Last Thursday, I had the opportunity to host one of the most inspiring dinners of my career. Meta partnered with Stacy Berns and the Retail Influencer Network to gather some of the most innovative emerging brands in fashion and beauty at the fabulous Majordōmo in LA, and brought in experts from across the industry, most notably, the iconic Millard 'Mickey' Drexler. Mickey gifted the room with wisdom gleaned from his decades of leading some of the biggest brands in retail and his current experience as Chairman of Alex Mill. Every founder and C-suite executive in the room walked away energized by the timeless lessons on the gut instincts needed to be a successful entrepreneur and business leader. Through the power of storytelling, Mickey encouraged the group to continue taking risks, surround themselves with the right people, and, most importantly, stay grounded as kind individuals. As many of these "Born on Instagram" brands prepare themselves for their next phase of expansion and growth, this advice couldn't have come at a better time. The group took full advantage of being together in one room, and many connections were facilitated, partnership ideas born, and friendships made. I’m sure this will be the first of many of these gatherings. Huge thanks go to many who made this event a huge success: Eva Press, Heidi Levyn, Chidi Erike, Stacy Berns, Kelly Roma. Chidi Erike liked thisChidi Erike liked thisAfter a few days into OpenAI’s launch of Brazil earlier this month, the signal was clear: Brazil is not an emerging AI market, it's already a builder market! This launch brought the team and me to beautiful places (Recife, Rio, Florianópolis, and São Paulo) and into exciting conversations with builders eager for practical frameworks + design patterns on how to put Codex and our models to work across their engineering teams and in their products. And the public data matched what we heard in founder, developer and VC conversations throughout the trip. Brazil now ranks second globally in developers using the OpenAI API. It is also the largest Codex market in Latin America. Since the start of 2026, weekly Codex users in Brazil have grown more than 11x, and daily interactions nearly 30x. But the real signal wasn’t the headline growth. It was the speed of the founders and devs moving from curiosity to implementation. Markets like Brazil do not need another generic AI roadshow. Builders need technical depth, access to the right people, and investor ecosystems that help useful products reach users faster. And that's what OpenAI delivered! I’ve been incredibly fortunate to catch a lot of breaks over my career—perhaps none bigger than working in e-commerce and watching its trajectory over the past decade, especially since the onset of the pandemic. I’ve also had the good fortune of having a relatively close perch from which I could witness the incredible rise of Shopify. I'm a sales person at heart and if selling is your thing, you want the opportunity to sell an incredible product. So the opportunity to bring Shopify's industry-defining platform to the world's most sophisticated e-commerce brands was a no brainer. And, as agentic commerce becomes a central part of the retail lexicon, I’m pinching myself about working for a company that is poised to usher in this new era. And I promise this isn't a throwaway corporate kool-aid thing, but I'm really passionate about the Shopify ethos of "making commerce better for everyone." Shopify's success is literally measured by the success of its merchants. I'm also beyond excited to be reunited with Lauren Nemeth — one of the sharpest leaders I've had the privilege of working alongside. Can't wait to get to work with her and the incredible team at Shopify. Onward!

There’s been ups, downs, and a lot of “Great Big Stupid Ideas”. Like, a lot. Throughout it all though, one thing has stayed the same: our customers are involved in the process. We’ve chosen a very difficult path, every new flavor and product is created with our subscribers. We own the manufacturing, fulfillment, R&D, and other inputs that drive innovation and growth across multiple sales channels. So, to all the teammates, customers, and partners who have been with us on this journey, thank you. Here’s to the next 10.

Had a great time chatting with Camille Ricketts and Mada Seghete about where AI is driving impact for Marketing teams, especially those targeting technical audiences. The fundamentals haven’t changed. Developers still want authentic, helpful content vs. the hard sell. Now we just have more tools to help them faster.
