April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month, a time to recognize how everyday distractions affect roadway safety - especially in school zones where children are at risk. School zones are among the busiest and most complex road environments, where drivers, buses, and students share the same space. According to a recent survey of parents and caregivers, driver distractions are common, with more than half of respondents reporting they've seen drivers speeding or talking on the phone while navigating a school zone. These moments of distraction can quickly result in tragedy, with the NHTSA reporting 3,275 deaths due to distracted driving-related crashes in 2023. In 2025, cities across the U.S. demonstrated what’s possible when smart policy, modern infrastructure, and proven safety technology work together. Washington, D.C., New York City, and San Francisco reported significant reductions in traffic fatalities, many by 50% or more. These results align with a broader nationwide shift, with the National Safety Council (NSC) reporting a 12% decline in traffic deaths in 2025 compared to 2024. At Verra Mobility, we’re proud to support communities working to make their streets safer for everyone. The data from 2025 shows real momentum and real lives saved. Hawaii is seeing meaningful safety gains, with traffic fatalities down by approximately 50% so far in 2026 compared to this time last year. While it’s still early, this sharp decline reflects the impact of a comprehensive approach to roadway safety - combining road safety improvements, public awareness campaigns, and expanded enforcement efforts. Automated speed enforcement is helping to reduce dangerous driving behaviors, with recent data showing a 62% decline in daily red-light running violations at camera locations. At Verra Mobility, we’re proud to play a role in supporting these efforts and helping communities save lives. #PublicSafety #Transportation #SaferRoads

Communities across the country are seeing the positive impact of automated enforcement programs, not only in changing driver behavior but by reinvesting in safer streets. In Philadelphia, automated speed enforcement has already reduced speeding violations by 95% on a major corridor and contributed to a 22.6% decrease in traffic deaths. Now, $13 million in program revenue is being reinvested into critical safety improvements across the city, including traffic-calming measures at 100 schools to better protect students and families. From upgraded intersections and improved crosswalks to safer bus boarding infrastructure, these investments are helping create safer environments for everyone - pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike. Innovation in the enterprise doesn’t come from simply hiring the most creative people or launching an “innovation team.” It comes from empowering teams to question the status quo. When teams stop challenging assumptions, the ability to do things differently stops. In my recent #FastCompany article, I suggest that the real enemy of innovation is certainty. That's why smart organizations are consistently driving curiosity, testing, and building customer insights into everyday work and be innovative. That's the discipline we follow at Verra Mobility, enabling us to foster a culture of continuous improvement to better serve our customers. https://lnkd.in/ge2E5T_9 #Leadership #Execution #CustomerCentric #ContinuousImprovement

Verra Mobility is proud to partner with the City of Pittsburgh to launch its first automated red-light enforcement program, helping advance Pittsburgh’s commitment to safer streets. Data shows 750 crashes, including seven fatal crashes, occurred due to red-light running between 2019 and 2023, highlighting the need for a change in driver behavior. The program will begin with cameras at six high-risk intersections, with plans to add six additional intersections each year, up to 30 locations by the end of 2029. #RoadSafety
