The team is still wired to run a founder-led business. Now they’re expected to operate like a portfolio company. Fast. What actually happens in those first 90 days? 🚨 Reporting requests overwhelm a team that’s never been held to cadence 🚨 Finance starts scrambling to explain things that were never tracked 🚨 The leadership team realizes they’re part of the story, but no longer the entire story 🚨 Change management gets overlooked in the race to make an impression 🚨 Cultural gaps start to show up fast 🚨 Pressure is put on the entire system and weak spots start showing 👉 Speed is expected. 👉 Structure is assumed. 👉 Alignment is missing. I’m deeply grateful for the many opportunities I had throughout my career to learn, grow, and develop lasting relationships. Walmart gave me the chance to work on challenging problems, serve our customers, and be part of something much bigger than myself. I’m thankful for the many leaders, mentors, and friends who shaped my career and invested in my development along the way. There are far too many people to name, but please know how much I appreciate the impact each of you have had on me. Most of all, I’m grateful for my family. Their love, encouragement, and support throughout the years made my career possible. It’s been a privilege to be part of the Walmart team.
