Currently serving as Deputy CEO of the International Fund, she will assume the role of CEO as of 1 October 2026. A founding member of the Fund's leadership team, Amelie has over a decade of experience managing global, multi-donor impact funds, and has built a global reputation for confronting and solving complex challenges faced by societies. “We are thrilled that Amélie Baudot is taking on the role as CEO. She brings deep institutional knowledge of IFPIM, real ambition for what comes next, and a proven ability to build both the partnerships and the people needed to get there”, said Mark Thompson, Co-chair of the International Fund Board. Ms Baudot succeeds Nishant Lalwani, who co-founded the Fund in 2019 and has led it as CEO since 2022. Under his leadership, the International Fund grew from a novel idea into an international organisation that has supported over 150 media outlets around the world. “At a time when journalists in the Global South are being silenced, sued, and left desperately short of funding, Nishant has built an institution that stands behind them,” said Maria Ressa, IFPIM Board Co-chair. “The Board is enormously thankful to him for the strong foundation he has put in place at IFPIM, and is grateful that he will stay involved with the Fund for the years to come.” Nishant will continue to support the Fund in a non-executive capacity. The Fund's Board and full team are grateful to Nishant for everything he has done for the organisation — and ready to support Amélie as she leads the Fund into its next chapter for independent journalism and public interest media worldwide. “Quality journalism is the connective tissue of communities and societies and we have a duty to ensure its future for all,” said Amelie Baudot. “Over the past four years, IFPIM and partners have worked to ensure that people have access to trusted and accurate information for the simple and complex choices we make in our every day lives. She brings a rich blend of digital transformation, public media, and executive leadership experience, combined with a deep belief in the mission of public media and the essential role of local stations. As someone who has led stations of all sizes, I helped found Public Media Infrastructure – along with my esteemed colleagues at APMG, NCFB, PRX, and SRG – because I know that stations can’t go it alone in this unprecedented moment. I can’t think of a better leader than Jeannie to guide PMI as we build the tools, technology, and shared services to enable stations to thrive in a post-CPB era. I want to extend my deep appreciation to public media veteran Bob Kempf, whose experience and expertise as our interim leader helped lay the foundation for PMI while we conducted this search. At New York Public Radio, our team is embracing partnerships over competition and building lasting audience relationships through events, streaming, video, and community. Many thanks to the always insightful and engaging Tim Hanlon for taking a deep dive with me on his TVREV podcast "In the Vicinity." Tim is always up for centering the importance of public service. In this case, we talked about fighting back against attacks on the integrity of our information systems, investing in the fundamentals of journalism, and supporting the diversity of culture in New York City and beyond. Radical humility and the spirit of collaboration are so important for the success of our democracy -- one in which journalism and creativity thrive, facts unite us, and power answers to the people. NYPR is a center of excellence for multi-platform content with local heart and global impact. Christy Tanner liked thisChristy Tanner liked thisThis weekend, we dropped Marco DeMaio off at NYU—a moment filled with pride, excitement, and a little bit of disbelief. Marco will continue his wrestling career at NYU, joining a program that competes for national championships year after year. Only about 7% of high school athletes go on to compete at the NCAA level, making this an incredibly meaningful accomplishment. What makes us most proud, though, is the road he took to get here. It was not always smooth. Marco DeMaio battled major injuries, shoulder surgery, countless MRIs, and long stretches of PT. He missed most of his junior season—an especially difficult setback for any athlete—but never stopped working to get back on the mat. Through all of it, he stayed focused, put in the work, and kept believing in himself. He finished his high school career with 93 wins, All-Section honors, and four Section 1 place finishes, but the numbers only tell part of the story. His resilience and determination are what stand out most. The Violets and Coach Haberli are getting a terrific young man and a relentless competitor. We cannot wait to see what comes next. What an adventure it has been. #NYUWrestling #NCAAAthletics
