reframe shots in post. It learns from the production itself. It is designed to be applied to a film, not to generate one from scratch. That distinction is everything. At Ritual Ads, our Creative Engine operates from the same conviction. We are not in the business of replacing creative vision. We are in the business of building the infrastructure that makes great creative vision scalable, faster, and more financially viable for brands that need to perform at the pace of culture. Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos said it well: “There’s a better business and a bigger business in making content 10% better than it is making it 50% cheaper.” We believe that. The race to the bottom on cost is a trap. The real opportunity is in using AI to raise the ceiling on quality while lowering the barriers to getting there. That is what we build. That is what we sell. And it is exactly where the industry is heading. #RitualAds #CreativeEngine #AIProduction #GenerativeContent #CommercialProduction #ContentStrategy #AIFilmmaking https://lnkd.in/gwMjbHk6

THE FORGED COVENANT A Scalable AI-Driven Storytelling & Social Impact Infrastructure Author: George Eagles Studio: GE & LE Studios Mission Engine: The House of Mercy 1. Executive Summary We are building a vertically integrated AI-native intellectual property ecosystem designed to: Produce high-volume cinematic narrative content at drastically reduced cost. Convert narrative engagement into consumer participation. Redirect revenue into a measurable, real-world humanitarian infrastructure (The House of Mercy). This is not charity. This is not crowdfunding. This is structured impact architecture. The Forged Saga (17+ novels, multiple feature-length scripts) serves as foundational IP. AI workflow replaces traditional production overhead. Merchandise and media become revenue vectors. The House of Mercy becomes the visible social return. This creates: Brand-positive AI deployment Public trust amplification ESG-aligned innovation A replicable global model 2. The Market Reality Problem 1 — Media Production Is Cost-Bloated Traditional film pipelines remain structurally inefficient: Previsualization costs Asset iteration cycles Script-to-screen latency Distributed production overhead AI collapses these inefficiencies. Problem 2 — Tech Faces Trust Headwinds Public narrative around AI includes: Job displacement fear Creative theft accusations Ethical uncertainty Human detachment Tech companies require visible, human-centered use cases. Problem 3 — Homelessness & Mental Health Visibility Gap Governments struggle with: Funding allocation Community trust Narrative framing Long-term rehabilitation infrastructure Storytelling can shift perception at scale. 3. The Strategic Convergence The Forged Covenant integrates three systems: A. AI Production Engine Script-to-scene optimization Synthetic previsualization Digital character modeling Iterative world-building at scale Voiceover and multilingual distribution AI is not replacing artists. AI is reducing friction layers. B. Narrative Flywheel Books → Scripts → Trailers → Shorts → Social → Community Each asset reinforces the ecosystem. The universe is expandable. The IP is defensible. The workflow is AI-native. C. Revenue-to-Mercy Model A defined percentage of media and merchandise revenue funds: The House of Mercy A hospitality-based initiative providing: Free meals Mental health support pathways Community belonging This converts digital success into physical compassion. That loop is the differentiator. 4. Why This Matters to Tech Giants 1. Reframing AI Optics Instead of: “AI replaces jobs.” We demonstrate: “AI funds human restoration.” This changes public discourse. 2. ESG Alignment This model aligns with: AI ethics frameworks Social impact mandates Public-private innovation goals Community reinvestment strategies 3. Proof of Concept for AI-Driven Studios This is a test case for: AI-native media production Scalable IP incubation Low-capex storytelling pipelines Distributed creative entrepreneurship
